Overt, because he specifically asked me if I wanted her to be an ally. I didnt have to reach to assume that she might become one

Ok then. Still feels a little bit unrealistic even by fictional story standards.

Ok then. Still feels a little bit unrealistic even by fictional story standards. I sort of agree with you. But these are the times of the shinobi. People take risks. I'm not saying she should have expected this, but she should have known that her family dying in front of her was a possibility. Of course, the genjutsu was really rough... But that was also somewhat justified. We wanted to get information from her. Defending ourselves because we were fighting for our lives was right. But, in my opinion, our interrogation methods were extremely harsh. Harsh enough to be wrong, even if part of it did not take place in reality. Despite this, she will become an ally, but she doesn't have to forgive us for what we did. We can only prove that in time, our character has a caring heart and is just as human and vulnerable as she is, and thus, she'll come to respect our character. Though like I said earlier, may not forgive him.

You embolden your face and stare down the gate. Your leading foot stomps into the ground and you shunshin right through the opening in the gates. You don't catch the expression of the guards but you can hear a series of bells sound off. They really were too strict about security, couldn't even recognize one of their own jounin. But of course, you have someone suspicious in your back, especially when you should be returning from a mission.
You gasp for air but you can feel air being cut right out of your mouth. You continue anyway, the hospital is hardly a long distance at this point. You run through the streets, now much slower, still at a sprinting pace. You experience tunnel vision as you see the hospital come into view, yet you can still see some bystanders staring at you as you pass by.
The hospital doors! And staff! You run up to the staff - clad in medical garb with filter masks. You try to shout to them but your breath is still missing. They turn to you, noticing how ragged you are. You almost make it...but you trip, right in front of them, falling to the hard, cold entrance of the hospital. Fuck. You raise your neck and with whatever air you have in your lungs breathe out, "Save her"
Well, they seem to hear your request, calling for help, you blink, they have her on a gurney immediately. You drop your face to the ground in exhaustion, but then turn you over gently and gather around you, one of them is waving his arms, calling for something. "This guy! Holy crap, this is Iz-" You black out.
A bright light shines into your eyes. You’re awake again and you can see the medical personnel operating on you. They’re discussing something, “We need to operate and remove the splinters before you can heal him, stay on standby and be ready to move in immediately!” You can’t really see much, the light is blinding, so you shut your eyes again. Your thoughts wander, to the one who died. Hazoru, the chuunin who came with you. Where was he? Ahh…that’s right, he died. Because he tried to peak into the scroll. The scroll! The mission, need to complete it. Your thoughts shot away for a moment to the scroll, but eventually returned to your former-subordinate. Fuck…he shouldn’t have died. Of course, who would expect a crappy scroll for a C-rank mission would have a lethal seal. Fucking tsuchikage, it was definitely one of his techniques. His spike brown hair turned to dust, his body into dirt.
You feel a sudden anger, spite towards the world, to this world of mercenaries. You felt this way once before…when you were much younger…during the last war. The one that robbed you of your family, the one that stole away most of your friends – to the grave or to the battlefield, the one that burned down your village, the one that decimated the population. This feeling, had disappeared when you graduated from the ninja academy to become a soldier yourself, but it seemed it was making its bittersweet return, especially with the looming threat. There was some news about Akatsuki. They were becoming a problem? …and now this supposed Country of Embers. Didn’t…akatsuki help us out before….ah yea. Dei- he’s with them The girl…in a way she is a victim of this world as well. She and her sister, victims of the you made for war. What about the rest of her team. Most of them were probably the same. But that old man…he looked familiar, though you couldn’t connect any dots earlier. She should be in medical care right now…but what about after. They would definitely realize she’s in a uniform of some sort.
A) Lie to everyone and tell them that she’s someone close to you, and that you’ll take care of her B) Let the Iwa security take care of her. C) Tell the truth and try to get a pardon from the Tsuchikage or higher up if necessary.

1. Are we a respected member of our village? One that Tsuchikage would give two shits about a request from?
2. What all did we strip her of? I know she isnt wearing the flak vest anymore. Headband?
Because if the tsuchikage thinks we're a ballin dude, he would definitely grant us a request. If not, and they cant identify her as another village's ninja, then we should lie.

The next thing you knew, they were injecting you with something.
You awake, this time feeling much better, although sore. Sunlight pierces your eyes, a pleasant sight in all honesty. You rub your eyes and try to sit up, but then again the pillow was really soft. You decide to keep lying until fully aware. You look around to see a hospital environment. A desk covered in weird instruments, a few syringes. Curtains dividing the beds between patients. You decide to finally sit up.
How long has it been…hmm. !!! The girl! What if she got found out. Her clothing weren’t particularly betraying but they did appear suspicious, very much like a military uniform minus the flak jacket or vest. You pull off the covers and try to get off the bed but your body is feeling numb. Like there isn’t much feeling, they must have drugged you, to kill the pain. Right…you’re in the orderly garbs, much a white robe, wrapped at the waist. You can still feel the cold floor under your feet as you lay them down and stand. You start walking away from the bed, scoping the door first, noting the nurses and assistants second. “Hey! Where are my clothes? I need to go now!”
Someone walks in through the door: tall, square face, squinty black eyes and a deep brown hair with streaks of grey on the sideburns. Eiji, the medical head. “Eiji! I need to leave right now.”
He walks up to you, putting his hand on your shoulder. “Izen, you should stay and rest. I don’t see what the rush is.” He tries to turn you back to the bed, slowly tugging your arm. “You should know, your lung collapse, and you sustained some serious internal damage. We healed it b-“
You shrug off his hand and try to walk ahead of him, only peering at him through the corner of your eyes. “Sorry, but I need to go. Now!” He sighs, curling his lips as if to smile, but it’s not. “It’s that girl right? Don’t worry, she’s under our care.” You turn to face him. “Really? Did the ts-“ “He saw her. He wants to know why you brought an enemy to our village. I wouldn’t worry though.”
That’s right…Eiji has known the old coot since their younger days. Though one aged more gracefully than the other.
“In fact, the Tsuchikage is here right now!” Your eyes shoot open in surprise. The old midget walks into the room with a sly grin on his face. No doubt his minions in tow.
“Izen, I can see that with your skills, a C-rank mission is nothing but a time waster!” He chortles. His sarcasm was stupidly overbearing. As if the old bastard really thought it was worthy of a C-Rank, he was probably already told that Hozoru was dead and that the seal on the scroll was broken, yet here he was, making jokes. You scowl, and surprisingly he follows suit. “I want to know why you brought this…apparent enemy to our village. That’s not like you.”
“Tch” No choice but to tell the truth at this point. It doesn’t really seem like a bad idea either, considering he already knew about her. You tell him what happened, adding on, “She’s not a ninja. She may look like it, but she’s not. I already got the information out of her. So spare her…”
The old tsuchikage shrugs his right shoulder, muttering something about it aching under his breath. “Please. “
He raises a brow in suspicion. “Ohoho. The famous ‘Dead Raiser’, saying please?” He was enjoying it obviously, your casual subservience, something you rarely displayed. “Hmm I’ll t-“ You drop to your knees causing him to cut off in surprise. “I beg of you! Lord Tsuchikage!”
“Feh…fine” You had drawn out a personal request; he puts on his scowl again and looks away. “But she’ll be monitored.”
A) Let him do it, she’ll be kept at a “hotel” designed for ambassadors, emissaries or special “guests” and the like. But secretly it’s like a light prison, where they are essentially under house arrest and constantly monitored.
B) Invoke a further request to have her stay with you at your apartment.

You realize what he meant by “monitored”. The Limestone Cavern Hotel. It was built partially underground and is normally closed off from the surface. It’s designed to hold people of certain importance, acting as a light-security prison where everyone is under house arrest until their leave. Of course it’s for their own safety. No…too dangerous.
“Lord Tsuchikage, please! Allow me to take care of her.” Still on the ground, you didn’t stare up to him, keeping your eyes on the floor, a bit hard when the man is so short.
“You really think I can allow that? This is too much Izen.”
“I don’t want to cause any concern for the ‘hotel’, I think it’s best if I just kept an eye on her.”
“Why are you really doing this? I know you…”, he starts to whisper, “You’re not the kind to fall in love.”
You know he’s right. It isn’t love. It’s something different, like an obsession, but not to the girl.
“Fine!” He shouts. He turns to walk away, “But don’t cause any trouble.” He stomps away, complaining about his hip aching. You finally raise yourself up and dust your white robe at the knees.
Eiji finally breaks his respectful silence, “Hmm. I guess it’s love? Hoho. I’ll let you see her in a bit so just lay down eh?” He walks away with a presumptuous grin, you suppose he’ll return in a bit.
You notice someone waiting on you, you try to ignore her and walk to the bed but she follows. She looks mad to say the least. You notice Akatsuchi by the door as well, he looks like he won’t fit through the doors though. “Hey Izen! Get well!” His voice is full of childish sincerity, a nice guy. You smile and wave ignoring Kurotsuchi glaring you down.
You get into the bed and lay your head on the pillow, feels good (man). It seems Kurotsuchi was waiting for this. She pulls you up by the collar of the robe. “Just what the hell are you doing! Bringing the enemy home!” She seems to be overreacting just a bit, she always does when she’s secretly excited about something.
“Kurotsuchi come on! We need to go!”
“I’ll be right there! I’ll meet you at the office!”
“Alright.”
You look away from her, averting your eyes even further, how annoying. “What’s with that look! You really screwed up!” She looks back at the door to see Akatsuchi leaving, she then pulls you closer and whispers, “So…when’d you turn into a lover boy?” She grins. “I didn’t know you were so romantic, ahh.”
She lets go and you straighten yourself in the bed, still sitting up. “It’s nothing like that.” You roll your eyes.
She scoffs, still keeping her voice down. “Really? Saving the enemy? A beautiful girl on the other side of the battlefield, so you whisk her away. “She stifles a laugh.
“I knew you always had some secret. I heard her hair was red too!” She almost shouts that time. “That’s kinda rare here you know.”
You sigh and tilt your head. “I told you, it’s not like that. Come on, you should go. I need my rest.”
She crosses her arms and drops the smile. “Pft, fine. By the way. I never would have spared the enemy.”
She turns and walks away. Always a bit condescending and arrogant…not to mention her loyalty to Iwa. You think the last comment is a bit unnecessary, in both ways. You lay back on the bed, when Kurotsuchi calls out, “Hey you want to get something with the others later?”
Despite her personality…the other ninja seem to really like her. On the job, strict and serious, but otherwise? Fun. “Maybe.”
---
You wake from a light nap by the call of an assistant. He is clad is the hospital’s medical hazard suit and a gas mask…well, it was more like a helmet. “Your clothes sir, they’ve been processed.” The medical guys here in Iwagakure…real weirdos. Their hazard suit, when dealing with poisons and the like, were scary, much more than a flak vest anyways. You change into your typical jounin uniform: a black jacket with a long tail, tucked into baggy navy blue pants, both banded by a thick belt. You slip into your boots. Your head band next, just around your head, nothing fancy. The genin loved to get “creative” with the positions. Ahh. A fresh flak vest. Great. You slip on the green item.
“I’ll take you to the detainee sir.”
Detainee? How formal. You follow him to the red haired girl, on the floor above. He directs you into the room and leaves. “Hey.”
She only stares at you, she looks tired, or maybe depressed, sitting in the white bed of hers.
“Let’s go.”
She doesn’t respond, and instead her stare slowly turns into a piercing glare, and her docile expression twisting into anger. You’re not surprised to say the least. You know it was to be expected, you convinced the Tsuchikage…but the girl? That would be the hard part.
A. Force her
B. Try to coax her (feel free to put in input or suggestions)
C. Get the hospital to kick her out
D. Decide to just let the hospital take care of her, though it won’t last forever.
