Realizing that the group gathering behind you could pose a danger to you later, you decide to investigate it before things get worse. As you make your way further into the realm, you notice that there are people hanging upside down, pinned to the various cliffsides by different weapons. They're in intense agony and crying out for help.
You stop your pace in midstep and analyze the setup of the valley. This would make a fine spot for an ambush, if anyone felt so inclined. The cries of the tortured make it impossible to hide your presence however. Especially since they continue to call out to you directly, begging for succor.
"Please, stranger!" one of the tortured cry out. "How you can see us in this position and not help us?! What kind of person are you?! How could you do that?"
You crack your neck, and look up at him, and then at the other men and women joining him in his fate.
"What did you do to belong here?" you ask in slight hesitation. "You didn't just end up here by random coincidence. Why are you all here? You were close, so close to nirvana. You surpassed 3 realms, you were almost there. What could be so important that you would endanger that? Condemning yourselves to this fate?"
"Don't pass judgment on us, Tensei," a woman says, her intestines hanging out of her body, yet also nailed to the cliff. "We know who you are. I remember you from the first visit here, and I don't have the stomach for anymore of your self righteous shit!"
"Stomach for it? That's pretty good," you say with a chuckle. "So, I didn't let you out the first time?"
"And obviously your karma kicked you in the ass," the male tortured informs. "You could have shortened our suffering... Yet here we remain, all because you chose for us to wallow here, lifelessly. Who the fuck are you to judge us? What makes you so fucking special? You're more important than us?!"
You consider helping them before getting interrupted by the group you went to meet. They walk confidently towards you, there are 8 of them, although you don't really know how to classify them. They are definitely humanoid, and they appear to be of the same species... They all stand at least 7 feet in height, and possess a vicious demeanor. Their fighting spirit itself is enough to make you cautious. A massive, bat-like wing begins just below their fist and connects to their torso. They all have skinny, warped tails. Their faces however, are very different.
But they all resemble a type of animal. Some are vulture looking, there's a ram, and one of them has a bear for a head. The bear looking one steps forward. He has a giant axe on his back, which he pulls out swiftly with no effort.
"Tensei... you have made quite the name for yourself since last you walked these halls".
"I'm sorry, but it's been a lifetime," you remark sarcastically. "I'm sure I'm supposed to remember you, but I can't say I do".
"Ah, the one who walks the realms," one of the vultures say as it creeps up behind the bear. "They call you HellWalker, your story has grown to be a legend... They say you even managed to enslave a powerful deva on the material plane... One of the strongest... Is that true?"
The bear looks at the vulture with disdain.
"It doesn't matter what this hairless ape has done," the bear points out. "What matters most is that our master get's what he wants! If he gets what he wants, then we get what WE want!"
"Who is your master?"
"It doesn't matter," the bear replies quickly. "You really have forgotten everything haven't you... Interesting... Brothers, to arms, remember what you know from the previous battle! And don't forget what master said about his new abilities!"
"It's awful unfair, there are 8 of you," you say wryly. "It's just me here. Besides, you guys have home court advantage. Do you all fear me so that you would fight in such a dishonorable position of advantage?"
They all laugh hysterically at your implication. The vulture is the first to recover from the episode and speak.
"We are demons, mortal," he says. "Do you honestly expect us to fight with honor?! Or do you insult us by presuming us devils?"
You furrow your brow as you think of the possibilities he could be referring to... ============= A: Ambush the bear with FGG, he appears to be their leader B: Ask what's the different between devils and demons C: Continue to engage in small talk and see where it leads D: Use Golem Manipulation to enclose them with the nearby cliffs in hopes of limiting their flight E: False Ash Cloud the lot of them F: Pretend to remember them and their master, and then insult the hell out of them G: Free Will

''And don't forget what master said about his new abilities!" This makes me think their master is Madara. Which leaves in doubt choice F, unless Rikudo meet Madara before this lifetime. We can't remember a guy who didn't exist in a past lifetime and who the demons only meet in this lifetime.

A: Ambush the bear with FGG, he appears to be their leader
If there master is Madara, then they know about this already.
B: Ask what's the different between devils and demons
I like this choice the best only because all the other choices look bad.
C: Continue to engage in small talk and see where it leads
I think this is a choice that leads in a bad situation or at best the same amount of troble we're in now.
D: Use Golem Manipulation to enclose them with the nearby cliffs in hopes of limiting their flight
If their master is Madara, then they may know about this already from our failed attempt at uring it to mimic hidden mist against Yagura.
E: False Ash Cloud the lot of them
If their master is Madara, then they know about this already.
F: Pretend to remember them and their master, and then insult the hell out of them
I explained why this might be a bad choice, they only have to figure out 21 is lying, which shouldn't be too difficult.
You see a pattern in all these attack choices, they're all attacks that Madara has seen which makes me think they're all wrong.

Ok, now that I have some time to think about this...
This means something and shouldn't be left over. We should figure out what he's talking about.
From the research that he's done, I think he's talking about Leo (or to a lesser extent, Ridduko or Sasuke's Susaano). If they're talking about Leo, that begs the question: How would they know?
The other important thing is that they don't seem very loyal to their master. They just seem to WANT something in exchange for us. So the question is... what do they want?
Finally, they don't seem to all be... in tune with each other. We may be able to take advantage of this in some way.
I say if you want to vote B, you may as well talk about something that's "safer". This question just makes us seem more ignorant and it's really not an important enough question to get answered. Go to wikipedia. I vote:
Voting to ask what it is that their master will claim to give them. If it's possible, drive a stake in their ranks using their desire (likely to leave) and lack of unity.
Finally, if things come to the worst, threaten to utilize Leo against them.

Huey, gave you a karma boost for that.
It was a brilliant analysis of something I HOPED would be picked upon. You get an exp reward. That being said, it's important enough of a clue that you picked up on, that I'm going to give you a reward similar to Yushi.
Huey, you get a free reward choice, come up with something and let me know.
That means guys, you have at LEAST two rewards coming up, and that's assuming you screw up royally and don't get any arc, karma, or exp rewards.
In other words, you guys have a HUGE opportunity to power up next round.

The exp reward by the way is him picking up on that specific part of the story...
Not the vote, so please, don't take it as a sponsorship of Huey's vote.
That part of the story though, is really important.

"What do you think your master will give to you?" you ask confidently as you watch them begin to surround you. Your question gives them pause. "Why would it be that your master, one who is SO powerful to govern you all, would not dirty his hands with such an undertaking? He doesn't wish to risk his life. THAT, is the only answer. So he sends you all. A lot of expendables that he won't miss if they fail. And should you succeed... There won't be many of you left to reward. It's a win-win scenario for your master. If you all kill me, he won't suffer my wrath. If you fail, you have delayed me, possibly even hurt me, yet you all die, and he has the need to reward no one. He has manipulated you all into an unbeatable scenario. He can't possibly lose, regardless of the outcome".
The bear headed demon places his monstrous hand up, and his group stops cold in their tracks.
"Your words speak truth, Tensei," he says. "We have lived a very long time, and will continue to do so... regardless of your success here. No one escapes Hell, not truly. Especially us and our kind. If you kill us, we will merely come back, sooner or later... However... death is an... inconvenience. A painful one. I'd rather avoid it if possible. But we hold none of the cards here. And neither do you".
"The fact that you've taken your time to consider my words show true wisdom," you state as you loosen up yet remain ready for a surprise attack. "However, I do not believe in impossible scenarios. If the rules of the game your master is playing has made it impossible for us, then merely change the game being played. Once that happens, the rules will change as well".
"Myrok, you don't possibly mean to betray the master?" the first vulture headed demon says as he begins to cower. "You know what he'll do... We'll be stuck forever... I'd rather die by this filthy human's hand a hundred times".
"Don't you understand Vlidik?" the bear demon says with a hint of frustration in his tone. "As long as he runs the show, it will always be like this. Do you believe that once the Tensei is gone, the 'master' will be gone as well? He'll just gladly hand us back our realm? Everything going back to the status quo? No... No, that won't happen. He would have no reason to".
"But Myrok, he watches and sees all," Vlidik argues with increasing anxiety. "He watches this as we speak. He knows of your treachery!"
"If we help the mortal and leave now, we can escape beyond the master's gaze," Myrok suggests. "I've been considering it. And now that I see the Tensei face to face, I believe it to be the right course. The master is right to fear this man, he has grown even more intense. No wonder the deva follows him".
"I might be able to help you Myrok," you say reluctantly. "If we clash, only bloodshed will ensue. While you and your people may rejoice in that, many of them will die. The Karmic Wheel will keep your souls in limbo for a while before you can return here to your home. Help me, and you're helping yourselves... Your master... who is he?"
The demons begin to look at one another with increased desperation. This suggested mutiny is dangerous, for all their sakes. In the end, the awkward and dangerous seconds that pass by seem an eternity. But they all turn to Myrok to his final decision.
"I am Myrok, first demon to his true lordship, Hermes," Myrok declares. "We are and have always been, vying for power over this realm with the devils. Don't insult us by pretending you knew this information. We are going far out of our way in this already. Do not further the antagonistic nature of this arrangement".
"Of course," you say with a slight bow of your head. "Explain to me the situation, and I will do what best I can".
"That is acceptable," Myrok says. "I see your measure, and have taken note mortal. The demons will not interfere in your endeavor. You won't sway the devils however".
"And why is that?"
"Because the devils do not break their oaths," Myrok says with what you could only describe as his way of smiling. "Demons... we break oaths... We break them all the time. But a devil never will. Foolhardy to the end. And they swore fealty to our new master, and Hermes has yet to do anything about it... May his name be blessed and revered".
"Please explain to me this caste system you refer to," you ask. "Who is your master? Hermes? Who is this new master? Do the devils have a different leader? How are they taking this?"
"I'm sure you have guessed by now mortal," Myrok says with a huff. "The mortal known as Madara has dominion here now. He can manipulate souls freely here, the wind spreads whispers that he has been going even to the realm of the deva to control their souls as well. If that is the case, I wouldn't know yet. I would say that if he could control Hell this easily, the thought is not outlandish. Hell's true leader has always been Hermes, yet he does not like to rule directly... So he speaks with the representatives from both sides, the devils and us, every half millennia or so. But never forcing one side of the other".
"So, you're constantly engaged in a battle of beliefs?" you deduce as you crack your neck. "You both hear what Hermes says, over the course of many, many years. And the battles you and the devils have are over the interpretation of what Hermes wants?"
"For a mortal, you sure do have a mind on you," Myrok praises. "But it's more than that... We have pride, and our differences are not just spiritual ones. We have different cultures, different views on honor. We are much more different than you could ever hope to understand".
You think carefully at all this new information. The demons are evil, surely. The devils are clearly evil as well, since they are all confined to this realm without hope of escape. However, Myrok told you plainly that his kind do not own up to promises... It's not safe to trust them. But what do you do?
"You need to remove Madara from power anyway," Myrok states, breaking your concentration. "I just want to fight one enemy, the devils. I want to go back to killing devils and torturing humans. The good old times".
"You make me sick," you reply. "You flat out told me I can't trust you. Why would you say such a thing, and then offer such information? You hint at a partnership?"
"I said you can't trust me because you can't," Myrok says with a toothy grin. "Telling you is part of the fun. I might betray you, I might not. But regardless, you will squirm. If I am open and honest about it... hehe... all the better. Besides, you need my information if you wish to defeat Madara here. By now you know how all the realms work, they all have rules. There's no exception here, not unless you can control souls as well. If you go around smiting evil like the hero you fancy yourself to be, you might just end up here... On my torture rack".
Myrok smiles at you once more. The sick fuck is getting off on this you think. Still he makes a point, there's a lot to consider here... =========== BIG Turning Point A: Make an alliance with Myrok and his Legion of Demons. Find out all the information you can B: You've heard enough to go on. Simply walk away, without giving an answer. C: Outright deny any chance of an alliance and walk away. D: Lie about forming an alliance with Myrok. Hope he believes you E: Eradicate the beasts F: Free Will

Things are obviously not the same here as it was last time Rikkudo Sennin passed. Madara can manipulate events to put us at a disadvantage. Is there any way to get around Madara? And, isn't it curious we have B and C, similar but apparently different answers?
Also:
A beacon of light will shine brightest here, and you can bet that they wish for you to fail.

B
Three reasons why: 1. They just openly committed treason against Madara. We don't owe them anything at this point. 2. They're interested in seeing us fail. 3. Some things are out of our control no matter what, including this realm's rules and Madara's power.
