You go ahead and sit by her, but don't say a word to her. Iruka shows up and starts babbling, but your thoughts are elsewhere. How much you hate everyone, but even more, how much you hate yourself. It's all your fault, you decide. If you weren't the way you were, everyone would treat you better. The way you are, the god damn Jinchuuriki gelt sorry for you. You look around the room quickly and see Shikamaru out cold. There's a good man. You doze off.
This would be your routine for the next few weeks. Sleep through class, go to dad's or Genma's and sleep, then wake up and sleep in class again. Sometimes, when you wanted some fresh air, you'd go hang out alone in the field near the hospital. It was peaceful there. Finally, exam day had come. Today would be the day you'd graduate. Or fail again. You sit patiently in class until Iruka calls your name.
"Shiranui Takeshi?" he called. You make your way up to the front and try to create a clone. It's messed up beyond recognition. Everyone in the class is laughing their asses off.
"Oi, he failed again!"
"There's always next year! You'll be the 15 year old academy student!"
Damn it, that's right. You were already older than most of your class last time around. How embarassing. Everyone but Hinata, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Naruto are laughing. Sasuke and Shikamaru just don't give a shit. Naruto is too nervous about failing again. You walk off in shame and go home. Genma and your dad are both there. Great.
"Nephew! How'd it go?" Genma asks.
"What do you think?" you say, depressed.
"It's alright, son. Just hang in there," your dad reassures.
"Yeah, I'll get it next year. Third time's the charm," you say sarcastically.
"Actually, there's another way," Genma says.
"Genma, don't..."
"Look, he's 14 years old. I think maybe it's time you let him go. He can't be your little boy forever." Your dad sighs before resigning himself.
"Very well... Takeshi, do you remember your grandfather?"
"Not really..." you say.
"Well... he's a very accomplished ninja."
"One of the best in the world," Genma adds.
"He's been asking for a while for you to go live with him, so he can train you. I've always said you weren't old enough, but, maybe it's time you made your own decision."

You pack up your things and get ready to head out. You agreed to try your best, but you're already wishing you had declined the offer. You tell your goodbyes to your family and head out the front gate. Look who's there.
"Good riddance... the roads around here were beginning to crack under your tremendous pressure," Kiba says. You ignore him and leave Konoha behind for a while. It's a good journey, takes the good part of a day to reach your grandfather's farm. He waits out front for you. Old, but strong. He has a nicely trimmed but grizzled beard and short black hair. He looks mean.
"Grandson!" Nevermind. "I haven't seen you since you were yay high!" he holds his hand down below his knee.
"Nice to meet you, grandpa," you say.
"Make yourself at home. We'll have dinner and you can rest. The work starts tomorrow." You make your way inside and set up your room before heading down to eat. Nothing but potato dishes. Potato salad, smothered potatoes, potatoes with garlic, potatoes potatoes potatoes. Best meal ever.
"There is one thing I wanted to get out of the way tonight. Have you learned to mold chakra?"
"Barely," you reply honestly.
"Well, hold this piece of paper and try to apply your chakra to it. See what happens."
A. It turns to dust. Earth element. B. It rips in half. Wind element. C. It burns to ash. Fire element. D. It gets wet. Water element. E. It crumples. Lightning element.

You try your best to apply your chakra to the paper, and it tears down the middle.
"Wind element," your grandfather says.
"Is that good?"
"That's also my primary element," he says. I'll teach you everything there is to know about it. Now, you should get some rest. We start bright and early in the morning."
You work with your grandfather for well over a year, at first, just plowing the fields. It's tedious work, but you lose all that nasty fat and build some nice muscle tone. You also get a nice little tan. No more pastiness. He teaches you everything there is to know about molding chakra and using wind techniques. He also runs you for days, building up your speed and stamina.
On the anniversary of your first day there, you get a letter from dad. It reads,
"Dear son, I hope this letter finds you well. I just wanted to let you know that your mother came back. She hopes you're doing well, too. She insisted that we move to her hometown, Kirigakure, and being the pushover I am, I agreed. We also sold the house. Sorry! I love you, son."
"God damn it..."
"Well, it's been a good year," your grandpa says. "Two more, and then you are done."
"I'll stay as long as it takes," you say. You've gotten over your laziness. Hard work doesn't bother you one bit.
"You're an excellent wind user, Takeshi, but I think you should learn a secondary element. What would you like to work on?"
A. Water B. Earth C. Fire D. Lightning

"I'd like to learn some water techniques," you suggest.
"A wise choice. If you come across an opponent who overwhelms you with fire jutsus, you can change it up and keep the advantage."
Over the next two years, your grandfather teaches you many water techniques, though not as many as the wind techniques you've learned. Still, you're very efficient with both. You can't use water techniques without a source, but you can create your own damn source. He also teaches you a taijutsu style. You hold a knife or a kunai upside down in your right hand, with your left hand up and at the ready, slightly more elevated than your right. It is a mostly defensive style, based on throwing your opponent or wrenching their arms and legs against the joint. Also, it is efficient for disarming opponents. The best part is, the stronger the opponents attacks, the easier it is to redirect them. You can concentrate wind chakra into your kunai to add more cutting power, as well. He also teaches you the basic ninja techniques, like body flicker and substitution. You also hit a growth spurt. You're not freakishly tall, but a great height, you think.
"You've done really well, Takeshi. I'm glad to have been able to spend time with you. You've grown into a fine young man," he says.
"Thanks, grandpa. I'm a little excited to go back, actually. I wonder if I could take Uncle Genma now?"
"No contest," he laughs. "You'll be in for a surprise if you use what I taught. Come visit me again soon."
"Will do!" You take off back to Konoha. Along the way, you pass by many different travelers. They're all extremely nice. You're even hit on a few time. You aren't used to this kind of treatment at all. Finally, you arrive in the front gates of Konoha. You feel really good about yourself, but there are still a few issues. First, you have no money. Second, if Genma is out on a mission or something, you have no place to stay. You don't want to be a burden, anyway. Third, you're still a damn virgin. You'll need to find a job, a place to stay, and get laid ASAP. Maybe you could kill those last two birds with one stone... you look around for a bit. You see Hinata hanging out on the main road. At first, it looks like she's gained weight, but upon closer inspection, it's just a baggy sweater. You also consider going to the flower shop. There's bound to be good looking girls in a flower shop. You see a pretty girl hanging out with some dorky guy in a green jumpsuit and some chick who looks like Hinata. No, it's a guy. You also consider going chill in your old spot, the open field near the hospital with the bench.
A. Talk to Hinata B. Go to the flower shop C Talk to Tenten D. Go to the field by the hospital

B, Hinata will always love Naruto, RockLee will fight us if we ask TenTen, just because he likes to fight. Going to the hospital is a waste of time.
