Suggesting a board for me to put my CYOA. Below you can find the Pre-prologue, which will decide a decent deal of the CYOA.
This might play out a lot like a game. A really, really interactive game. Most things, if not everything will be decided by you, even if you aren’t aware of it and I’ve already got several hidden stats in mind.
The only things that are set in stone is that the battles will all be srs bsns (though I won’t necessarily write it like that, depends on your answers) and can all be lost, except the first one (it’ll act as a tutorial, I’ll explain the battle system in a different thread, you can ask questions there etc).
GENERAL QUESTIONS
First, please quench my curiosities:
To run a mile it takes you:
A) over 5 minutes B) 3minutes C) A minute D) 20, 30 secs. I’m a ninja baby E) Dunno, never needed to run a mile. Got other ways to change my location.
The colour of the sun is:
A) Yellow B) White C) Blue D) Red E) I wouldn’t know, prefer staying in the shade anyways.
While running 15miles per hour how long does it take to summon?
A) 5 secs B) 4 secs C) 1 minute 30 secs D) 2 secs E) The same amount of time as usual?
Having to cross a bridge you find it filled with enemies. You cross
A) the bridge. Screw the enemies. B) through the sky. Can’t tough this. C) through the river. What’s a little swim? D) below the river. Re-enact the Great Escape while you’re at it. E) your arms, go to sleep and when you wake up you find the bridge empty of enemies. Great success!
Leaving the village for obstructing your progress you seek the guidance of:
A) the wise, old man who’ll teach you philosophy and the ways of the world during training. B) the creepy dude, who can get you power fast, but seems to have not so secret motives of his own as well. C) yourself. Who do I trust? I trust me! D) some of your friends and team mates, the only ones you will ever trust to watch your back.

A) Fight him naturally. Your (team's) survival comes before all else and if you have a chance for a fatal blow, you will target it. B) Fight him naturally. Try to avoid fatal blows, but beating him into submission is the way and if you go a little too far, oh well... C) Fight him, avoiding fatal blows. When he's weakened, you use a capturing jutsu.
Question 4: On a mission you encounter an enemy who may have valuable information for the future of your village. Of course, if you retrieve this information, the village won't know it untill you report it, after the completion of your mission. You
A) Fight him naturally. Your (team's) survival comes before all else and if you have a chance for a fatal blow, you will target it. B) Fight him naturally. Question 6: On a diplomatic mission you have the chance to gain valuable tools for your village. You
A) stick to your mission. Peace is at stake here. B) look for a chance to take the tools with you while not undermining your mission. Ultimately, your mission is to increase your village's standing. C) take the tools. They'll be more valuable to your village than an alliance with this sub-par village. Question 9: You are surrounded by enemies. Luckily you should be able to take them, but you're low on chakra and slightly wounded. You
A) go for AoE jutsu, using the rest of your chakra to take 'em all out. B) play defensively, going for counters to take 'em out one by one. C) jump into the fray, knowing they're limited because of friendly fire and you are not. D) have no need to fight them. You have other ways to escape situations like these.
Question 10: You and your team are surrounded by enemies. None of you have full chakra and the enemies are either slightly weaker than you or on par with you. There is a high chance of one or more of you dieing.
Free choice. You will not use specific jutsu, but describe a general battle strategy as to how you would fight such a battle. You will sometimes have "freedom" during (parts of) battles, so this is kinda important.
OUT OF CHARACTER QUESTIONS
Would you like to see more of these questions pop up (not so) at random during the actual cyoa (though never this many at once anymore)?
Yes/no.
Would you, if enough people want this, be interested in controlling all 3 teammates where the voters are split in groups, only able to vote for their group’s character and having to work together with the other groups during team battles?
Yes/no.
Haven’t really thought about names yet, so you can help. Don’t give specific names, just a broad area of names, like Asian, Western, Narutoverse, LotR-verse etc (could be lulzy at times, but I just put this so you’d get the picture. Of course, if I don’t know the verse, tough luck.)
Notes: Don’t forget most often a cigar is just a cigar. Also, don’t always insist on specializing. Trust me. Stay true to yourself and you should do fine. Be hypocrite and you’ll have it tough at times.

C) yourself. Who do I trust? I trust me! D) some of your friends and team mates, the only ones you will ever trust to watch your back.

Next, to test your ninja skills:

D. With escape jutsus and sensor abilities, we can manuver around easily. We're looking after No. 1, anyway.
Question 7: In a battle, you notice your opponent's using the seals for a fire based technique. You know he also has lightning. You have access to ground and water. You
A) use a ground element defensive technique. B) use a water element defensive technique. C) use a water element offensive technique. Question 9: You are surrounded by enemies. Luckily you should be able to take them, but you're low on chakra and slightly wounded. You
A) go for AoE jutsu, using the rest of your chakra to take 'em all out. B) play defensively, going for counters to take 'em out one by one. I’ve given you this already. But… Copy & paste.

Free choice. You will not use specific jutsu, but describe a general battle strategy as to how you would fight such a battle. You will generally only have "freedom" during battles, so this is kinda important.
Stay on the offensive, but be smart and stay in control. Work with your team on coordinating techniques together for maximum damage on as many enemies as possible or the strongest of the group first. If absolutely necessary, use a defensive jutsu. Try to control the rhythm of battle. If the battle seems out of your control, get yourself and your teammates out of there quickly and efficiently.
As you can probably tell, I would like an offensive specialist.

Yes.
Would you, if enough people want this, be interested in controlling all 3 teammates where the voters are split in groups, only able to vote for their group’s character and having to work together with the other groups during team battles?
No. One character is fine.

Raiden – means “god of thunder”, Tetsip – means “iron man”, Yuudai – means “great hero” (kind of cliché), Hale – means “ingenious,” Warden – means “guardian,” Xavier – means “new house,” Brewster – means “one who brews beer,” Kaiser – means “leader,” Vilmos – means “steady,” Varick – means “honorable defender,” Wolfgang – means “path of a wolf”

OUT OF CHARACTER QUESTIONS
Would you like to see more of these questions pop up (not so) at random during the actual cyoa (though never this many at once anymore)?
Not really. It's rather daunting to have to answer a bunch of questions like this at once. And if you need some sort of consensus out of it, you'll be at it forever.
Would you, if enough people want this, be interested in controlling all 3 teammates where the voters are split in groups, only able to vote for their group’s character and having to work together with the other groups during team battles?
It'd be easier to just have everyone control every character, but I wouldn't be opposed to this system. It's always nice to try something new.
I'll leave this to others to decide.
Just a note: you have two 4's listed in the battle section.
On an unrelated note:
Partially true. Most stars will go through a red giant (or supergiant) phase towards the end of their lifetime, but being red in color does not indicate that it is an old star. The color of a star only indicates what the star's surface temperature is (red being the coldest and white [blue? I always forget...] being the hottest).

So I'm back, thanks for the board Yushi. I see some nice answers, some I had expected, some I haven't. Should make for an interesting story/genre.
Voting closed (just in case). Should be posting the prologue within 24h. If I don't it's either because of work (doubtful) or getting worse (have a slight cold).
Edit: If you mean, just saying which choices won, you could just add them the same way I did. If you meant along with the effect(s) said choice had on the genre and plot of the story and on the mc's character and (starting) skills, I might, in a new topic (thinking database/databooks style), but not anytime soon. (Not anytime soon as in, you'll probably have guessed all these by the time I'd even consider spelling it out for you guys.)

Prologue
Sweat. Sore legs. Sore feet. Thirst. Walking, oh the walking... You’re up, high in the sky, looking over a sea of people. “All those people, coming here for the same reason we did!” You think to yourself. You’d been walking for some time when you first experienced it, your consciousness drifting from present to past. Now it was a common occurrence which you speculated was brought forth by a combination of pain and boredom. You could only hope it was a temporary thing.
“The parade is starting! It’s starting!” You yell down to the man below you. “Alright kiddo, just don’t shout when you’re on my shoulders, your mouth isn’t that far from my ears, you know.” “Just making sure Mom heard,” you laugh. Your mother had been standing beside your father, both in their late twenties, an odd couple in some ways, but oddly matching each other. All three of you had come all the way from your little village near the border to the capital of the nearing country. As you had never been in another country before, you had been excited about the trip weeks in advance… You don’t remember how long you’d been walking. You don’t know when the barren wasteland filled with ruins around you were replaced by a desert of sands as far as the eye can see. You don’t even have a clue how long you’ve been walking towards a few trees, hoping to find some shelter from the blazing sun and maybe some water to drink.
“What a fun day. I could do things like these forever, just the three of us,” you think. The parade had been SUUUPER in your opinion. The countries army had had a parade for everyone to enjoy, from fighting each other suuper fast to doing real magic tricks, you even swear you saw one make a dragon out of water! Water! You can see the trees clearly now, a hint of green grass and a pond, for you to quench your thirst. It shouldn’t be that far now, right? Right?
“Right!” you say, fully intimidated by your father’s uncharacteristic seriousness. And off you went, running as fast as you could, for no reason other than your father told you to. It had been three years since the parade. You were no longer the wee little six year old that had been lifting on your father’s shoulders all day, oh how naïve you’d been back then, adoring those “magic tricks”. Now, they look more like monsters to you, monsters used as weapons. The neighbouring village’s army, the very same you had watched before, had crossed the border and gone wild in your country. Your parents had said to cross the country, away from the fighting, and to cross the border again, this time to the south… As you finally reach the oasis, you feel the need for rest and water more intense than ever before. Hurriedly you walk towards the pond and, resisting the urge to just jump in, you- You blink.
There is no pond. There is no oasis. There’s no sand anywhere and you seem to be standing near the entrance to a cave. You nearly fall down as your brain finally deciphers the most important bit of information. You’re surrounded by four kids, two of which are holding a knife to your throat. “Please state your purpose here,” the oldest one asks you. He appears to be about 11 years old, if height is any indication. Behind him the youngest of the kids seems to want to get his attention. Your attention, however, is fully devoted to the knifes at your throat and the 8-year-old boys holding them. Hoping not to cause suspicion, you clear your mind of anything unrelated to that question. As calm as you can muster it given the situation you reply: “My purpose here? Well,
A) I just wanted to get away from the fighting. B) just trying to make my way to the border, ‘s all. C) I could’ve sworn there was an oasis here. Not to mention sand everywhere else! D) I’m a runaway, looking for a place to spend the night.
Note for the whole cyoa: You only get free will when I say you do. Disregard this and you've wasted a vote.

“My purpose here? Well, I just wanted to get away from the fighting.” You say staring the older kid in the eye, seemingly ignoring the other boys. “Good to know,” the one on your right mumbles as the oldest kid, the one who asked you the question, turns around and makes his way over to the entrance of the cave, along with the kid that had been behind him. Getting a better look you guess the kid’s around 6 years of age and most likely female, though his/her short hair and young age leave you somewhat doubting yourself. They hold a brief conversation out of earshot, then return, the older boy looking grim, the youngest flashing you a grin that confirms your initial idea, she’s indeed a girl. You briefly wonder how and why she got caught up in her current company, before the boy, once more taking up his role as an interrogator, inquires: “Great motivation and all, man, but how exactly are you going to accomplish that? What’s the plan, man?” “Plan?” You repeat. “****!” You hadn’t thought of anything, other than to follow your father’s instructions. Still, you’d better think fast, the boys seemed to be getting impatient and you yourself weren’t too fond of staying in the same place for so long either. “Heh,
A) just trying to make my way to the southern border, ‘s all. B) no real plans now, but I was looking for water and shelter. C) It’s kinda hard to think about your future plans with two knives at your throat, you know.
Note: Think of the prologue (and most of the first chapter) as a tutorial. Bad choices/ends won't kill you, though you may not get info you otherwise would've. And yes, information will be rather mportant, as you don't know anything about fighting at the moment. I'll also state so when the "safe" part ends.
I'm making some progress with the battle system and I'll only need a bit more backstory out of the way before we can start with learning to fight and then training/battles (spars at first), so look forward to it xp

That is our parent's plan. Those kids may know something, like the best way to get down there, or know if it's a horrible idea.

EDIT: Voting C.
Vegeta made a good point to Yushi on the shoutbox as to why C may be a more prudent choice.
