Clown, have we learned nothing from Mav's cyoa? Training for 1 year is always too long.
I vote C

"I'll be gone for 6 monthes." you reply. Six monthes seems a good amount of time to train and get information.
"Well you better be here before or exactly 6 monthes from now." the Chief Ruler tells you, "Now then, without further ado, open the Portal." You hear a creaking noise. You look down and see that in the center of the city, a huge gap is opening. It keeps widening until it gets about 5 feet wide. You know what you have to do from here on out. You go stand up on the podium, and get prepared to do your Dive. But what kind of Dive do you plan on doing?
A: Jump as far up as possible and cannonball down.
B: Back up and do several cartwheels into the Portal.
C: Jump in the air, do a frontflip and a rotate to the left.
D: Free Will.

Can we use Wind Style: Wind Control Jutsu in the reverse direction to slow us down instead of speed us up?

D Torpedo in (hoping this leads to a random location)

To iceisnice, yes you can. To impatience, why would you want to go to a random city? It might even amke you land on the ground and break your legs.

I ment, a random location from the ones you specified. I'm assuming those choices are pretty much directions we'll specify even further during our Dive. Am I wrong?
(if I'm wrong, C)

The only thing these choices do are lower or improve your grade for the Dive.

Freewill: Cannonball down and use Wind Style: Wind Control Jutsu to slow your falling speed down and land in Otogakure

I'll let that be the option. But some people might want to change the village they land in or style they jump.

Also, a question: does the grade we got on our dive have importance?

If your grade is an A, the Chief Ruler will teach you a special technique passed down from generations, because you have been deemed worthy to use it. And I think that B won, so I am going to update with B.

You know what kind of jump you are going to do now. You back up a couple of steps. You then do several cartwheels, the world spinning around you. You cartwheel onto the podium and know that this is it. You do a final cartwheel while pushing off of the ground. You're in the air for a couple of seconds. And then you fall. Or a term more correct, you Dive.
You feel the air rushing past you as you Dive down the Portal. You move your body so that your head is facing to the ground. You can now see endless sky and clouds. It's a beautiful sight. You can even see some birds flying in the distance. You keep gaining more momuentum, and the air is know blowing against you heavily. You don't even care about the people watching you. The adrenaline and excitement make this an experience you'll never forget. But then you rememeber that you have to hover in mid-air, so that the Chief Ruler knows that you can hover successfully. You do want to get a good grade.
"Wind Style: Wind Control Jutsu!" you shout while turning your body so that your feet are facing the ground. Immediately, you can feel the wind becoming stronger and stronger, and finally you are floating in the air. Know, you have to do the crucial part. Using your jutsu, you must change the direction of the air to follow your feet, so that you are getting pushed in the direction of the way you are facing. It makes it look like you are flying. But before you do anything, you should decide where you want to go. You already know the direction you need to head to for each village, but you don't know which village to go to.
A: Kumogakure
B: Konohagakure
C: Kirigakure
D: Amegakure
E: Sunagakure
F: Otogakure

High risk, high reward. This should guarantee an A grade on the dive.......if we survive. I think the info will be precious to the village and to yourself, plus surviving in dangerous territory will make us stronger in the long run.

You decide to go to Amegakure. You just feel like that is a good place to go to, like it's the right thing to do. You pour more chakra into the technique, and focus on your feet. Immediately, you feel like you are moving, slowly, in the direction your head is facing. You tilt your body, and test your movement. So far you can move 40 miles per hour max. It took a couple of seconds to get used to the flying. You decide to go 30 miles per hour, heading to where you know Amegakure is.
It's been half an hour since you started the Dive, and you can feel the chakra loss affecting you. Your speed is already down to 15 miles per hour. But the good part is you can finally see Amegakure. It's weird though, it's apparently raining while the outside of the city isn't.
"Must be a jutsu," you say out loud. You know that no one can here you talk so no one can make fun of you. You can see the slope that you are supposed to land in. You start heading toward it, but on the way you see a strange figure. He is wearing a black cloak with red clouds on it. He also has a huge sword. And he's looking straight at you. You just try to ignore him as you make your way to the slope. You look down and to your dismay he is following you. And he has his sword in his hand. Hopefully you can explain your story to him once you land.
You finally make it to the slope, and the stranger is at the foot of the slope. You decide that he's not going to straight out attack you, so you change the jutsu to start repelling in the direction you are going. Your feet touch the ground, momuentum making you run down the slope. But with the jutsu, you only have to run for a couple of seconds until you stop completely. You look up to see that the stranger is no longer at the foot of the hill, but right in front of you.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" the stranger demands. You can now see that he has blue skin and shark-like features.
"I came from the Village Hidden in the Sky." You reply as you point to your forehead protector, "I am here to gather current information so I can report back to my village news of the world below them."
"What if you are actually a spy for another village." He implies, strengthening his grip on the sword. You gulp.
"Why would I spy on you? It's not like there's a war going on right now." You stutter.
"Hmm, well it looks like you are pretty defenseless and have barely any chakra with you." The stranger says, "It would be so easy to kill you right now."
"What! Why would..." You gasp as he starts bringing his sword upwards preparing for a strike. You try to run, but he keeps following you. With your low chakra, you are defenseless. "I'm not going to be a bother, I won't do anything bad." You say, trying to make him stop from swinging his sword.
"Too late." The stranger says, as he brings down his sword. You reach for a kunai, and try to deflect it. Bad move. Now your arm is burning in pain and you think your arm is broken. You drop the kunai, and start running away. You don't want to die!!!
"It's been fun toying with you, but it's time to end this." The stranger says as he rushes to you as he swings down the sword. You know you can't dodge it. There's no hope left.
You black out.

You wake up, slowly. You find that you are in a room, and surrounding you is that stranger and some other person wearing a cloak similar to the stranger. He has black hair, but otherwise he is perfectly normal.
"It's crazy that he could.... Oh you're awake." the sharkman says.
"It could be useful and dangerous if we recruit him." the black-haired man says.
"Who says anything about recruiting him," the sharkman smirks.
"Hey, ummm, don't I get a say in this." You say quietly, "And why am I still alive?"
"Well, do you want to be dead?" the sharkman replies, "And you are only alive because of a special power you exhibited."
"We should at least know what we are going to do with him." the black-haired man says.
"He could be our personal punching bag, or an ally that even Pain doesn't know about." the sharkman says.
"Well, can I have some answers before you guys do anything." you butt in.
"Hmm, like you deserve any answers." the sharkman tells you, "But.......fine. My name, for one, is Kisame. His name is Itachi. That's all you need to know about us. And the reason why you are alive is because you fought me with a power that impressed me. You didn't beat me, you just impressed me. The power you showed me is...."
A: You can travel to the moon instantly and still breathe in space.
B: You can increase the percentage of brain power you use.
C: You can use space/time jutsus easily.
D: You are just naturaly strong and skilled.
