Well, the reflection is variable cost, with higher powered attacks costing more chakra to reflect. So the real questions are whether or not we have enough chakra to reflect such a high level tech and will Dotai try to plow through it or go around it.

So far we've used earthquake palm which is medium chakra, disorentation which is low chakra and summoned our hammer which is minimum chakra. With our stamina of 6 and after using those techs I don't know if we have the chakra to use a what's probably going to be a really heavy cost jutsu needed to deflect that kage level jutsu.
What I do know is that despite Dotai being much faster than us, we've been able to hit him twice.

Hmm, if Dotai's tech works similarly to a sharingan-less chidori (can't see/react to an opponent's counter), then C has a good chance of working.
I doubt we have the chakra left to reflect such a high level tech, so C.

I'll get updating later today. Something's off with me right now and I can't start writing.
I will say that C was originally a death option, but your reasonings for picking it persuaded me to let you live through it. B was the correct answer: there was no way it could deflect the technique, but it could certainly hold it off long enough for Bee to see there's trouble and break out of that prison like a boss. And since Dotai is using his strongest jutsu on a genin... it's safe to assume he's too crazed to consider just going around the wall.

So the reflecting part of rebound can also have a blocking effect? I had assumed that if there was insufficient chakra to reflect a technique then that part of the technique would simply fail and leave only the earth wall behind.

Well as it attempts to deflect the technique, it produces a blocking effect as the chakra tries to throw the jutsu back at its wielder.

You form a few hand seals and quickly place your hands on the ground. The earth contorts and rises up before forming a solid rocky coating around both of your arms. You looked up and saw that Dotai was just a few feet away from you, and his sword had been raised and was poised to strike. He swung the blade downwards, and you closed your eyes as you thrust both of your fists forward. Were you going to get hit by the attack...?
Honestly, you expected to die. You expected to get hit by the energy sword and get fried to death by the massive amount of electrical power it contained. Yet... nothing happened. The only one injured was Dotai, who had both earthen fists slam into his chest at the speed he was moving at... which was a lot.
Dotai collapsed to the ground after you withdrew your fists. The rocky coating around them began to crack and then crumbled as it fell back down to the ground. You saw that Killer Bee was standing near you! He must have stopped Dotai from delivering the finishing blow!
"Yo," he said nonchalantly, "I busted outta that cage when I saw you were in trouble. Looks like I got here before you became rubble."
You said nothing, not sure of what to feel. You were relieved that you were alive, but if he broke out of the cage so easily...
"You waited in that cage before you broke out?" you asked in an indignant tone.
"Yes," Bee responded in a more serious manner, "If I broke out of there as soon as I got trapped, you'd never learn to fight for yourselves. You'd always rely on me, and that's a habit you can't form."
"You... fucking... bastards..." you heard Dotai croak beneath you. Upon looking at his body, you wanted to turn away. The blows you had given him had made permanent dents in his body: one in his abdominal region, and the other on his torso. The blow on his torso had no doubt shattered his ribs and dislocated some of them, as a few had punched through his chest. Blood was slowly trickling out of his mouth.
"Should we take him in alive?" you asked Bee.
"Hold on... got some information for you," Dotai said weakly.
"Why would you give us information?" Bee asked in a suspicious tone.
"Because I was set up by my 'comrades,'" Dotai answered, his breaths slow and haggard, "Daiki said he would assist me, but you can see he didn't show up. I don't sense him anywhere, either..."
Dotai began coughing very loudly, causing copious amounts of blood to fly from his mouth. "Fuck, this hurts... but Daiki has two partners... they both left us behind when they learned that your village had found our camp. Looks like he didn't approve of having criminals in his group. He's relocated to a nearby short mountain... it'll be visible on a clear day, and they're in a cave... so do me a favor and kick his ass for me..."'
"Like we'd do a favor for you," you heard Omoi said. You looked over to see Samui supporting Omoi walking towards you. You assumed that Omoi's movements were still screwed up from that weird move Dotai pulled off.
"Take him," Samui said as she was next to you. She handed off Omoi to you, and you held him up. She knelt down over Dotai's body and looked at it.
"This will take a while to heal..." she said.
"I would laugh, but I think that would kill me," Dotai said, his voice barely louder than a whisper, "you can't fucking heal me... I'm dead. The best you can do is let me feel those giant tits of yours before I kick it."
"But we need to turn you in alive so you can pay for your crimes," Samui said, a tone of anger in her voice.
"Fuck that... I'm not getting put on trial. That shit takes forever... if I'm going to be condemned to death, then just fucking end me already. I think I'll do that myself."
"No!" Samui exclaimed, but it was too late. Before she could do anything, Dotai had coated one of his fingers into electricity and drug it across his throat, causing a clean cut across it. Samui stood up and walked away from the deceased criminal and back towards the team.
"Well... we beat him, but we have three left to take in," Bee said, "The question is, when do we attack?"
"That's true... Daiki's smart. He most likely knows that a group from the Cloud was going to attack this camp tonight. If we don't move now, those three may relocate themselves... and then we'd be playing a cat-and-mouse game through the whole country..." Samui said.
"But Omoi can't move correctly, and I have some injuries!" you protest.
"Your injuries can easily be healed by me, but Omoi does need time to recover, yes... he might recover in the time it takes us to go to the mountain, but bringing him will slow us down..."
"We're not abandoning anyone in our team, Samui," Bee said with a stern voice.
"I know that!" Samui said, offended that Bee suggested that she would do such a thing, "It's just... we have a dilemma here..."
You thought it over, and suggested to your team that you should...
A. Move out immediately. There's absolutely no time to waste.
B. Rest for a bit, have Samui heal your injuries, and see if she can try to fix Omoi up. A little time of rest won't hurt anyone.
C. Rest for a while and do the above. Omoi and I need to recover the chakra we spent in our battle.
D. Sleep here at the camp. It doesn't matter if Daiki and his partners get away... if he's so strong, then we need to be fully rested before fighting him.

You turned and walked towards your hammer, which was still laying on the ground ever since you dropped it in the fight with Dotai. You picked it up and unsummoned the weapon. You turned back towards your group and said, "We don't have any time to waste. If Dotai was set up, then Daiki probably already knows he's dead right now, or he has a pretty good idea that he's dead. We have to get to them before they start moving."
"What about me?" Omoi asked in a hurt tone.
"Looks like I'll be carrying ya, kid," Killer Bee said, "and hopefully while we're travellin' that thing he put on ya gets undid."
"Well, I know the mountain Dotai spoke of," Samui said, "it's just a few hours away. Even if Omoi hasn't recovered by then, the disruption in his nervous system should have weakened to the point where I can heal it."
"Let's get crackin'! Lead the way, Samui!" Bee shouted enthusiastically as he dramatically pointed in one direction. Samui said nothing and started walking in the opposite direction. Bee's triumphant pose slowly shrunk and became more pathetic as he realized he pointed the wrong way, and then he dropped the goofy act and practically slung Omoi over his shoulder. You followed your two teachers.
The trip was mostly silent. During the trip, you remembered that your uncle gave you a pill that would replenish your chakra, so you took that during the trip to recover your energy. The only words spoken were those occasionally by Samui describing how dangerous and/or powerful Daiki is, followed by the rebuttal from Bee that he was stronger and they would be fine if they took things carefully.
Quite frankly, hearing Samui's descriptions of the Storm Release made you unsure if Bee's claims were correct. The Storm Release gave electrical energy the flexibility and fluid flow of water, and it additionally exploded on impact. That didn't sound like something you wanted to be on the opposing side of.
After what seemed like an eternity, you finally arrived at the mountain that Dotai had described. There was a nice natural walkway that led up the mountain, and that path took you to the entrance of a cave that could only be where Daiki and his two partners were stowing away. Bee placed Omoi down behind a rock, and Samui began to heal him.
"Hopefully he'll be back to his feet real soon," she said.
"We're moving in," Bee said in a stern tone, and Samui nodded, responding with, "Be careful."
Bee turned towards you, cocked his head towards the cave, and said, "Let's go, kiddo." You nodded, not sure what to feel, and the two of you walked towards the cave.
It was still night, so it was difficult to see past a few inches into the cave, for the rest was coated in blackness. So you were quite surprised when a man wearing a white outfit stepped out of the cave and stood in the moonlight so that you could clearly tell he was there.
The man had a stoic countenance, and his arms were crossed as he eyed you intently. He was still wearing his Kumogakure forehead protector, even though he had defected from the village. The dark color of the headband contrasted with his pale blonde hair and equally pale skin.
"Well, this is surprising. We weren't expecting you to show up for at least another few hours. Good intuition on your part to get here as fast as possible," the man said in a conversational manner.
"Yes... we assumed that you would rest after killing Dotai. After my link with his chakra faded, Daiki told us to move in a few hours, but it seems that you are tenacious," another voice spoke, this one a woman's. A woman with long blonde hair with two blue streaks in it emerged from the shadows. She, too, was wearing white clothes and a dark-colored Cloud forehead protector.
"Of course, we expected nothing less from Killer Bee," the man replied.
"Where's Daiki? We're here to make him answer for his crimes," Killer Bee said in a cold tone that was unlike anything you had come to expect from him.
"Crimes? Looks like you're just accepting whatever Kumogakure shoves down your throat," the man said in a venomous tone as he glared at Bee, "We did nothing of the sort! It is the government that you follow that commits the crimes!"
"Really? Then what were the bandits all about? They were part of your team, and they were criminals! Yet you left them to die!" you shouted.
"They were a necessary ally at the time," a third voice said, this one an older man. A third man stepped from the shadows, and you could tell that this man had to have been Daiki. He had broad facial features, most notably his wide nose and cleft chin. His hair was gray and he had prominent sideburns. Unlike his two allies, which were clad in generic white outfits, he was still wearing the Kumogakure flak jacket. A long scarf he was wearing around his neck fluttered with the light breeze that drifted by.
"A necessary ally? Make all the excuses you want, it doesn't change to fact that you're all criminals now," Samui said as she walked up to you and Bee. Where was Omoi? You were about to ask that question when you realized that he was probably in the final stages of recovery behind that rock. It would do good to have him unleash a surprise attack somewhere in the battle.
"You Kumogakure dogs just don't understand," Daiki said, "we had to ally with those criminals! Without them, we would be overwhelmed by the amount of shinobi and hunter-nin that the Cloud sent after us. But they were vile people, those bandits... we could tell that they would harm innocents if they stayed in our group, so we discarded them. It seems that justice has been delivered."
"But... the mission reports said that you pillaged villages and slaughtered innocent people!" Samui interjected.
"All lies!" Daiki boomed, "Falsifications made by the higher-ups in your village to make it easier to take down the hero gone rogue! Do you think I would abandon the village I have served for over three decades just to cause wanton violence and destruction? Does that sound logical to you?"
"Habaki Mohara... Mokoke Sumito... Daiki Mohara. You three are wanted alive for treason against Kumogakure. You will be brought to justice," Bee said in a cold tone.
"And of course the brother of the Raikage would unquestionably support his word!" the other man, who's name you assumed was Habaki, jeered.
"If you only knew just what the Cloud has done in the past and intends to continue to do now!" the woman, who you assumed was Mokoke, exclaimed.
"Enough! We didn't come here to chat. We have a mission to fulfill, and you're our targets. Surrender peacefully or you will be brought to justice," Samui said harshly.
"So eager to do battle..." Daiki said quietly in a condescending manner, "We may fight now, but I will make clear to you the evils of Kumogakure and why my movement is the beginning of a revolution long overdue!"
You were unsure of what to think about all of this. Were Daiki and his followers insane? The Cloud seemed like a good village to you, despite some setbacks. Most notably, the persecution of your clan... wait... were those the kinds of things Daiki was talking about? Was the Cloud doing even worse things? You couldn't imagine what, but most people overlooked the injustices towards your clan, or weren't even aware of them. And them appearing to be freedom fighters rather than terrorists made this whole mission make a lot more sense. For once, you weren't sure who exactly was on the right side...
But before you could speak, Bee and Samui charged forth and attacked the Mohara brothers, Bee taking on Daiki and Samui fighting Habaki. The four combatants leaped off of the mountain to do battle on the ground below. This left you facing off against Mokoke.
"You... I can tell you are unsure of what you are doing," she said calmly as she walked over to you. The calm exuded on her was quite odd, given the other two battles that had been taken off of the mountain to, you presume, not cause it to collapse due to the inevitable damage the fighting would cause.
"I'm just not sure what you're talking about... with the crimes the Cloud has done. The only thing I can think of is the persecution against my clan... the Fukui clan," you said, keeping your guard up as Mokoke approached.
"That is just one of the many injustices that the Raikage has made," Mokoke explained, "His vile actions peak at the kidnapping of young children in other villages that possess powerful bloodline techniques! That was the mission that we were given... to kidnap a boy from Konohagakure that has the fabled Sharingan eye. He is the only one left in his clan, except for his older brother, who slaughtered his entire clan. The Raikage wanted those eyes, but the whereabouts of the older brother are illusive. So he ordered us to take the boy, who is probably your age. We absolutely refused. Daiki then found out that this was not a new incident: several times in the current Raikage's rule have there been attempted or successful kidnappings. He claims it's for the good of the village, but-"
Her words were cut off as Omoi leaped from behind you and delivered a slash towards her. He had recovered! Mokoke quickly pulled out a kunai and blocked Omoi's sword before both of them leaped backward to increase the distance between the two sides.
"What are you doing listening to her?" Omoi asked, "How do we know if she's telling the truth?"
"I... well..." you stammer.
"She's dangerous, Doukaku. We can determine if she's right or not after we take her and her team in," Omoi said sternly.
You weren't sure if you agreed with Omoi. What if you were doing the wrong thing? But you didn't have time to think it over and weigh every possibility... you had to choose now.
*Important Decision*
A. Omoi is right. We were given a mission, and she and her team are the enemy. For now they must be stopped!
B. You aren't sure if she's telling the truth, but her words seem genuine. Join Daiki's team... at the cost of abandoning your team and you village.
If A is chosen:
1. Summon your hammer and go on the offensive while Omoi attempts a sneak attack.
2. Summon your hammer and have both you and Omoi blitz her with taijutsu.
3. Have Omoi go on the offensive while you back him up with ninjutsu.
4. Both you and Omoi use ninjutsu.

And, most importantly, are you going to leave behind your team and your clan?

Honestly, B is probably a bad choice. A really bad choice. We'll be wanted by the Cloud, hanging around with a dangerous and backstabbing crowd, lose Killer Bee's training, Omoi's friendship, etc etc. Vagabonds. No home. No family. Hated by everyone. This may not even be the best way to solve the Cloud's problems.
Totally voting B though, because I find it more interesting than a life of doing missions. Too rigid for me.

Just because we're going to complete our mission doesn't mean that we have to just let them be killed without verifying their claims first. B could probably get a proper answer out of A if he felt that there may be some merit, which the treatment of Doukaku's clan could probably inspire.

Honestly, I'm glad B wasn't picked. Then I'd have to chuck out everything I had planned <_<.
------
"You're right..." you say quietly, "...the battlefield is no place to make decisions like this."
"You are supporting a tyrant by doing battle with me!" Mokoke exclaimed with indignation.
"Even if he does do these clandestine things, he still treats the people of the village well enough. Hardly seems like a tyrant to me," Omoi said.
"Omoi, attack and I'll back you up!" you exclaim.
"Gladly!" Omoi shouted as he ran forward. Mokoke threw the kunai she was still holding at Omoi, who easily dodged it. She pulled a scroll from the insides of her shirt, unfurled it, and summoned a naginata, which immediately clashed with Omoi's sword. Omoi tried to slip past the polearm, but Mokoke was skilled enough to keep her distance and prevent Omoi from closing in. That wouldn't last for long if you could help it.
You formed the hand seals necessary for Earth Shore Return and then placed your hands on the ground. A large semicircle rocky wall rose up directly behind Mokoke, who's back pressed against it as she stepped back to keep the distance. Now that she couldn't move back, Omoi successfully slipped past her weapon and closed in.
"Cloud-Style Front Beheading!" Omoi announced as he delivered a potent strike with his blade. Mokoke swerved out of the sword's path and kicked Omoi, knocking him back a few feet. She then ran at him, prepared to skewer him with her weapon. You had used Headhunter not to try and pull her down, but to simply move behind the wall you had constructed. Once you emerged, you punched through the wall, causing a large chunk of it to break off. You moved around the wall and picked up the chunk before hurling it at Mokoke. She was caught completely off guard as the large rock slammed into her back and sent her sprawling forward. Omoi took this opportunity to get up and quickly try to incapacitate her, but she had managed to form a few seals.
"Suiton: Water Trumpet!" Mokoke exclaimed as she placed her hand near her mouth. She spat out water in a rushing stream while water additionally shot out of her hand. You were prepared for her to use a ninjutsu.
"Doton Variant: Earth Shore Rebound!" you shout as a curved earthen wall erupted from the ground. It took little effort to deflect the water attack back at Mokoke... was it because the design of the jutsu was so simple?
Omoi quickly formed a shroud of lightning chakra around his katana, leaped up on top of the wall, and cut through the deflected water stream. The water that was shooting back at Mokoke was now electrified, and you were confident that you had defeated her... until you saw the water splash off of something. You lowered the wall back into the ground to see what had happened, and you saw another earthen wall sinking to the ground. The man from earlier, Habaki, was next to her.
"Two on one? You can't honestly say that's a fair fight, can you?" he asked.
"Where's Samui?" Omoi asked in a tone that held both anger and worry.
"Don't worry; she's fine. She's just caught up in a potent prison jutsu of mine," Habaki said with a smirk. Poor Samui... you wondered if she had a tendency to get trapped.
"They almost had me there, Habaki..." Mokoke said quietly, "They may be genin fresh out of the academy, but the Cloud has trained their students well. The boy known as Doukaku just used a variation of an earthen wall! And he's just a genin!"
Habaki made an impressed whistle, "Wish the Cloud trained us like that back in the day. You kids are pretty skilled... but you're not gonna join us, are you?"
"We don't know if you're telling the truth," Omoi said coldly, "for all we know, you could be lying, or Daiki could have deceived you."
Habaki shook his head with a disappointed click of the tongue, "Well, I can't blame you for thinking that way, but we're telling the truth. Looks like you're the kind of people that need to see things for yourself. Too bad we're not gonna just give up!"
You run up to Omoi and tell him...
A. That you'll focus on Mokoke while he fights Habaki.
B. That you'll focus on Habaki while he fights Mokoke.
C. That you'll both fight the two of them.
If C:
1. Continue the current battle strategy.
2. Switch to both of you attacking with your weapons.
3. Switch to you using taijutsu while Omoi back you up with ninjutsu.
4. Switch to both of you using ninjutsu.
If A or B:
1. Summon your maul and attack with that.
2. Use Doton: Earth Fist and strike with that.
3. Open up with an Earth Rupturing Palm and follow up with taijutsu.
4. Open up with an Earthquake Palm and follow up by summoning and attacking with your hammer.
