I realized we wasted at least a month by getting C rank jutsus before, when we could have had B ranked ones We don't need extra speed if we just get speed demon (10 mins is an eternity in battle), and slow down. Hand seals lowers the cost and speeds up the usage of all our jutsus, so they're more efficient, and better yet it stacks well with speed demon making our jutsu usage even faster. Speed Demon (1 month) Slow Down (1 month) Hand seals (5 months) Ninjutsu (5 months)

You have sound logic ice, I just went a different route. IMO since our kekkai genkai is speed, it'd only be right if we were fast even without jutsu, naturally, and then got insanely fast with them.
And are hand seals chakra control in this story? Cause otherwise I fail to see how they help our jutsu

I don't know about genjutsu defense but dragon did say hand seals lowers the cost of using jutsu as well as make jutsu usage faster.

Thanks dragon. Do we have official stats yet? Voting (might change after seeing stats): 5 months for Speed 7 months for Kekkai Genkai Blitz. This I guess. *shrug*

2 months for a S rank tech 1 month for a B rank tech 2 months for speed demon and to upgrade speed demon 2 months for slow down and to upgrade Slow down

2 months for a S rank tech 1 month for a B rank tech 2 months for speed demon and to upgrade speed demon 2 months for slow down and to upgrade Slow down You're math is a bit wrong. An S Rank tech takes 4 months. Speed Demon and Slow Down are B Rank jutsus, so it would take a month to learn them, and then to upgrade them to A Rank would take 2 months, so 3 months in total.

I'm deciding to be nice and post the chart of training here. I changed it a bit so only pay attention to this chart and not the one on page 2. And just a reminder, one month would do barely anything to help your understanding and training in a subject. I would suggest around 4-7 months for each area, maybe more, maybe less. That would give you a clear understanding in it, and 1-2 techniques in it.
Once you have trained in an area for 5 months, that makes you an adept in it. If you are an Adept in it, then the only thing you get from training in that area is techniques. The list will only apply to you if your are an Adept in an area.
E Rank techniques take 1/4 of a month to master.
D Rank techniques take 1/2 a month. Cumulative is 3/4 month.
C Rank techniques take 3/4 a month. Cumulative is 1 and 1/2 month.
B Rank techniques take a month. Cumulative is 2 and 1/2 months.
A Rank techniques take 2 months. Cumulative is 4 and 1/2 months.
S Rank techniques take 4 months. Cumulative is 8 and 1/2 months.
Those don't matter for the area of Basics and Strength, Speed, Stamina, Intelligence, and Hand Seals. For those, training in them once you're an Adept ups your level of them. And I'm changing the month requirements. If upgrading a jutsu is cumulative, then creating one should also be cumulative. Sorry that I'm making things harder for you guys, but I'm making them more realistic. And those bold cumulatives are only for learning a new jutsu.

So it would take 2.5 months to learn both Speed demon and Slow down and then 4.5 months to upgrade them both to A rank?

|
|
Post by dragonfantasy on Apr 13, 2012 21:20:32 GMT
No. It would take 2.5 months for Speed Demon and another 2.5 months for Slow Down, but since upgrading is cumulative and your right in front of Rank A, it would only take 2 months for each jutsu to upgrade it.

Alright then: spend 5 months on Speed demon and Slow down then the last 2 months should be spent on upgrading Speed demon.

upgrade controlled speed to rank S
A: Controlled Speed: A technique in which you can manipulate the speed of almost anything you see. The speeds can range from a speeding bullet to a sluggishly slow snail. The only objects that you can't manipulate their speed are humans, gravity, air, and ninjutsu's that aren't fire type. But that can be fixed upon further training. You can use it on yourself though.
Let's see where making this being rank S takes us, right now it's rank C, meaning it would take exactly 7 months to upgrade it to rank S. Here's hoping we can control the speed of anything we see. Combine that with our newfound natural speed and we'd be nearly invincible, if we can use controlled speed on humans.

The problem with that though is that you want a 11 year old to do a S-Rank jutsu. His Hand Seals(Chakra Control) is at 2 and his Stamina is at 2.5. That S-Rank jutsu is going to take up a good portion of his Chakra supply. I would say that it would take around 275 Chakra to do, meaning he could do it two times in one fight and have 50 chakra left over.

change to shadow's
I see, I thought in this case he was just perfecting a jutsu (since C rank and S rank seems to be essentially the same jutsu but it works on more things), that didn't necessarily have to cost more in chakra. Also, just because you got the S-ranked version, doesn't mean you can't use the C rank version and everything in between.
This is probably a good idea later when we up the hand seals and stamina a bit.

Also when he fought Sasuke he did like 2-3 Amaterasu's, a huge fireball jutsu, a Tsukyomi, and Susanoo, before he died from sickness with 2/5 stamina. We have more than him technically so a S-rank jutsu should be no problem for us, just saying. I know he has a 5/5 in hand seals, but 1 S rank shouldn't be a problem. Just saying

Just saying Itachi never fought Orochimaru when Itachi was 11. As to your Sasuke argument, Itachi has mastered Ninjutsu and Handseals. He has a 2.5 in stamina. His chakra cost is greatly lowered, and he has a larger chakra supply than us.

Pretty sure it was stated that Orochimaru left Akatsuki 6 years before the start of the series, it was stated that he left because he tried to take over Itachi's body, lost the fight, got his arm cut off and fled, at the start of the series, Itachi is 17, 17-6 is 11, thus Itachi beat Orochimaru at 11 years old.

Even if that was true, they never said that Itachi did all of those techs against Orochimaru. And when Itachi joined Akatsuki, he looked like this:http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Orochimaru Go to the background section of Orochimaru's page and scroll down until you see the pic. Itachi definitely doesn't look like he's 11.

timeline states he was 11 regardless of how he looked, and I didn't say he did those techniques on Oro, he one shotted him.
He did those techniques against, Kakashi, Kurenai, Asuma, Sasuke and Jiraiya's toad but when he had 2/5 stamina, and again against Sasuke when he had 2/5 stamina, proving that with 2/5 stamina 1 S rank jutsu wouldn't totally drain someone.

But he didn't do all of those techniques in a a row. He did do some S-Rank techs against Kakashi/Kurenai/Asuma/Guy, then he retreated, healed, and went against Sasuke. This fits with my view of stamina and chakra cost, since Itachi's chakra cost for jutsus are greatly lowered due to mastering Ninjutsu and Hand Seals. Since we aren't at his level, we can only do around 2 S-Rank jutsus whereas he can do more.

w/e it's your cyoa your rules, just trying to point out Naruto logic. and btw there's no proof Itachi healed afterwards and even w/o the Jiraiya fight, he used at least 2 or 3 A ranks and an S rank w/o seeming to be tired.

"I'll train in speed for five months and then further my training in my Kekkai Genkai for seven months." you tell Obito. He nods in agreement to your decision.
"Okay, let's get started immediately." Obito states.
For the next five months you trained in speed. This involved you wearing weights that increased in weight every time you got used to them. You ran as far as you could every day, rested, and then tested your agility as Obito sent multiple weapon attacks at you. You have to say training with Obito was nicer than Kabuto's rough regime. He didn't criticize you when you made a mistake, yet he still managed to train you a lot. You feel a lot faster at the end of the five months.
The next seven months were trained on your Kekkai Genkai. You decided to learn two new jutsus which both took 2 and 1/2 months to learn. You learned a jutsu called Speed Demon. Speed Demon increases your blood and chakra flow, causing an increase in every stat. It lasts 10 minutes and results in a heavy strain on your body once the ten minutes are over. You also learned Slow Down. Slow Down utilizes your speed ability to the max. It increases your brain activity and decreases the speed of mostly everything around you. Other human's brains won't be able to use the time because their brains are slowed down too.
With the last two months, you felt like you should enhance one of your existing jutsus. You decided to upgrade Speed Demon to A Rank. The new jutsu can now last 15 minutes. You can stop the jutsu before the time limit, but you'll still feel strain depending on how long you did the jutsu. Your cells also react faster. If you get damaged, your immune system works double time and heals your body faster. Finally, since your chakra network is moving faster than normal, simple genjutsus won't work on you. Only B Rank Genjutsus and above will affect you in this state.
During the whole year, you managed to create a blast of Ki, similar to Vegeta's Gallick Gun, but not as powerful. It's a dark blue blast traveling 30 miles per hour. The blast is bigger than a human's head, and can inflict burns when infused with your chakra. You can also manipulate where it goes. It explodes when it hits something,
Obito was really helpful in this. He seemed to know exactly how you should confront learning a new jutsu. Without his help, you wouldn't have acheived such a powerful, upgraded jutsu. When your training wass over, you finally got to meet Sera. She has grown taller, but still seems to weigh about the same. She still wears a dress that only royalty would wear. You find it strange that she actually wants to wear that. Maybe she's just getting expensive clothes to reduce Orochimaru's money supply. She's also cut her hair shorter so that it only reaches her shoulders now. Her robe is now centered around a fire theme with gold outlines.
"It's been a long time, Akiko." Sera smiles while she gives you a quick hug.
"Yeah, were you even in the same building as me?" you ask.
"I think so. I couldn't leave my room at all so I don't know much about my whereabouts." she replies, "I hope you've gotten a lot stronger, because I know that I have."
You're about to respond when Obito appears and says, "Ready for your first mission?"
"We're going to leave this building?" you ask, surprised that they trust you that much.
"Yeah. Two experiments like you escaped a year ago. You might have hear some noises when you were in your hospital room. They managed to steal a few soldier pills from one of our Sound Ninjas. They combined their jutsus into destroying a segment of a wall and ran away during the night. They used the soldier pills as fuel supplies to run nonstop for two days. We lost their track for a whole year. Fortunately, we've had news that they were spotted near a gypsy camp. We've confirmed that their is only one gypsy that knows jutsus, and I can easily take him down. You two will knock out the escaped experiments and we'll bring them back here. We're having such a small team because we don't want to cause any commotion that would bring in Konoha officials. And this is a good time for you two to get some fighting experience in." Obito explains.
Wow. This sure didn't fit with your moral values. Bringing back two experiments that escaped back to this place, where they will surely recieve punishment. You just think about how much better the world's going to be once you blindside Kabuto and Orochimaru. You're just going to have to deal with this.
"When are we going?" Sera asks.
"We should go right now." Obito responds. He then performs some handseals and a section of the wall slides away. He then looks at the two of you with his black suit still on and says, "If you two try to do anything funny, I'll put you in a genjutsu that will make you wish that I just killed you." An ominous feeling emnated from him while he was saying that. Both you and Sera shuddered at this sudden side of him. He then runs off, with you and Sera close at his heels.

The journey was an okay one. It took three days to get to the gypsy camp. In those three days, you traveled 7 hours a day. You, Sera, and Obito had a food break in the morning, afternoon, and night. It wasn't so bad, except the image of an enraged Obito was etched into your mind permanently. You never knew he could get so angry. You're going to have to watch out for Obito when the time comes for you to revolt. You also found out that the black suit he wears absorbs a lot of his chakra. He says it is helpful to train continously and that it hides away the cave-in scars, but you wonder if it helps keep his power under control.
After the journey, Obito stopped you a good distance away from the camp. The camp was just four tents scattered around to live in, two caravans to help travel, and a campfire to perform around The only thing protecting them is a couple of four foot walls scattered around the camp. It looked pretty easy to invade, but something seemed wrong. You couldn't see any activity going on over there. No movement in the tents, no people walking around. Nothing.
"There's a barrier around the camp." Sera says, answering your thoughts somehow. You see she has her eyes special again. They probably let her see Chakra.
"Good. The barrier is what's preventing us from seeing the gypsies movements. It doesn't seem unbreakable, but I would rather do this stealthily. We are close to the Land of Fire and all." Obito responds. He's right. Your group had to walk around the border just to get here instead of heading in a straight line, making the journey even longer. A couple of screams and the border patrol would surely come.
"So how do you break the barrier stealthily?" you ask.
"There's probably a way for members to go in and out of the barrier without actually disabling it. They would also do that when they do a show. We could wait for a show to happen, but that might be too long of a wait. Instead, let's try to find the way in. Wait here." Obito explains. He disappears, and within seconds is back.
"There's a riddle on the other side of the barrier." Obito says. He takes off his black suit while saying, "I don't want to be too conspicous." He just tears the suit open and tosses it away. Obito is different from what you imagined him to be. He looks to be around 22. He has black, short hair and no facial hair. Obito has a patch stitched over his left eye, and the other eye has three black tomeos on it with a red background. He is wearing a standard Konoha green flak jacket with a red undershirt and black pants. You can't really notice any scars, except that the right side of his body is a bit darker than his left. "Follow me." he says while running around the barrier. You and Sera quickly follow him, and you see him slow down so you can catch up. He then stops and drops to the ground. You and Sera follow suit.
"There it is." He points at some scribbled words on one of the four foot walls. It goes:
"Why is my quiz so vicious? All I saw was a box. My box had a lock. I could chop my box's lock off. Josh said I should ask God if God could fix my box."
Then there was a strip of paper under the riddle with a pen attached to it.
"Well, this isn't that hard. You just have to find what's missing. I want to see if either of you can solve this." Obito says with a cocky smile. The riddle doesn't make that much sense to you. It is really worded funny with basically no pronouns. The story doesn't make sense to you at all. You don't even know what to look for, just that something is missing. What could it be?
(Try to answer this. Sera has a 50% chance of solving this, using Random.org. If you solve it, Obito will like you more and likewise if Sera does too. If you don't, Obito will be disappointed with you and Sera if Sera doesn't get it. Focus on the "What is missing" part and the piece of paper on the bottom. The story isn't important.)

A couple random musings:
First thought on what's missing - a key.
Second, what is God supposed to fix about the box? It was only said that he could chop off the lock, not that he did.
And a question - the paper and pen are part of the riddle, not the method to answer the riddle?

You write your answer on the paper with the pen. It's a special paper, so that when you write down the right answer part of the barrier will dissolve. And also, don't focus on the story of the quiz. It's just a red herring.
