You open your eyes to the start of a new day. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining.....and your mother wont shut up. "Get up Daikon! You're going to miss your graduation exam!" That's right, today is the big day! The day where all academy students are tested to determine if they're ready to take on the dangerous life of a shinobi. Traditionally, the test has been a simple jutsu demonstration; where if you showed proficiency in a certain technique, you were automatically promoted. Rumor has it, however, that this year's test will be a bit different...to counteract the decreasing quality of this generation's ninjas. "DAIKON! GET. UP!" Your mother interjects With the last syllable she pulls the covers violently off your body. You look at her and see, A) Your mother garbed in a simple ninja vest....typical clothing's for a typical ninja B) Your mother garbed in peasant clothing. Typical clothing for a family of bakers. C) Your mother garbed in an elegant robe.....typical clothing for a low-class member of your clan D) Your mother garbed in fine, expensive clothes....typical clothing for a family of wealthly merchants
You look at your mom. She's dressed in a faded green ninja vest with black slacks. The numerous ticks and scratches on her uniform indicates the amount of years of experience she has under her belt....and the dented forehead protector shows how many close-calls she's had over the years. Despite all of this, she has always been, and probably always will be, a typical chuunin of Iwagakure. "I'm not going to ask you again, GET UP!" ____________ Thirty minutes later, you find yourself walking down the dirt road towards the Academy. You observe the numerous cold, stone buildings around you. Many of them have been damaged in the numerous missing-nin raids that have occurred the past few years; and the fact that the many cracks and chips still exist is a testament to your village's declining economy and strength. As you get closer, and closer to the middle of the village, you being to see the full-effect of your village's decline. The number of beggers around the bazaar is innumerable. Hungry children and mother's beg futilely for any sort of coin. The sight of this only makes you walk faster; this isn't something you want to see. _________ You make it to the academy about ten minutes later. The building is magnificent to look at, a clear contrast from the shacks and hovels that surround it. Despite your village's weakened state, the Tsuchikage has always made sure this building was properly maintained and funded... a representation of how important the new generation and military is to the village. You take a deep breath, and then enter the building _______________ You enter the classroom reserved for your test, "A-13." Inside, you see a lone desk in front of a long, elegant table. There are three serious looking chuunins sitting at the table with numerous papers in front of them; these must be your proctors. You don't recognize any of the ninjas, but each of them are proudly wearing the village's forehead protector, and you notice there is a spare one lying on the middle of the table. "Sit Daikon." The one in the middle orders You calmly follow the man's direction. No sooner than when you sit, they immediately start fumbling with the innumerable amount of papers in front of them. After a few moments of rustling, the one in the middle finally holds up a lone piece of paper. "Hmm, Daikon....i see that you.." A) Were first in your class in every subject B) Were absolutely normal...nothing special about you C) Were in the bottom of your class....
"Hmm, Daikon....i see that you were first in your class. Impressive...most impressive." You silently grin at his praise. Your class was filled with "geniuses" who came from one of your village's many clans. The fact that you, a nobody from a family of nobodies, was able to outdo all of them is an impressive feat indeed. Especially considering SHE was in the same class as you. Your thoughts are suddenly cut short, however, "Unfortunately, that is still not enough to pass." "Wait....what?!" You are completely astounded....have all those hours of studying and training been for naught? This time, the ninja on the left speaks. "Iwagakure has been having a problem with.....incompetent ninjas these past few years. Traditionally, the top 10% of any class were the only ones promoted, but this practice has led to unforeseeable...consequences." "What do you mean?" This time, the ninja on the right is the one that speaks. "Our new ninjas have simply not been on the same level as our neighboring villages. Kumogakure, for example, has had over fifteen ninjas pass the Chuunin Exam in the past five years. We haven't even had one." You stare at the proctors in shock. Sure, the decline of your village isn't exactly recent news, but...you didn't think it was THIS bad. "The Tsuchikage believes this "10% rule" is overemphasizing "book-smarts" rather than real Ninja Skills. Whether or not this is the REAL problem is controversial, but a military village like us can't keep promoting these...disappointments." "So...are you saying that I failed?" "No. We simply need a practical examination....a way to test if you truly are the best of your class and worthy of joining our ranks." "How do I do that?" All three of the ninjas instantly stand up. The one in the middle begins to speak, "Each of us are special ninjas in a specific branch of ninja techniques. I, for example, specialize in Ninjutsu." "I, on the other hand, specialize in Genjutsu." The one on the right says. "Finally, I specialize in Taijutsu." The one in the left concludes. "In order to prove you are ready to be a genin, you must take, and pass one of our test. You may choose which one to take, but you cannot switch once the testing begins. I suggest you choose whichever you feel most comfortable with." The one in the middle explains bluntly. You think for a second, but then smile. This will be a chance to showoff your specialty! Without giving a second thought, you instant choose to take the: A) Taijutsu test B) Genjutsu test C) Ninjutsu test
"I'll take the Ninjutsu test!" You yell out. The one in the middle merely nods. The other two also nod, but they leave the room shortly after. Soon it is only you and the lone proctor. "Alright Daikon, are you ready?" You eagerly nod. There wasn't a single test on Ninjutsu that you didn't get a perfect score on back at the academy. How difficult can this be? "Very well." The man begins a sleight of complex hand seals before finally ending with the tiger. Your vision instantly turns black ________________ After several minutes you find yourself outside in one of your village's many training grounds. The terrain is bare with no sight of vegetation...only hard rock. Your test proctor is nowhere in sight. "W-where are you?!" You shout "Counter this." You hear a rushing sound behind you....something's burning. You turn your head and see a large fireball rushing towards you. At first, you think about simply dodging the blast, but you then look around and notice that there's actually four fireballs in total, each coming from a separate direction. There's no way you can dodge! Quickly, you A) Perform your defensive Suiton technique. B) Perform your defensive Doton technique. C) Perform your defensive Fuuton technique. D) Perform your Offensive Raiton technique. E) Perform your own offensive Katon technique.
Quickly, you begin the seals for the Suiton your mother taught you. Tiger, Snake, Tiger.....easy enough right? You quickly mold the chakra and begin releasing it. "Suiton: Sujinheki!" Instantly, a large wall of water appears around you. Almost on que, the four fireballs hit each side of the wall....to no great effect. The fireballs instantly disappear into mounds of sizzling steam, and a few seconds later the water drops to the floor. You feel your legs wobble as soon as the technique ends. This technique still takes a lot of chakra out of you, especially without a source of water. "To perform a B-rank suiton without a body of water.... impressive indeed." The test proctor appears forty feet in front of you in a cloud of smoke. He stands at you with his hands in his pockets and a clipboard in his hand. "That little jutsu you just showed me was more than enough for you to pass my test....is there anything else you want to demonstrate? You look at him, anger clearly on your face. Those fireballs could've killed you! You still have enough Chakra to perform THAT technique....your ace in the hole. You quickly form a sleigh of seals and a.... A) Huge water dragon erupts towards him B) Huge amount of earth slides towards him C) Thin, incredibly fast spear of lightning shoots towards him D) Large fireball dashes towards him.
This will probably take the rest of your chakra.....but you're way too pissed off to care right now. Admittedly, you've only used this technique once, and NEVER on a live target, but there's a first thing for everything right? "Doton: Fumbling Tectonics!" You slam both your hands on the ground. You pour your chakra deep into the ground, causing the land to violently slide and subside around the proctor. He immediately loses his balance and falls towards the angle of depression, causing tons and tons of Earth fall on him. When the technique is finally finished, a "slump" has been formed with the proctor buried somewhere deep underneath it. "Perhaps I over did it..." You say gasping. The technique has brought you to your limit. "On the contrary, I thought that was very well done." You look around frantically for the source of that voice, but your vision turns black once again. _________________ You reappear in exactly the same position before the test started. Once again, you and the proctor are the only ones in the room. "You did very well Daikon....much better than your peers." the proctor says with a small smile on his face. "W-wait, did the test really happen?!" "Of course it did. I simply used a genjutsu to ensure neither of us would be physically harmed. You'd be amazed at the number of people who actually tried to dodge those fireballs." "Hah....I can only imagine." You remark laughing....no need to tell him that dodging was your first idea. "Your skill in ninjutsu is prodigous indeed. That suiton alone was more than enough for you to pass with flying colors, but that doton you used....where did you learn such a terrifying technique?" THAT you will never reveal. "Oh....around." The proctor only nods at your answer, he seems to realize you won't reveal the true source. "Either way, you've passed with flying colors. Please report to B-4 tommorow to learn what Jonin you will be assigned to." You give a huge smile at his words; you can't way to tell your mom! You begin running towards the door, "WAIT!" You quickly look back and catch the object he threw at you. Upon closer inspection, you realize that it is a Iwagakure forehead protector! "Welcome to our ranks kid." The man says with a smile You quickly put on your protector and rush out the door. ________________ Exactly 24 hours later, you find yourself sitting in an auditorium with your classmates. The test must have been harder than you thought...of the 50 students in your class, only about twelve of them passed. Is your generation THAT weak?! The assignment's were expected to be pretty short, probably because only four teams could actually be made. You're not too picky with who your matched with....as long as it's not with HER. "......Daikon, Kairi, and Takamura." ****. Immediately you feel a blow to the back of your head, you don't really need to guess who it's from. "Hurry the **** up Daikon, we have to meet our Jonin!" You give her an evil look before getting up and following your new team.
You find yourself sitting in a desk far away from the rest of your team. The paper said your Jonin was supposed to meet you here immediately after the assignment was revealed, but it's been over an hour since then. "WHERE THE **** IS HE?!" Kairi yells You look at her lazily. She hasn't changed much since the first days at the academy. She still has long, red hair and pale skin. Her body is typical of an eleven year old kunoichi, and she's wearing typical clothes. Her face shows a niceness clearly absent from her personality.....she might've been cute if she wasn't such a ****. You switch your glance to your other teammate. Takamura looks like the typical "book-smart" ninja, with a lanky body and thick glasses. He has short, brown hair and a weird scar across the bridge of his nose. To his credit, he seems to be able to tune Kairi out too....a useful skill for the future. Well, it seems you have some time to kill....what are you going to do? A) Try to start a conversation with Kairi B) Try to start a conversation with Takamura C) Sleep D) Join Kairi and ****
Deciding that you want to stay as far away from Kairi as possible, you decide to try and strike up a conversation with Takamura. You two don't share a rich history with each other, he always seemed....apathetic towards everything. If you remember correctly, he was actually in the bottom of our class. The fact that he is here, however, is a clear testament to his skills, atleast compared to his peers. "Hey...Takamura was it?" Takamura instantly recoils at your words. You probably interrupted on of his many day-dreaming sessions....weird kid. He pushes his glases up his nose before responding. "Hello." He says bluntly. "So...err...it seems were all partners now." "Yes, Daikon was it?" "Yep. So...which test did you take?" "The genjutsu one naturally." Oh...thats right. You remember him being quite skillful during one of your many practice sessions concerning them. That, and the fact his appearance basically yells, "Genjutsu Type!" "Cool. I was thinking about taking that one, but it seemed kind of hard." "Not really. They just put you in a genjutsu and you had to break out of it. Too easy." ....talking to him is really awkward "Oh, well I took the ninjutsu test." "I heard, my father spoke highly of your performance." "Wai-" "SORRY I'M LATE" ________ You both instantly turn your gaze towards the cloud of smoke in the middle of the room. Once the smoke clears, you see a middle-aged man wearing a dirty, stained vest and ripped slacks.....does he even care what he looks like? "Hi! My name is Shin Tetsuma and I will be your: sensei, protector, and friend for the coming years!" You take a closer look at him. He has an almost feminine face that directly contrasts to his muscular build. His face is branded with numerous scars, some that look to have cut quite deep. Despite all of this, his face is contorted in pure joy....it's almost sickening. "It's about ****ing time you got here!" Shin shifts his gaze towards Kairi. The smile vanishes and his face reverts to an impassive glare. You could've sworn he was going to kill her right there and then. Abruptly, however, his face returns to an almost goofy smile. "A pretty lady such as yourself shouldn't resort to such filthy words. How will you ever hope to attract a man with such a disgusting vocabulary?" Kairi's face instantly turns scarlet red. She seems to be in too much shock to give one of her famous rebuttals. For once, she's actually rendered speechless. This guy is good. "Anyways! We were supposed to go through a team-building exercise today, but it seems i'm a bit behind schedule......SO I will give a brief rundown of this team and what's expected of you." He brings his hands up and with a *poof* a clipboard instantly appears in his hand. "This team will be predominantly an _________" A) Assassination team B) Reconnaissance team C) Abduction/Retrieval team D) Sabotage team
“This is going to be predominantly a sabotage team. The first in this village’s history in fact.” “Wait...why are we suddenly creating one now?” You ask Shin scratches the back of his head before answering. “Because of our country’s climate and weather, our shinobis tend to be more inclined towards large-scale Doton’s and powerful Katon techniques. As a result, our military is one of the strongest in the world; unfortunately, this also makes our ability in subterfuge a bit....lacking.” “Why the sudden change then? If we’ve been having such success with our traditional teams, why make a sabotage team NOW?” Kairi asks “Well, for a while everything was working. But you’ve heard of The Kannabi Bridge incident right? Back during the Third Great Shinobi War?” All three of you nod in unison. Every shinobi of Iwagakure knows about that disaster. It was when the future Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, led his team on a mission to destroy the Kannabi Bridge. They succeeded and managed to almost single-handedly destroy Iwagakure’s supply chain in that area. “That bridge could’ve won us the war had it not been destroyed. The Tsuchikage believes that too, and ever since then he has been dreaming about making a team specialized in sabotaging enemy structures. And now, after countless years of disappointments and failures...three genins may finally make that dream a reality.” All three of you look at each other uneasily. The pressure is almost palpable, especially considering that the team was made barely an hour ago! Shin quickly snaps you guys out of this thought with a loud clap. “Haha, don’t worry! I know this a lot of pressure considering its your first day and all. We wont have any REAL sabotage missions for a long, long time. Right now, i’m more concerned with building our team-work and synergy skills. Afterall, well all be a family before you guys even know it!” “Uhh...so what will we do first?” You ask “Well....I was thinking we could do a practice session where each of you guys can demonstrate your skills and techniques. We still have time.” “That sounds like fun!” All three of you shout in unison. “That settles it then! Meet me in training ground four in about two hours; I still have to report to the Tsuchikage about this team. Oh, and make sure you take this session seriously, I will use it to determine who will be the team leader. See ya!” Shin immediately disappears behind a cloud of white smoke. You begin to walk out the room, but Kairi steps in front of you. “Hey! We should go over each other’s strengths and weaknesses, to make us understand each other better you know?” You were going to go home and try to learn a quick technique from your mother....to better impress Shin during session. Still, this might prove helpful too....considering you don’t know how either of your teammates fight. A) “Sorry, I have plans” B) “....fine.”
"....fine." "Great! Now sit down." You guys pull three desks together and then sit down. For a while, nobody says anything until Takamura finally breaks the ice. "I mainly use genjutsu techniques, althought i'm quite proficient in taijutsu as well. I'm pretty bad at ninjutsu though...but i'm assuming that why Daikon is here." A taijutsu type? HIM? This you gotta see. Kairi begins to speak next. "As you know, i'm a member of the Kamizuru clan." You and Takamura nod your head. The Kamizuru clan used to be the most famous and powerful clan in your whole village. This all changed, however, when they led an invasion of Konohagakure many years ago. They were defeated by Konoha's own bug clan; the Aburame. Ever since then, both the power and prestige of the Kamizuru has long died out....there's rumors that Kairi and her parents may be the only members left. "Right now, I can use some of my clans basic Bee techniques; I still, however, can't summon the Giant Bee. Besides that.....I guess i'm okay with ninjutsu." Takamura and Kairi then turns their gaze towards you. "Uhh....i'm really good at Ninjutsu. I can use both Suiton and Doton attacks pretty well. Besides that, I guess I can say i'm okay at basic genjutsu." They both nod their heads. After sharing a plethora of awkward silences, you three get up and leave for training ground four. _________________ All three of you make it to the training ground on time. You look around the area, it's exactly the same as where you took your ninjutsu test. The land is bare with no sights of vegetation, and numerous boulders engrave the area. Shin is standing on one of the boulders. "Alright guys, let me explain the basic rules." You notice that he is now MUCH more presentable. His tattered vest and slacks have been replaced with a much cleaner one.....is he even worrying about them getting dirty? "First, the goal of this is for someone, ANYONE to land one clean blow on me. Doesn't matter how, doesn't matter with what, just hit me. This session will continue until someone does.....until then nobody eats or goes home." At that moment your stomach makes a loud, painful growl. You remember that you hadn't eaten breakfast today.. "Second, no fighting each other. Each of you have techniques that could outright kill an ordinary genin. So aim for me, and watch the collateral damage okay?" "Finally......i'll be fighting back." All three of you widen your eyes in surprise at that last statement. How the hell are you suppose to be able to fight a Jonin?! "The session starts......now." Shin immediately begins a flurry of complex hand seals......much faster than you've even seen your mother do. He finally ends with the tiger. "Earth Release: Earth Flow River" Immediately you feel the ground beneath you flatten, and all of a sudden liquify. You instantly lose balance and start flowing down this river of mud. Even though you are spinning around violently, you can see that your teammates couldn't dodge the technique either... The river is flowing too violently for you to simply focus your chakra on your feet and stand. Instead, you place your hand on the mud, and quickly pour your chakra into it.....coagulating the mud around you. Now with a sem-solid foundation, you easily manage to stand up. "Oooh, pretty good Daikon! Your friends aren't that good sadly." You look further down the mud river. Takamura managed to somehow get away from the current. He probably got lucky and washed up on shore. Kairi, on the otherhand, obviously needs help. She's flowing further and further down screaming for help. What do you do? A) Ignore them attack Shin B) Run over and help Takamura C) Run over and help Kairi
You give Shin an evil look before running down the river; Kairi desperately needs your help. As you're running you hear a *whoosh* sound coming from behind you. You look back and see three shurikens barely a meter from you....there's no way you can dodge in time! As you close your eyes and brace yourself for the piercing pain, you hear a loud *THACK* and the sound of metal hitting the floor. You open your eyes and see Takamura with his arms out...he must've repelled the shurikens with his own. "Help her, i'll cover you." You give him a quick nod and continue speeding towards Kairi, by now she's almost out of sight. __________ After almost two minutes of running you finally manage to catch up to her. Even from this far away, the river is still flowing strongly.....this is an incredibly jutsu indeed. Of course, Kairi is still flopping helplessly in the mud. "HE-, -LP, M-ME!" You perform a snake seal and then slam your hands to the ground. The land underneath her abruptly shoots upward, shooting her clear out of the mud and onto the rough ground. "Oww! That ****ing hurt!" She yells rubbing her back You give a small shrug before helping her up. "What the hell is up with that Shin guy?! Using a jutsu of this caliber against us.....I should report this to the Kage!" "He is taking this rather seriously...." you admit "****! Where's Takamura?!" You both give each other a frightened look before running furiously back up the river ___________ By the time you reached your original location, you see that Shin and Takamura have already begun their battle. You see two incredibly sharp blades protruding from Takamura's sleeves. From the looks of it, however, he still hasn't been able to connect even a single blow on Shin....and his panted breathing is evidence that he's been trying. On the other hand, Shin doesn't look tired at all. He's simply holding a kunai in his right hand and looking at Takamura with his trademark goofy smile. "Well, here comes the cavalry." Takamura instantly retreats back and joins up with you two. "This guy's good.... I cant even touch him." "We need to attack him all at once!" Kairi yells. You and Takamura nod at statement. This guy is way beyond each of your levels individually.....but maybe together... "I'll lead!" Kairi immediately points both her hands towards Shin "Thousand Bee Stings Technique!" At that moment, an innumerable amount of Bees emerge from her sleeves. The bees soon cloud your vision....there might ACTUALLY be a thousand bees. The buzzing is absolutely terrifying.....how the hell did you beat HER? You and Takamura stare at her technique in awe. "Wow...the Kamizuru clan really is terrifying." "You bet your *** we are. Now DIE!" At the last word, all the bees charge towards Shin. In seconds, both him and the surrounding landscape are completely shadowed by the bees. There's no way he could escape that... "NOW DAIKON!" She yells "Wait....what?" "Finish him off!" "B-but your bees...." "I have millions of them, just do it!" A) Throw a simple Kunai+Exploding tag at the bees/Shin B) Use your ultimate Doton attack C) Tell Takamura to do it D)....*throw a bunch of shurikens*
You quickly reach into your bag and pull out a Kunai and an explosion tag. You quickly wrap the tag around the handle, charge your chakra into the tag, and then throw it into the cluster of bees. *BOOM* The tag explodes a few seconds after you throw it, enveloping the area in a thick, gray smoke. You hear the sizzing sound of hundreds of dead bees burn. "Did we get him?" Takamura asks "I'm not sure....he shouldn't have been able to get away from my bee." You wait for the smoke to completely dissipate. When it clears there are hundreds and hundreds of dead bees littered around the floor....next to a lump of mud. "****! He used a mud clone?!" "Yep." You all look behind you, towards the sound of the voice. Shin is standing on the exact same boulder he was before the fight started....he looks unhurt. "That was a close one missy. Your bees almost got me back there!" Kairi curses under her breath; Takamura gives a resigning sigh; and you? Well, you're are performing the seals to do your ultimate doton attack....afterall, it's your turn to show what you can do. You finally end with snake before slamming both your hands to the ground. "Earth Release: Fumbling Tectonics!" The land instantly slides and subsides under Shin. The boulder shatters under the violent seismic activity, causing Shin to completely lose his balance. His eyes widen in fear before he sinks further and further down the depression. Soon he is completely covered by the tons of earth....it's exactly the same as last time. "....Wow Daikon." "So...that is the technique my father was bragging about." Before you can revel in their admiration, you instantly fall to your knees.....this technique really takes a lot outta you. "D-do you think I got him?" "Yeah, you did." Shin immediately emerges from underground, directly in front of you. All three of you recoil in shock, but Shin seems even happier than usual....if that's possible. "Haha, you really can't fully dodge that technique can you?" He asks as he rubs his shoulder. You give a small smile and shake your head. "To think that a genin can perform such a jutsu....perhaps there's some hope for our youth after all." "Does that mean we pass sensei?" Kairi asks "With flying colors miss. I'm sure the Tsuchikage will be VERY pleased with my evaluation report. All of you show enormous potential....it's almost hard to decide who will be leader!" All three of you tense at that last statement. Each of you forgot that part... "To be honest, I can argue a case for each one of you. So....I'll just let you guys decide this one!" You can almost see the excitement in Kairi's eyes when he says that. "Tell me your decision tommorow at the usual time and place.....DISMISSED!" Shin then disappears in a puff of smoke Almost immediately Kairi yells "I think I should be leader!" You're almost surprised. You and Takamura exchange a bored look......do you really want to challenge her? A) Vote for yourself B) Vote for Takamura C) Appease Kairi
"I think Takamura should be the leader." Both your teammates stare at you...with differing feelings. "What?! Why should HE do it?! He wasn't even in the top HALF of our class!" "I'm also curious as why you would nominate me Daikon. I half expected YOU would want the position." You scratch your head and give a small smile "Well...for one thing you seem to be the most knowledgeable one in our team. I only know two techniques and each one of them leaves me exhausted." "But that's YOU!" Kairi complains You give her a look before asking, "Honestly, how many of your clan's techniques can you ACTUALLY use?" Her head sinks a little bit before she answers. "Two..." "And how about you Takamura? How many genjutsu techniques can you ACTUALLY use?" ".....about ten." He admits. "Right, so not only are you the only one proficient at genjutsu, you have a much bigger library of techniques than both of us combined! And if that's not enough, you're proficient with a unique taijutsu style too!" They both remain silent for a few seconds. Even Kairi seems to be a little convinced that Takamura would be a better leader. "...Are you sure Daikon? I've never seen myself as much as a leader.....I don't think I know how." You place a hand on his shoulder "Were all new at this kind of stuff Takamura, but it's not like your going to do this all alone. No matter what happens, Kairi and I will still be watching your back. As long as we all try our best, i'm sure well become a great team....the best in our village's history." Takamura remains silent for a moment, but then gives a nod. His eyes show a determination that was absent throughout his history in the academy.....you know you made the right choice. Kairi gives a defeated sigh. "Fine...I guess you can be the leader. It's just a de facto position anyways...." Takamura gives her a small smile. With the difficult decision made, all three of you tiredly walk home.
After walking your friends home, you finally reach your own house. It's a modest house....not too big, not too small. Besides, you don't have any reason to complain....not with all these shacks in your village nowadays. You enter your house wearily; this has been one of the most tiring days of your life. You notice that the drain from your Doton technique is still eating at your stamina....you really need to learn a chakra-efficient technique. As you enter your living room, you see your mother drinking a bottle of sake. There's a roasted pig on your dining room table...your favorite. "Hey son! How was your first day?" Your mother asks smiling You spend the next hour explaining everything over dinner. After a big mission, your mother usually treats all of you with an expensive roast pig. "That was very mature of you." "What?" You ask as you're picking your teeth. "Choosing someone else to be leader. Most people would try to take the position for themselves, despite the fact they might not be the most qualified." "It just seemed to make the most sense." You answer with a shrug Your mom smiles for a minute before continuing. "So...that doton really takes a lot out of you doesn't it? I could've sworn you promising not to use it after you begged me to teach it to you. It's starting to become your trademark technique." "Haha....we were fighting a Jonin though! And you would've killed me if I failed my graduation exam!" "I understand son. Still, I think we need to increase your library of techniques. It won't do you any good if all you know is a large-scale, chakra intensive attack." "Yeah....I was hoping Shin could teach me some soon." "Oh. It's been one day and suddenly you don't need my help anymore?" Your mom asks sarcastically "But you're always busy on a mission or something!" "I'm not busy now! Come on, lets go to the backyard and I can teach you something right now! You always had a knack at learning ninjutsus." You smile and ask A) "Teach me a more efficent offensive Doton" B) "Teach me an efficient offensive Suiton" C) "Teach me a powerful offensive suiton" D) "Teach me the basics (Kawaraimi, Shunshin, Bunshin, etc)" E) Teach me a supplementary Suiton
"Do you think you can teach me a more chakra-efficieint Doton?" Your mom gives a small smile before answering, "Well see." ________________________________ You spend the rest of the evening learning your mother's technique. It feels weird at first, but eventually you manage to perfect this....unorthodox technique. "I know it sounds disgusting Daikon, but you have to pretend that your "vomiting" the chakra out of your stomach." The technique your mother chose to teach you is quite odd. By molding your chakra into your throat you can "shoot" mud out of your mouth. While this technique is quite strange, your mother quickly highlights its benefits. " The technique is called Earth Release: Mudshot. Because the chakra is concentrated so compactly in your throat, the mud actually shoots out at a high velocity; enough to actually cause quite a bit of blunt trauma if the shot is a direct hit. Not only that, the mud quickly coagulates when exposed to air, so it can actually trap your opponent as well. I've used this technique quite a bit of times during my abduction missions." At first, it takes you a while to get used to the "feel" of releasing this technique, but in a few hours you feel comfortable enough to use it in a battle. Your mom seems surprised at the speed you learn this. "Son, you never cease to amaze me." "It wasn't that hard mom." "Maybe not for you....it took me almost a month to learn this technique." "I have a good teacher." Your mom gives a large smile at that comment. "Flattery will get you far son. Now go off to bed....tomorrow's going to be another busy day." __________________________ The next morning started off boring enough. You woke up, ate breakfast, and left for the academy as usual. On your way there though, you caught quite an unusual sight at the village's bazaar. "YOU LITTLE THIEF!" You then hear the sound of a hand connecting with flesh, followed by a shrill scream. You run to get a closer look. You see large, burly man holding a large brown bag with one hand. His face is contorted in absolute rage as he looks down at the thief. It's a little girl. "I'm sorry! I was just so hungry!" "YOU THINK I ****ING CARE, I RUN A SHOP NOT A ****ING CHARITY!" You see the man raise his hand and the little girl bracing herself for the attack. Should you get involved? A) Run up and stop the man. B) Keep going....this is none of your concern
You quickly rush over to the little girl's aid. Thanks to your academy training, you were able to make it just in time to stop the man's hand as it was going down. "Who the **** are you?!" "Thats what I was thinking. Who in their right mind would hit a little girl?!" You snarl "HAH! That **** is nothing but a THIEF! You of all people should know the punishment for theft!" You curse under your breath. Petty theft has become the number one crime these past few years. As a way to combat that, the Tsuchikage passed an edict proclaiming that ANY thief were to be handed over to the military police force. To make it even worse....they looked the other way on acts of vigilantism. "FINE! I'LL buy whatever she stole." You yell as you reach into your pocket and pull out a few bills. "Hah! And why should I sell to you?! You're probably in leagues with HER!" The man jams his finger at the sobbing little girl You lift your forehead protector and give your most threatening glare at the man. You even cast a minor genjutsu to turn your eyes red and exacerbate the stare. "It wouldn't be wise to refuse service to me." You say calmly. The man thinks for a long minute before cursing. He swipes the bills from your hands and throws the brown bag at your feet. "If I EVER see her my store again....." The man snarls before leaving in a hurried pace. The onlookers quickly follow suit, and soon it is only you and the still-crying girl. "Are you okay? What's your name?" You ask in a sympathetic tone. "...Yes. Thank you sir. My name is Alice" She manages to say between her sobs "Here Alice, take this and go back home." You say handing the bag next to her The girl begins crying even harder. "I don't HAVE a home sir! Both my parents died in the raid last year...I've been alone ever since!" You say nothing in spite of this new information....what could you say? You only drop the bag next to her before continuing your way. This is a problem that is way beyond your ability. __________________ As soon as you leave the Bazaar, you feel a slight tap on your right shoulder. You look behind you and see a familiar face....it's Kairi. "I saw what you did back there." A) "No idea what you're talking about." B) "And?" C) "I swear she said she was 18!" D) Just nod.
You simply nod without looking at her. The sadness of the situation is still depressing you "It was nice and all....but you really shouldn't interfere with that kind of stuff." You immediately turn your gaze towards her with disbelief. "Don't give me that look! Do you think that girl is just going to stop needing to eat? That you've made her seen the error of her ways?!" You say nothing "She WILL get hungry again, which means she WILL try to steal food again. This isn't some mission where we can just go in and "fix" everything , this is an economic problem....a problem we have no business trying to fix. You can't try to save every poor peasant you see in this village Daikon, for your own sake." The rest of the trip was done in silence ________________________________ You both enter the room and see that Shin and Takamura are already here. They seem to be discussing yesterdays evaluation because there are tons of paperwork littered in front of them. "-ork on probably genjutsu next.....Daikon! Kairi! You're here!" Shin yells excitedly Takamura acknowledges yalls arrival with a small smile and a motion to come over. "What is this?" You ask as you skim through the papers "It's our evaluation report Daikon. Shin's going over them with us." "Really?!" Kairi yells, obviously excited about what they say. "Yep. Here." He hands Kairi a piece of paper. "And here's yours Daikon." Takamura hands you a piece of paper. You look over them. __________________ Taijutsu: 1 Ninjutsu: 3 Genjutsu: 2 Intelligence: 2 Strength: 1.5 Speed: 2.5 Stamina: 1.5 Hand Seals: 3 Daikon is obviously gifted in ninjutsu. He has shown to be quite skilled in a specific Earth technique far beyond the capabilities of a normal Genin. Not only that, he has shown excellent control over his chakra and hand seals. I believe these two skills are evidence that he has the potential to become an effective genjutsu user as well. Unfortunately, he has many shortcomings as well. He seems easily winded after using even one technique. While the technique DOES seem to require a fair bit of energy, I believe this is mainly due to his somewhat small chakra pool. Not only that, he seems to be rather deficient in taijutsu, atleast compared to his more impressive skills. In summary, Daikon is a very talented shinobi who shows much promise. While he is not flawless, his short-comings can be easily remedied with a combination of hard-work and good tutelage. I HIGHLY recommend him for the Sabotage team. ____________ You look over your report and shrug. You're not that surprised......you never were any good with Taijutsu. You look over at Kairi and see she is staring intently at her report. Maybe you should ask to see it? A) Ask Kairi if you can see her report B) Ask Takamura if you can see his report C) Ask Shin about your OWN report
You decide to ask Shin about your evaluation report. Afterall, that's what he's for right? "Sensei? I was hoping we could go over my evaluation." "Hmm?" Shin takes the paper from your hand and reads it carefully.....has he already forgotten what he wrote? After a few minutes his mouth makes an "oh" shape and he begins speaking. "I meant everything I wrote Daikon, the good AND the bad. I think were going to have to work on teaching you basic taijutsu first. Hopefully the hard training will increase your stamina as well. After that.....i'm not sure whether I should begin teaching you more advance genjutsu skills or just improve your already prodigous ninjutsu skills. Neither choice would be bad really." You feel a bit disappointed at all the things you have to work on. Sure, you never thought of yourself as "perfect," but certainly not this bad either. Shin seems to understand what your feeling. "Don't get discouraged Daikon. Nobody expected you to be perfect right out of the academy, I wouldn't have a job if you were! Here, look how bad MY evaluation was twenty years ago." You take the piece of paper he hands you Shin Tetsuma Taijutsu: 1 Ninjutsu: .5 Genjutsu: 1 Intelligence: 1 Strength: 1 Speed: 1 Stamina: 2 Hand Seals: .5 Shin is an absolutely horrendous shinobi. He cannot grasp even basic level techniques, and his attitude shows he makes no effort to even try. Not only that, he is INCREDIBLY inept at basic hand seals; he cannot even remember the ones needed for his OWN techniques. In conclusion, he is an incredibly incompetent ninja, and I do not believe he has the potential to improve to an acceptable level. I HIGHLY reccomend he be returned to the academy for remedial teaching..... if he should even be a shinobi at all You stare at this report in shock; how could anyone be this bad?! Shin seems to find your disbelief humorous. "Haha...I didn't have my head on right when I was a kid. I like to show this to all my new students though...to show them that if a loser like me could do it, EVERYBODY has the ability to improve. Now, does that make you feel a little better?" Honestly, it kind of does. "Good. Now sit down, we have a lot to go over today." ______________________________ "The Tsuchikage has assigned us a mission." All three of you widen your eyes in shock. For the past few years, Genins haven't been allowed to take missions until their second year....a result of the numerous amount of failures in the past. "Personally, I don't think you guys are quite ready for field experience yet. I was hoping we could work on the problems I highlighted on each of your evaluation reports instead." You notice Kairi's fist tense up at the last statement....did she really do that bad? "Still, i'm not going to be a dictator and make this decision for you. Fulfilling missions has its benefits as well; you get valuable experience you can't get in training, plus.....you guys can generate quite amount of prestige from it. After all, if a bunch of first year's develop a good track record....maybe Iwagakure genins will stop being the laughing stock of the ninja world." You all remain silent. "Anyways, the choice is yours. I will go with the majority on this one....what do you think Daikon?" A) "I think we should do the mission." B) "Training will benefit us more."
"I think training would be better for us really. We've all read our evaluation; I don't think anybody here is going to claim their ready for a real mission....especially if our village's reputation is at stake." Shin gives a small nod and smile. You have a feeling he was thinking the same thing. "How about you Kairi?" "Pfft, I think we should just do the mission. All the training in the world won't matter if we don't know first-hand whats out there. Plus, i'm more than confident in my abilities." What a ****. "Mm hmm. And what about you Takamura?" Takamura takes a few seconds to think about it. You can almost hear the gears shift inside his head. "I agree with Daikon. Training seems like the best option." You give a silent cheer as Kairi gives one of her award winning "ughhs." "It's settled then. Well spend the first three months training and the next month and a half doing missions. Yes...that should make you guys more than prepared to take the exam." "What exam?" You all ask in unison. Shin brings his hands to his mouth and widens his eyes. Apparrently you weren't suppose to hear that. "Uhh....forget about it. Lets go to the training area!" ___________________ You arrive at the area after about five minutes of walking. You, Takamura, and Kairi are discussing what you hope to learn these next three months. Mid-discussion, you hear the sound of Shin whistling. "Hey Daikon can you come with me for a minute?" Shin takes you further down the training area, away from the rest of your teammates. "Okay, heres how it typically works. I'm a rather passive teacher; I won't tell you what you should or shouldn't learn because quite frankly, I think that you know that more than I do. So I give each of my student's a chance to make their own training regiment. You, on the other hand, are the exception." "...why?" "Because....you're the same as me. I know exactly what type of student you are because we share the same talents and weaknesses. For that reason, I will personally supervise your training." "What about Takamura and Kairi?" You ask. You don't want their training to suffer because of you. "Oh, i'll help them too of course! It's just that....I really can't teach them what I can teach you. Takamura simply isn't a ninjutsu type, and Kairi's chakra control is nowhere near your level." You take a moment to bring in what he's saying "Not only that, I simply can't teach them what they need to learn. I'm neither a member of the Kamizuru clan nor proficient in kenjutsu. I've already arranged suitable tutors to take my place....a decision that will benefit everyone I believe." Makes sense. Still, you can't help, but feel Shin's favoritism will annoy your other teammates. The thought of how much more you'd improve with him, however, quickly discounts that thought from your mind. "So where will we start?" You ask eagerly "Hmm. That's a tough one. We could start working on your taijutsu off the bat.....or we could start turning you into a genjutsu user as well. What do you think we should do? Each lesson will probably take about a month." choose 3 A) Work on your stamina (+1) B) Work on your Taijutsu (+1) C) Work on your Genjutsu (+1 and a new technique) D) Learn an offensive Doton technique E) Learn Basic ninjutsu techniques (Kawaraimi, Shunshin, Bunshin, and a +.5 in ninjutsu) F) Learn a supplementary Doton G) Learn a supplermentary Suiton H) Learn an offensive Suiton I) Learn a defensive Doton
You'll always associate these three months with one word: pain. While Shin was a rather easy-going person in most situations, you quickly learned that this didn't apply during training. You're not saying he is a bad teacher, far from it actually, but he was stern and rather impatient. You WERE expected to pick this up quickly, or risk running laps around the village. ___________ The first month was focused around improving your stamina. According to Shin, the only way to do this was by pure hard-exercise. And so, you were forced to run 50 laps around the village every morning. By the time you were finished, it would be noon and time to do 500 squats. Finally, if you were lucky, you'd end the day with a nice swim....upstream the violent Kohaku river. The first few days were absolutely dreadful. You would go home everyday completely exhausted, even your mother wondered if all this was really worth it. As the weeks went by, however, you all of a sudden felt significantly less tired. The exercise was always tiring, of course, but you eventually stopped going home limping. Finally, the month was over. ___________________________ The second month was focused on learning the basics: Kawaraimi, Shunshin, Bunshin, and Henge. Of course, being a ninjutsu prodigy, you learned each of these skills almost immediately. Unfortunately, just "learning them," was not enough. The whole month was spent working with the basics, making sure that you molded the chakra perfectly without any being wasted. Admittedly, you found this rather difficult, because you were now working with a much large Chakra pool, and you never really used low-chakra moves.....so you didn't really care if you didn't mold it perfectly. Of course, Shin considered this unacceptable,; and it took you the full month to correct it. Shin says this precise molding will improve your other techniques as well.....but you didn't believe him. ___________________________ Finally, you spent the last month learning a new defensive Earth technique. At first, you and Shin had a difficult time deciding what technique to learn, but Shin eventually found one he considered "Perfect." The technique was called Earth Release: Stone Armor. The effect is rather self-explanatory; by allowing earth chakra to flow throughout your body, you develop a fine, incredibly hard stone armor. The best part is, it needs an AMAZING amount of force to destroy the armor, and you don't have to continue channeling chakra to upkeep it. And of course, your mobility is not impaired. Unfortunately, the technique does has its downsides. One, the fine texture makes it incredibly reflective to light. For that reason, you probably can't use it when your trying to sneak around. Second, the stone is very, very porous. Because of that, it will absorb water if it becomes in contact with it. Not only will this decrease the armors defense, but it will also eventually constrict your movements as well. Shin says that eventually you can improve the technique so that it doesn't have so many weaknesses, but right now is not the time.
After the third month has ended, Shin tells everybody to report to our training ground. When you get there, you suddenly remember how little contact you had with the rest of your team. Almost all your time was spent training on one thing or another. When you get there, you see that Kairi is alone. "Hey Daikon. How'd training go?" Kairi asks with an uncharacteristically sweet smile. You give a small shrug. "Well, MY training was absolutely incredible. My mom taught me some of my clans advanced techniques, i'm probably stronger than you and Takamura now." You raise a single eyebrow at this statement. Pretentious little ***** isn't she? "What?! You dont believe me?! Lets have a spar right now!" She yells as she brings her face directly in front of you. ..... A) "Bring it on." B) "Eh, i'm not in the mood."
"Bring it on!" You yell with confidence Kairi gives a confident smile before walking towards the middle of the training ground. You quickly follow her ________________________ You two are now standing about 10 meters apart. You look around you, boulders are littered throughout the area....this might prove useful. "The rules are simple. We fight until the other person loses consciousness or gives up." She says bluntly "Anything else?" "Yeah. Don't hold back." With that she instantly jumps further back, creating more distance between you two. She then points both her hands towards you.....it's not hard to guess what she's about to do. "Bee Honey Technique!" Thousands of bees begin rushing out of her sleeves. Your vision soon becomes clouded with the innumerable bees and the only thing you can hear is the high pitched buzzing. This technique really is terrifying....but is it any different from her other one? "GO!" With that word, all of the bees begin charging directly towards you. They're not moving that fast, but you're pretty sure it'll all be over if the bees manage to surround you. A) Throw a Kunai + Explosive tag at the center. Worked last time right? B) Use your stone armor and run through the center. C) Wait for them to get closer and use your water wall D) Throw a smoke bomb, and then try to shunshin closer to her.
Knowing you have little time to act, you quickly reach into your bag and throw a smoke bomb directly under you. After a loud "pop," the area around you instantly becomes covered in a thick, purple smoke. You hear the flapping of wings die down a little bit, they must've stopped charging at you. "Great. Now what?" You think to yourself Suddenly, you remember a boulder what was placed about 10 meters behind Kairi. It's the perfect place for your counter attack. "Can't over shoot this..." You close your eyes and try to picture the exact place the boulder would be relative to your position. The training ground is completely bare, so even slightly off target will instantly reveal you. If that's not enough, the smoke makes it impossible to deduce exactly where it is. After a couple seconds, you're finally confident (as much as you can be.) that you can place yourself directly behind it. After a silent prayer, you make a single seal and disappear in a puff of smoke. ___________________ You reappear directly behind the boulder. Somehow, your aim was absolutely perfect. You take a quick peek from behind the boulder. Kairi is still looking anxiously at the cloud of smoke.....what an amateur. You reckon your smoke bomb still has a good ten second before it completely dissipitates, and she has foolishly used the all of her bees to surround the empty smoke cloud. Before you begin your attack, however, you notice that a good twenty or so bees are remaining very close to Kairi.....they must be her personal guards. You notice, however, that they seem much bigger and stronger than the bees used to charge at you. "Knowing her....they're probably just there to soak up any attack thrown at her. I probably won't have a second chance if I mess this up." A) Stone armor up and try to out taijutsu her. B) Try to use your mudshot technique to finish her C) Throw a Kunai + exploding tag at her feet D) Use your Fumbling Tectonics technique on her.....she probably won't die. E) Attempt an Earth Technique you've been learning (80%)
You carefully analyze the situation. Kairi's position; your position;the bee's position....everything is perfect. "I've never used this in a real battle yet....but this seems as good a time as any." You close your eyes and take a deep breath. Immediately after, you begin performing the hand seals needed for your attack, finally ending with the snake. Earth Release: Mud Dragon! Kairi looks behind her just in time to see the huge dragon collide into her. Both her and her bees are completely engulfed by your technique. Seconds after the dragon hits Kairi and her bees, it rams itself directly onto the ground, releasing a huge amount of sticky mud all over. The mud almost instantly solidifies into cold, hard earth. "Wow...that worked almost TOO well." You remark to yourself As you walk across the training ground and admire your handiwork, you step on something unusually soft. "PFF! GET YOUR FOOT OFF MY FACE!" You immediately retract your right foot and find Kairi....sorta. Only head sticking out from the mud. She doesn't look hurt, just really really really mad. You quickly bend over to rub it in. "Still think you're stronger than me?" You ask with a large, annoying smile "......you got lucky." She says in a pathetic attempt to save face. You give a loud laugh. "Right....then i guess you don't need my help getting out do you?" "AS IF!" She yells before spitting on your shoes. Disgusted, you quickly make your way back to the other side of the training ground. As you're walking away, you hear the sound of her struggling breath and vicious curses. You look behind you; she seems to be wiggling furiously in a futile attempt to get loose. You sort of feel guilty for leaving her there.....but you know Shin will get her out when he comes back. A) Eh...just go over and help her out. Be the mature one B) Let her stay in there C) Use your chakra to subtly weaken the mud around her. Let her keep her pride D) Same as B, but call her names from afar as well.
You give a loud sigh before walking back towards Kairi. As bad as she is, you don't have the heart to leave her like this. Her loud curses and useless struggling instantly cease once you get right in front of her. "Why do you always have to act like this?" You lazily ask before punching down on the mud, instantly destroying it. Kairi says nothing as you help her climb out of the hole. She looks at you for a second before dashing off. "W-WAIT!" You yell after her. But it's no use. By now she is long gone, and you are very confused. "Why....was she crying?" You ask yourself. ____________________ You spent the next half hour waiting for Shin. "He's never on time..." you think to yourself. "But why is Takamura late now too? That's very unlike him." Almost on que, two puffs of smoke suddenly appear in front of you. By the time they dissipitate, you can clearly see both Takamura and Shin. "Hi Daikon! Sorry were late, Takamura and i were busy arranging our first mission! The amount of emphasis and strength he put on the last part was rather annoying....but you can't help but feel excited as well. "Really?!" "Yep. Take a look Daikon, it actually seems rather interesting too." Takamura says before handing you a piece of paper. You quickly read it, Boldwin Baldwin, a merchant of the Gato Corporation, is requesting the aid of an Iwagakure team for protection on his next scheduled shipment. The team in question will be solely responsible for both the safety of Boldwin, and the cargo that he is transporting. The loss or damage of either of these will result in the immediate failure of the mission, a harsh penalty on the Iwagakure team sent, and an immediate refund on the amount paid to Iwagakure. The damaged party will also receive a monetary sum for reparations. The team in question will rendezvous with Boldwin at Seyda Neen, a small fishing town near the northern shore of The Land of Earth. The caravan will then be protected until it reaches the border of the Land of Earth and the Land of Fire; where the rest of the mission will then be transferred to a Konoha shinobi team. IWAGAKURE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CARAVAN ONLY UNTIL IT REACHES THE LAND OF FIRE.

Iwagakure will NOT be liable for any damages or death once the caravan reaches foreign land. Payment for the deployed team will be distributed upon success.
"An escort mission?" You ask incredulously "Yep. Fat pay too, that's why i requested it. Of course, that should be expected considering who the shipment belongs too." You quickly read over the letter. "Gato Corporation? Who is Gato?" Shin and Takamura stare at you in shock "Only the richest, most powerful man in the world! This guy has enough money to buy a small country if he wanted too." Shin almost yells "Yes...the amount of wealth he's accumulated is rather shocking. Many people are pointing towards foul play." Takamura remarks. Shin nods at Takamura's statement. "His annual report is probably even better than our Village's nowadays. Wouldn't be surprised if he actually had MORE money than us." Your eyes widen in disbelief. How can a single man be THIS powerful. Your thoughts are quickly ended by Shin slapping you hard on the back. "Still, our job isn't to judge. If he's willing to pay then were willing to work. It's odd though....the amount he's offering is far more than necessary for a simple escort. It was why the mission was processed so quickly." You take a look at the mission details once again. While it's been classified as a "C" rank mission, the reward listed is almost three times more than the normal commission. Is he simply flaunting his wealth? "Where's Kairi?" Takamura and Shin suddenly ask in unison "Well...errr...." A) Tell them everything B) "She overslept" C) "She went looking for you guys" D) "Women problem."
"She went out looking for you of course! You know how impatient she gets." You lie "Ehh, that does sound like something she'd do." Takamura shrugs "Well..I was kind of hoping i could go over this with everyone, but i'm kind of running low on time. So can i trust you guys to relay the information to her?" You both nod in unison "Okay, first things first. Failure is not an option. Gato is a very important client of our village, and we CANNOT jeopardize that." You both nod again "Secondly, we do not question, nor ask what the cargo is. Gato was very strict about the confidentiality part of his contract." You both nod again "Third, do not for a minute drop your guard. Even though this is a "C" escort mission, the economic condition of our country have led many to pursuit a life of thievery. EVERYBODY is a threat, okay?" You look at each other skeptically before nodding "Finally, try to gain some valuable experience from this mission. This will be your first time leaving Iwagakure for an extended period of time." You nod for the last time "The caravan is estimated to take almost two weeks to reach the Land of Fire so pack accordingly. The mission will start three days from today, so spend the whole time getting ready. Meet in front of the gates two hours....and that's about it. I have to go to a meeting now so.....DISMISSED!" Shin then disappears in the usual puff of smoke Takamura quickly punches you on the shoulder "So what are you going to do now?" A) Go home and tell your mom everything B) Go to Kairi's and relay the information (and see if she's okay) C) Go to the weapons shop and buy some cool supplies D) Nothing *follow Takamura*
"I'm going to go relay all of this information to Kairi." You say as you hold up the mission details. "Cool. I'm going to go open a bank account at central. I suggest you do this as well; shinobis are usually paid with bank letters after a mission, it's the only way to cash them in." You nod at Takamura before walking out of the training round. It's time to pay Kairi a visit. _________ Twenty minutes later, you find yourself in front of a huge, mansion located in the northern side of your Village. You're not that surprised about her privileged living conditions, afterall only the richest of the rich can afford to live in this area of Iwagakure. That, and she IS the heiress to one of your village's most prominent clans. She could probably live her whole life never a working a day if she wanted too.....a lifestyle that is rumored to become very common in her clan. You notice that while the mansion itself is rather large, the amount of land behind it is almost three times bigger. The backyard could easily be mistaken as a training ground in itself. "Must be to keep all their bees." You think to yourself You climb up the steps and knock on the mansions tower door. Almost instantly, a huge, burly man slams open the door. A mask is covering his face from the nose down, and his eyes are hidden by dark goggles. Even though you can't see his eyes, you know they're glaring directly at you. "Who are you and what do you want?" The man asks in a soft, intimidating tone. "Umm...can I speak with Kairi please? She wasn't at our team's meeting and I need to relay to her information on our next mission." The man stares at you for an uncomfortable amount of time, as if he's trying to decide if you're telling the truth or not. Finally, however, the man relents his glare. "Wait here." He orders before slamming the door closed. After a few minutes, the door is opened again. It's Kairi. "What do YOU want?" She asks "Here." You give her the paper detailing the next mission. She spends a good minute or two reading the paper. Her face changes from indifference to pure excitement. "Our first mission?!" She gasps in shock "Yep, it's an escort mission too." "Oh my god....usually Genins are forced to do stupid peasent work like roofing a house or some ****, but an escort?! This is great! And look at the reward money!" She yells almost in a squeel. You can tell she is getting really excited about this. This might be the best time to apologize. "I'm sorry about what happened back at the training ground Kairi." The smile on her face instantly disappears and she is now looking at you impassively. After a few minutes she sighs. "I guess I am too. I just got way too into the spar and the excitement....you know how much I hate losing." She remarks with a small smile. "Yeahhh, so no hard feelings?" "Lets just forget the whole thing." She agrees You two then share a long, awkward silence. Luckily, she breaks the silence. "...My family is about to have dinner. Would you like to join us Daikon?" She invites with a stoic face. "Uh..." A) "Sure?" B) "Sorry, I have to go home and tell my mom about this." C) "Sorry, I have to go to the weapons store before it closes." D) "Sorry, I have to go open a bank account." E) "......." *run away*
"Sure." Kairi then steps aside and motions you to enter the house. You take on step inside before gawking. The house is even more beautiful from the inside than the outside. The living room is beautifully decorated with expensive and elegant furniture. The rooms are painted in a combination of crimson and gold, making the room almost "sparkle." And to top it all off, there's a beautiful, 10 foot Artestian well in the very center of the whole thing. "If your done gawking, i'm starving." Kairi remarks a bit impatiently. You quickly nod your head and follow her to the dining room ___________________________________ Ten minutes later, you find yourself sitting down on an elegant, brown dining room table. This room is also lavishly decorated, with a grand fireplace and the family crest hung directly above it. Mr. Kamizuru, the man whom you met earlier, is sitting down directly opposite from you. He seems very annoyed that you're even here, and the cold glare he's giving you is almost making the uneasiness palpable. Kairi, on the other hand, is sitting right next to you. She seems to not notice (or care) how uncomfortable her dad is making you. Instead, she is waiting patiently for the food. Mrs. Kamizuru, a young and pretty lady, is also staring at you. Unlike her husband, however, it seems to be out of a simple curiousness than anything. "So... Daikon was it?" She asks in a nice tone. "Yes mam?" "How exactly do you know my daughter again?" You explain to her that you're all part of the same Genin team, and former classmates. "I see." Mrs. Kamizuru concludes. "And what are you doing here exactly?" Mr Kamizuru asks abruptly. "W-well, I came here to tell Kairi about our first mission an-" "and then I invited him over for dinner. Is there a problem dad?" Kairi interrupts. Mr. Kamizuru only mutters something under his breath and then becomes silent again. Atleast he's not staring at you anymore. "Your first mission? Oh my, isn't that exciting?! I hope it's not too dangerous dear.." Mrs Kamizuru remarks "Don't worry mom. It's just a simple escort mission." "Yes Mrs. Kamizuru, it's just an easy "C" rank mission. And besides, Takamura and I will make sure nothing happens to Kairi." Almost instantly, you realize that saying this was a mistake. While Mrs. Kamizuru seems relieved at your words, Kairi and her dad are now staring intently at you. "Are you implying that my daughter needs to be coddled?" Mr. Kamizuru questions with a hint of coldness in his voice. A) "Uh, n-ughh...." B) "No, of course not!" C) "And what if I am?!" D) "Wow Kairi, now I know where you get it." *storm out* E) Free
""No no no, not at all. I just wanted you to know that our team will be watching out for each other. To be perfectly honest, my mind was put to ease when I heard I'd be working with a member of your clan." You quickly remark. Apparrently you said the right thing. Kairi instantly lifts her gaze and for a second you swear she was smiling. Mr. Kamizuru also seems more relaxed as he reclines back on his chair. His wife playfully hits him on the arm. "Now honey, both you and I know what he meant. Stop being so confrontational!" Mr. Kamizuru hangs his head and mutters something inaudible. Hopefully there was a "i'm sorry," somewhere in there. "Look, our dinner is ready!" Two servants enter with four, steaming hot plates of food. They set the plates down gracefully, and dismiss themselves. One plate contains a smoking turkey cooked to a perfect golden-brown color. The turkey is plump and adorned with juicy vegetables. Another plate contains scalding hot gravy. Obviously to accompany the Turkey. The third plate contains a large pie. What's inside, you cannot tell. Finally, the fourth plate contains a beautifully carved ham. You're pretty much drooling now, you've never seen so much food in your whole life. Do they always eat like this?! "Make sure to try the pie Daikon. Our bees personally made the honey, I can personally vouch for its quality!" Mrs. Kamizuru states. You quickly nod your head before cutting yourself a slice of ham ____________________________________ The rest of the dinner went by surprisingly well. The food was of course excellent, and you think you really hit it off with Kairi's mom. You even managed to tell a joke that you swore made Mr. Kamizuru laugh. Thirty minutes later, all the food has been eaten and it's about time for you to leave. "I'll see you out the door Daikon." Kairi says. As you get up from your chair you quickly thank her family for the delicious dinner. "It was nothing Daikon! Make sure you come over again, Kairi never brings boys home!" All three of you give her a funny look before Kairi hurriedly pushes you out of the room ______________________ "Thanks for inviting me." You say as you're walking out the door. "No problem. But..." You quickly look back at her. "Y..you didn't tell the others about the spar right?" You know she's talking about the part where she ran away crying. "Nah. I just told them you went out looking for them." A huge smile appears on Kairi's face. She throws her ams open and gives you a big hug. "Thanks Daikon! I'll see you in three days okay?" "Uhh...yeah." "Bye!" She quickly closes the door on you. "That was...weird." A) "Well, time to go home" B) "Hmm...the weapon store might still be open." C) "Might as well see if Takamura's still at the bank." D) "I think I need to jog all these calories off."
"Hmm....the weapon store might still be open. I need to pick up supplies anyways." You decide to delay your trip home. Afterall, it's best to do your shopping now when the store is a lot less packed. Quietly, you begin to walk towards the center of town. _______________________ Twenty minutes later, you find yourself in the "poor" side of town. The area is littered with an innumerable amount of shacks and a beggar or two to go with each of them. Despite wanting too, you harden your heart and ignore every desperate plea for money and help. Afterall, if you went down the line giving to each beggar you saw, you'd be one yourself by the time you got through half of them. As you are walking down, however, one of them actually places himself in front of your path. He's holding a rusty kitchen knife. "Your money or your life kid." You stare at him impatiently. You place your hand on your forehead protector, hoping that will scare him off. "Hah! You think I ****ing care if you're a shinobi?! You're the whole damn reason the village is in this condition anyways!" Your eyes widen in shock, what the hell is he talking about? He seems to revel in your ignorance. "HAH! You didn't even know that did you?! Lemme guess, you're fresh out of the Academy aren't you?!" You only give a small nod. The other beggars are starting to congregate around you, to see if there's about to be a fight. "Well because of your SENIORS! Our village's mission track record is ****. The amount of failures and defaults on missions have skyrocketed so much, that people don't even hire Iwagakure shinobi's anymore, causing the taxes to increase! And now, because of your FAILURE us honest folks have to resort to THIS just to feed our families!" He yells, waving the knife in front of you. You say nothing. Instead, you perform the necessary seals and place the man in a weak genjutsu, instantly knocking him out. Some of the other beggars gasp in surprise, wondering if you're going to kill him. But you do no such thing, you simply walk over him and continue down your merry way. You feel no resentment for the man, only pity. Pity that a once honest man has had to resort to a life of crime. You learned something important from him actually: failure is not an option, and that more people than you know are riding on your success
The rest of the trip was rather dull, after you knocked out the man nobody even so much as looked as you. You finally manage to reach the weapon's store about ten minutes later. You're greeted by a familiar face standing outside the door. "Daikon! How have you been lad?" You give a small smile before replying "Pretty good Sal. Are you still open?" "Well...technically I closed the shop about five minutes ago. But how can I deny my favorite customer? Come in lad." Sal quickly pulls out a key and unlocks the door, motioning for you to come in. "Thanks Sal, i'll make this quick I promise." You say as you enter the shop You quickly go around and buy your usual supplies. You get five kunais as well as a few smoke bombs and explosion tags to go with it. You quickly pay the nice man and begin walking out the door.
Wait!" Sal abruptly yells "Yeah?" "I forgot to show you! I just got a new shipment of exotic weapons from Konoha, come look!" He motions you to come to the backroom. You give a small shrug before following him. The room is completely dark at first, but Sal quickly flicks on a light switch. You immediately see dozens of crates containing who-knows-how-many types of weapons. "Look at this one Daikon!" Sal yells as he begins opening a crate. You look over and see a rich assortment of weapons, some you've never even seen before. Sal reaches in and begins pulling each of them out one-by-one. First, he pulls out a long, silvery weapon. You notice that it has small, metal spikes protruding from almost every chain. "This heres a spiked chain. I hear this weapon is getting really popular in the Land of Iron's police force. Despite its a rather versatile weapon. Usually, however, it's mainly used to wrap around a persons leg. From there, you can simply pull it and make him lose his balance. The spikes also makes sure that he wont be able to wiggle free once ensnared. Not only that, you can even coat the spikes in poison too." "Isn't it a bit of a hassle to carry around though?" Sal gives a jovial laugh before patting you on the head. "Like most weapons now-a-days, you can keep it inside a scroll. Some people even tattoo the seals on their palms so that the weapon instantly appears on their hands." Sal puts the chain back in the box, and the proceeds to pull out another one. It seems to be a bow "This heres a special bow. Very popular with the once prominent Fuuma clan." "What's so special about it? Looks like a regular old bow to me." "Well for one thing it doesn't fire normal arrows. You focus your chakra on the strings, and then an arrow made completely out of YOUR chakra is created." "Does it still hurt?" "See for your self." He throws the bow at you. You follow Sal's instructions and pull on the bow of the string, focusing your chakra into it. A brown, corporeal arrow appears between your fingers. "Shoot at the wall lad, no need for my stuff to be damaged in your fun." You point at the wall and let go of the string. The arrow instantly collides with the wall, leaving a fist shaped crater before disappearing. "Wow..." "Yep, and that's not even the last one!"
He then pulls out an elegant katana and unsheaths it. The handle is decorated beautifully in a gold, black color and the blade looks extremely sharp. "I actually got this one from a village on my way back to Iwagakure. He was selling it at a dirt-cheap price and I simply couldn't resist taking it off his hands. Just look at it! It's obviously a high quality weapon!" "Wow...why did he sell it so cheap?" You ask as you silently examine the sword. "Oh, he went on and on about how it's cursed or something. See, this weapon is supposedly sentient and will bring great misery and pain to all who wield it. It even has a name, Sandai Kitetsu or something like that." "Yeesh....hard to imagine why he wouldn't want a cursed, sentient sword!" Sal gives a quick smile before sheathing the sword and taking back his bow. "Well, any of these weapons interest you lad?" You DO really want them....but neither you or your mother have money right now. "They're all wonderful Sal, but I don't think I can afford ANY of them." You say frowning. Sal brings his hand to his chin for a minute and begins speaking to himself inaudbily. After a few minutes, he throws both his hands in the air. "I can't say no to that face! Tell you what, how about I GIVE you one of these weapons. As a graduation present and whatnot? You've always been a loyal customer, and I hope that this will convince you to stay that way." Your face instantly cracks into a smile. But which one will you take? A) Take the Chain B) Take the Bow C) Take the Katana D) I really don't need anything
"I'll take the bow Sal." Sal smiles at you before handing it over. You quickly take this time to examine every inch of your new weapon. The bow is an elegant white color with a black stripe running down both of its tips. You estimate that the weapon is about six foot in height, a good six inches taller than you. You notice, however, that the weapon is surprisingly light for its size, almost unnaturally. You can tell this is at priceless and powerful weapon. As you are fumbling around with your weapon as a child would with a new toy, you notice an insignia near the grip. "GF? Whose GF?" You ask "Ahh yes. Of all the weapons I've shown you, this bow is perhaps the most valuable. GF was the initials of its previous owner, Genkuyagero Fuma." "Who was he?" You ask. "Genkuyagero was the former leader of the Fuma clan, and also the mightiest of them all. His skill with the bow was so great, that we named "Genkuyagero of the Thousand Arrows" by his enemies and allies alike. Using this bow, he carved an era of great prosperity for his clan, making them one of the most powerful in all of the world." "Was he really that proficient with this bow?" "Of course. According to legends, he posessed the dojutsu known as the "Iragan Eye." With it, his vision extended over a thousand miles, and his improved dexterity allowed him to pin a fly by its wing without killing it. Supposedly, he could also "lock-on" to his enemies chakra, ensuring no arrow would ever miss its mark." "Wow....what happened to him?" Sal gives a sad sigh before answering. "It depends who you ask. According to Konohagakure, Tobirama killed him during the last Fuma raids many years ago. If you ask the Fuma clan, he is training in a secret place, preparing to reemerge and save the Fuma in their times of dire need. Logically speaking, I believe the first one is much more believable." "Where did you get such a priceless weapon?!" "To be honest, I found it. I was drinking from a river on one of my many trips to Konohagakure, when I noticed something gleaming in the water. Being the curious type, I quickly reached out to grab this mysterious object, and it was this bow. Being a weapons master, I instantly knew its worth and quickly packed it in my caravan." You look at your new bow. Suddenly, you don't feel worthy of owning a weapon with such a rich history. "Why are you giving this to me Sal? Not only am I unworthy of using this, you could probably buy an entire village with how much this is worth!" Sal gives a jolly laugh before putting his hand on your shoulder. "First of all, I really CANT sell this. If the Fuma clan knew I was in posession of this, they'd probably personally invade Iwagakure and slit my throat in my sleep! Probably best to get rid of it when I can. Second, i'm giving you this because I know you will use it well. Call it a gut feeling, but I can tell you're going to have a bright future ahead of you." You smile at Sal's reassuring words. "Now! Come over here and I will tattoo the seal on your palm. This will let you summon it whenever you want."
After the painful ordeal was over, Sal taught you how to summon the weapon where ever you were. Its quite simple really, you just make two hand seals and bring your left arm in a "chop." The bow will then instantly appear on your hand. "Its a little awkward at first, but you'll get used to it." Sal reassures you. "Thanks a lot Sal." You say as you give him a hug. "It's no problem lad. Now go on home! Your mother is probably worried sick about you!" With a huge smile, you quickly run all the way home, cradling your new weapon as if it was a new born. _______________________ You now find yourself in your room. The mission is still not for another three days, and you've already packed ahead of time. "What should I do now?" A) Spend the rest of the time resting. Best to be fresh for your big day B) Unlock a supplementary Water jutsu (90%) C) Unlock a supplementary Earth Jutsu (70%) D) Work on your proficiency with the bow E) Unlock a new non-elemental jutsu (80%)
You decide to spend the next three days practicing with your new weapon. Afterall, you wouldn't exactly call yourself an "expert" at archery. So to practice, you create a bunshin of yourself and order it to run around while you try to shoot it. You quickly realize that using this weapon is much more complicated than you thought. While you can easily shoot the arrow, your eyes and hands simply cannot keep up with a rapidly moving target. You realize that you must learn to anticipate your targets movement; find where they're going to go next before they go there. While you have made some progress in that field, you are by no means a master of it when the three days are up. You also quickly learn some of the mechanics of your new weapons. The arrows you create are simply a manifestation of your chakra, so naturally you can manipulate how much you put into each arrow. The more chakra you put in, the bigger your arrow will get. Even better, your arrows are not affected by air resistance or wind, so they will go in a perfect line as long as your hands are steady. Right now, your normal arrows only last about 70 meters before they disappear; but they can easily go over 100 meters if you pump enough chakra into them. Finally, you experiment on how many arrows you can actually make before you completely run out of Chakra, While the number changes with each experiment, the average was about 125. With the day of your mission finally here, you run out the door towards your village gates. _____________________________ By the time you get there, you see that your whole team is already present. "Ready to go Daikon?" Shin asks with a smile You nod your head vigorously "It'll take us about 18 hours to get to Seyda Neen on foot. We can probably get there today if we don't make any stops." Takamura states holding a map. "Lets get going then!" Kairi yells in excitement
All four of you nod before dashing out of the gate towards Seyda Neen.
You arrive at the village almost exactly when Takamura predicted. The town is a run-down and poor fishing village. You can count only about fifty houses and none of them look fit to house a human-being. You see a few villagers roaming the streets, but each of them are absolutely filthy and wearing tattered clothes. They all have the eyes of a person who has given up on life. "It seems our whole country is in a depression....these conditions absolutely horrid." Your team only nods "But we can't let that stop us from our mission. Lets go find Baldwin and start the mission already." _______________________________ After about 20 minutes of asking and looking around, you finally find him in the village's only inn. As you approach the building, you notice a carriage carrying three heavy boxes hitched outside. "That's probably the cargo were going to escort." Shin remarks All three of you then enter the building __________________________________ The inside of the building is comparable to the filth outside. You see dozens of shady men and alcoholics laughing and talking much louder than needed. You also see, however, a lanky man wearing a business suit sitting alone in a corner. That must be Baldwin. You quickly approach him. "Excuse me, are you Baldwin?" "And who the hell are you?!" He barks "Um...were the Iwagakure shinobis you hired. For the escort?" You quickly motion towards your forehead protector. At first his face is still contorted in rage, but after a few second it relaxes into understanding. "Aye. Sorry about my manners kid, the locals here are barking mad. I've caught more than one of them trying to impersonate shinobis and volunteer to escort my cargo. Wouldn't be bloody surprise if they try just outright stealing it next." "Well keep an eye on it." You promise. "Are we heading out now sir?" Takamura asks "Not today child. My mind and body are weary from walking all the way here already, best to wait till morrow, when all of us can have a nice rest." "I'll rent us a room then." Shin states "No need too, I already rented ye two rooms. Share them however you want." He throws two keys at Shin." "Don't worry about it. But don't get too comfortable either, were leaving bright and early tommorow and I don't like waiting for stragglers. Now i'm off to bed." He gets up and walks towards the stairs. "What do we do now sensei?" You ask "Well...i'm going to go to bed. Kairi and I will share a room and you..." he throws a key at you, "will share with Takamura. You guys can explore the rest of the village if you want, but don't stay out too late. See you tommorow." Shin then leaves as well. "What are you going to do now Daikon?" Takamura and Kairi asks A) Go to sleep B) Hang out with your teammates down here C) Explore the village, ask about the roads. D) Ask what they're going to do.
"Lets just hang out; we havn't been able to spend a lot of time together lately." Takamura nods before sitting down, but Kairi yawns instead. "I'm going to sleep." She then leaves you two alone. You order two drinks for you and Takamura and begin discussing each other's training. "Learn anything cool?" You ask him You see a small smile form in Takamura's face, you can tell he wants to brag a little bit. "Sure did! My father taught me how to use some "Demonic Illusion" genjutsus, he says I have a real knack for them too. OH and he gave me this too!" Takamura performs a few hand seals and places his palm on the table. A katana magically appears on the table. It's the katana that Sal showed you three days ago! "Is that Sandai Kitetsu?!" You ask in disbelief Takamura seems surprised that your familiar with this weapon "Yeah, I think that's what its called. Have you seen it before?" You tell him about your conversation with Sal, explaining how you almost chose that weapon yourself, but the curse seemed more trouble than its worth. Takamura only laughs when you mention the curse. "There's something weird about this sword definitely, but I wouldn't say its CURSED. Look at this." He unsheaths the sword and points at a mark near the near the hilt that you missed. Its a seal. "This is a containment seal. There's definitely an entity trapped inside this blade, but it's a bit premature for me to just conclude that its cursed don't you think? Besides, my father payed an extortionate amount of money for this, he'd kill me if I just decided not to use it." "B-but Sal sai-" "I've used swords before Daikon, and this one feels exactly like any other. What kind of ninja would I be if I was afraid of my own tools?" You decide to drop the subject, it's pretty clear he's serious about using this sword. For some reason, you just have a very bad feeling about it. "How about you Daikon? Learn anything cool?" You tell him about the new jutsu's Shin taught you, and about your new bow. You even told him about GF, the previous owner of it. "Wow, you have some pretty big shoes to live up too don't you?" "No kidding." "Still...i've never heard of this Iragan eye. From the way Sal was talking about it though, it seems necessary to completely master your new weapon." You suddenly frown at that statement. Not even the most skilled ninjas can learn a bloodline limit. Takamura stands up from the table. "I'm going to go to sleep now. You probably should too, we have to be in top shape for this mission." You nod your head before standing up and following him to the room _______________________ The next day, you find yourself with your team in front of the village. Shin is going over your formation for the long trip and Baldwin is waiting patiently on his Carriage. "We should probably position ourselves in four positions around the Cargo. One in front, Two on the left and right side, and one can actually be on top of the carriage. Who should go where though?" Shin asks Front: Right: Left: Top:
"I think Kairi should be on top of the Carriage. She'll have a better vantage point for her bees, and will be able to scout further ahead for us. Takamura should be in front because he's the most skilled in taijutsu. I'll be on the right hand side since my techniques are strongest when i'm on Earth, and I guess you'll be on the left side sensei." Your whole team nods at your choice and begins to move into their respectable position. "Were ready to leave Mr. Baldwin." You yell to the man "Bout damn time....been waiting here forever ___________________________ The beginning of your trip was surprisingly uneventful. Besides a few merchants and courier's, the roads were pretty much empty. Almost two weeks later, you're only about three more days from the drop-off point. It's actually starting to seem like you're being paid for nothing. "These roads are clear as a river, can't believe Gato made me pay for Iwagakure shinobis!" Boldwin complains. "Think about it like this, your giving three promising kids a bright future." Shin says optimistically. Before he can say something, a dense mist begins to envelop you. The fog instantly causes Shin and Takamura to pull out their weapons; you summon your bow as well. No way is this natural. "Kairi! Use your bees to scout the area!" Takamura orders "I'm on it. Thousand Bee Sting technique!" The sound of thousands of bees buzzing begins to cover the area. "Such a troublesome attack....a member of the Kamizuru clan I presume?" A mysterious, cool voice remarks. "SHOW YOURSELF!" Kairi barks "In due time child....after I kill the brat." Clutch Moment A) Shoot your arrow at the direction of the voice B) Throw an explosion kunai at the direction of the voice, maybe it'll clear out the fog. C) Use your Head Hunter jutsu D) Stone armor up and wait. E) Free choice
Quickly, you throw a Kunai+explosion tag at the direction of his voice. The tag almost immediately explodes, and the force of the blast manages to clear almost all of the fog. You see a tall, muscular man wielding what looks like a giant cleaver. He's aiming for Takamura. "TAKAMURA WATCH OUT!" You scream Takamura moves just in time to raise his Katana into the enemies slice. The sheer force behind the blade makes Takamura drop his sword and fall to the ground. Just as the man is about to the coup de grace, "Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!" A huge fireball immediately collides into the enemy. It seems to have been a fatal hit, but the enemy immediately liquifies...it was a clone. "Who the hell was that?!" Boldwin screams "I don't know sir. Good idea clearing the fog Daikon, there's no where he can hide now!" Shin states as he's helping Takamura up "Whose running?" All three of you look at the direction of his voice. He's standing on a tree directly in front of you and preparing s sleight of seals: YOUR his new target! "Water Release: Water Dragon jutsu!" A huge dragon made of water emerges towards you and the cargo. A) Jump out the way! B) Shoot your arrow through the middle of it C) Counter with a Mud Dragon D) Free
You immediately throw your bow high into the air and begin forming your own seals. Your practice with Shin is paying off, for you manage to do all of them in mere seconds. Just as the Water Dragon is about to collide with you and the cargo, "Earth Release: Mud Dragon!" A dragon made entirely of mud bursts through the ground directly under the water dragon, colliding and forcing it high into the air. The dragons remain in the air for a second before disappearing and raining down a mixture of mud and water. You quickly grab the bow as it falls down in front of you "Hmph...you're pretty good kid, bu-AGHH!." The enemy is interrupted mid-sentence by a kunai being stabbed deep into his leg. Shin emerges silently from the ground, his hand still firmly placed on the Kunai...this must be his headhunter jutsu. You see him try to form more seals, but his body abruptly stiffens up, he must have been caught by one of Takamura's genjutsus. "Kairi, NOW!" "Get him!" She shouts at her bees. Almost instantly, they all begin launching a barrage of deadly stingers. The sheer amount of them is enough to make the air sparkle....there's no way he can dodge this now! Just as the stingers are about to collide with the man, "Ice Release: Protective Ice Dome." A huge dome of clear ice forms around Zabuza. The stingers all hit the dome, but immediately slide off after collision. The ice disappears as soon as it appears "Nice one Haku." The man says. He then manages to regain function of his body and kick at Shin, who immediately shunshins back to the carriage. A lanky figure wearing a hunter-nin mask positions appears next to the enemy. "You shouldn't have attacked by yourself master Zabuza. They seem fairly skilled, and now you are wounded." "Pfeh, they got lucky is all." "Zabuza? Of the Demon mist?!" Shin asks with a hint of fear in his voice. "So my name even reaches into the ears Iwagakure shinobis? I am honored." He says sarcastically "Who is he sensei?! Kairi asks This conversation seems fine and all....but do you want to continue it? A) Ask him _______ B) Surprise him with ________________ C) Do nothing
Just as Shin is about to finish explaining, you quickly pull up your bow and shoot an arrow at the this "Haku," kid. Luckily, you've been working on your "quick-draw." and is able to fire an arrow in under two seconds. The arrow speeds directly towards the Haku's mask, guaranteeing a kill if it hits. Just as the arrow is about to make contact with his mask, a clear, thing mirror of ice appears directly in front of him. The arrow collides into the mirror, creating cracks all around the sheet. Unfortunately, it's not strong enough to break it, and it disappears shortly after. The mirror soon follows suit. "Attacking in the middle of a conversation? That kid's got spunk." "He's rather fast as well....please allow me to deal with him." "Fine." Haku instantly charges at you in a blinding pace. You can vaguely see he's carrying what appears to be a metal needle in his right arm. You drop your bow and pull out a kunai, ready for a close combat battle. You remember, however, that your back is completely to the caravan, greatly limiting your mobility. Also, at this distance, you can't risk using your Earth techniques, out of fear that the cargo will be damaged as well. Perhaps a change of location is in order? 1) Yes, move away from the road and near the river south of your location. 2) No stay where you are and ___________
You notice that Haku is having to run downhill in order to reach you. "Perfect, he won't have time to dodge THIS!" You think excitedly Quickly, your throw the Kunai in your hand at him, close combat was never your forte anyways. Haku throws his senbon needle at it and they both collide in mid-air, leaving them useless on the ground. Luckily, your Kunai was just a distraction. "Earth Release: Mud Shot!" You feel the tingling sensation of Chakra being rushed up your esophagus. You open your mouth and a violent torrent of mud shoots out directly towards him. Haku attempts to jump over your jutsu, but the uneven foundation results in him not getting enough vertical distance to completely avoid it. The mud hits him painfully in the stomach and you see him double over in pain. The mud soon solidifies and covers his abdomen and right hand, crippling him. Before you can follow up on your attack, you hear: "Bee Honey Technique!" A torrent of angry bees begin rushing towards Haku, who is still in mid-air. You hear him murmur something under his breath while beginning a sleight of seals with his free hand. He then throws a few droplets of water pass both you and the caravan. "HAH! We got him now Daikon!" The bees rush frantically towards him, their stingers pointing out. Before he becomes completely shadowed by all the bees, however, you see him make a single seal with his free hand. All of a sudden, the bees stop moving and begin buzzing even louder, clearly confused. "W-where'd he go?!" Kairi yells in disbelief "OVER THERE!" You point You see Haku running furiously towards a river about 30 yards south of your location. He must've done a space-time jutsu or something. He soon rushes pass a thicket of vegetation, now clearly out of your sight. "QUICK! WE CAN STILL GET HIM!" Kairi shouts before she begins chase, her bees following closely behind her. You look over towards Takamura and Shin. They are battling furiously in close combat with Zabuza, the sound of their metal-on-metal collision is deafening. Most likely, they'll be able to hold him off while you two deal with Haku. As you are about to run, however, you suddenly realize something. The reason the battle has been going so well so far was because you clearly had the terrain advantage. Not only did Haku have to run downhill to reach you, but she was doing it in your natural element: earth. If you chase him and fail to catch him before he reaches the river, you'll now be fighting in HIS element. Unfortunately, letting him just go might be just as bad if he manages to reenter this battle. E) Free Choice
"STOP KAIRI!" You yell at the top of your lungs. Kairi abruptly stops her chase and looks at you, annoyance clearly on her face. "What do you mean stop?! We got him on the run!" She yells back at you "We have no idea what he is capable of, and if he makes it to the river well be fighting on HIS territory. He'd murder us both." You say bluntly "You don't know that! Why are you being such a pu-" "Our mission isn't to kill a rogue ninja it's to protect THIS!" You jam your right finger at the cargo. "So what?! You're just going to let him wash off the mud and then come back and kill us when were not looking?!" She asks incredulously. "No. You go help Shin and Takamura fight Zabuza. I'll keep a lookout for him up that hill with my bow." Kairi looks at you, but doesn't move. You can tell she is thinking about defying your orders. "Kairi, this is a MISSION. People DIE when they don't follow orders." You try to say in a sympathetic tone "Who are YOU to order anyone around anyways?! Takamura is th-" "JUST DO IT!" You yell in an uncharacteristically angry voice. Kairi recoils at your words, but she finally nods and runs to help Takamura and Shin. "Finally..." You think to yourself. You quickly shunshin up to the cliff and resummon your bow, keeping a lookout for Haku. After a few minutes, you see a rumbling in the bushes....it's definitely him. A) Shoot your arrow at the location B) Use Fumbling Tectonics on the area, flush him out C) Mud dragon the area D) Aim your bow at the location, but wait for him to go out in the open E) Free
You immediately shoot an arrow at the bushes. The arrow violently collides with the bushes, smashing them and setting it on fire. Nobody was there. As you begin to reload, you see Haku dash out from behind the trees, a good 20 meters north of where the bushes were. From the looks of it, he's trying to enter the battle with Zabuza. You immediately aim your bow about 10 yards in front of him and shoot. The arrow speeds towards him at a blinding pace, leaving slight trail of blue chakra behind it. The arrow connects directly with the young mans mask, shattering it and causing him to fall over instantly. Your training is beginning to pay off. As you begin to smile in glory, you see a sight that immediately knocks it off your face. His body begins to....melt. "It can't be a clone! He would've disappeared the moment I hit him!" "You are correct." You hear a chilling voice say behind you. You immediately look behind you and see a mirror made of ice. It wouldn't really surprise you except......he's actually IN it. His mask has been shattered in half, and there's a small sliver of blood running from his mouth....and boy does he look MAD. All of a sudden, the mirrors begin to duplicate around you, until you're completely surround by them. Haku's image can be seen through ALL of the mirrors. "This is my ultimate attack, Demonic Ice Mirrors. You will not survive this." He says bluntly. You suddenly see him reach into his pocket and pull out a sharp, metal senbon. This might be bad. Clutch Moment E) Free Choice
You quickly form the seals to make your stone armor. Instantly, your skin turns a dull, grey color as the Earth chakra begins to circulate throughout your body. Confident that you can now tank whatever he'll throw at you, you aim your bow at one the mirrors and shoot. The arrow hits one of the mirrors and it instantly cracks, making the image of Haku on it disappear. Immediately after wards, however, you feel a rush of fresh air and the terrible sound of something scraping on your armor. You don't feel any damage, but your armor is now covered in a plethora of thin, shallow cut marks. "Your armor is very impressive. I attacked you 75 times and it still doesn't show any sign of breaking." Haku says blankly You say nothing, instead you shoot your arrow at another mirror and crack it. "It seems I will have to try and break it through different methods." You instantly feel the rush of wind again, instead of scraping, however, you feel something gently tapping you. Quickly, you shoot another arrow at a mirror and break it. After Haku's attack is finished, you still feel no pain. "Hah! Is that it?" You say triumphantly "It is enough. Look." He says blankly You look down at your armor and see that the cracks are now covered in ice. They quickly melt, but you can see that the ice is PUSHING OPEN the cracks. "W-what..how?" "I can manipulate ice just as easily as you can manipulate the Earth. Eventually, the ice WILL reveal your flesh, and that is when the battle will be over." He says simply You quickly analyze the situation. There are a total of 21 mirrors, but you've already broken three of them on the first level. You don't really know how he is attacking, but you assume the "rush of wind," is his rapid movement, considering the cracks were caused by scrapes. If this is true, his mirrors must be key to his attack. Meaning if you destroy all of them, his attack will instantly end. The question is, will your armor hold out long enough for you to destroy them? CLUTCH MOMENT E) Free Choice
You realize that you have no chance of winning if you stay in the middle of his mirrors. Quickly, you give a large yell and dash towards one of the openings. "...Fool." You hear him say before you feel a huge gust of wind. The piercing sound of slashing and ice forming around you is deafening. Your body soons become covered in scratches and ice. Luckily, he still hasn't been able to penetrate your armor, but it's only a matter of time. You manage to destroy two more mirrors during your bull charge. Just as you are barely a meter from the opening....you see a small bit of pink on your right wrist barely a centimeter long. "That is enough." You suddenly feel a blinding pain on your wrist and your vision darkens. You immediately fall over, but manage to roll yourself out of the dome and down the hill. Once you've finally stopped rolling, you try to bring your wrist up, but you can't even feel it anymore. You quickly shift your eyes towards it, and see that he somehow managed to shove four needles through that tiny opening. As you futilely try to stand up, you see Haku reappear in front of you through a mirror that appeared out of thin air, "Checkmate." He says confidently before lifting a needle You close your eyes and prepare yourself for the end...it's over. "SWORD TECHNIQUE: DANCE OF THE CRESCENT MOON!" You hear Takamura yell You open your eyes just in time to see Takamura jam his katana deep inside Haku's right shoulder. The boy immediately vomits out blood and falls to his knees, the sword still protruding from his shoulder. "Finish him. I'm going to deal with Zabuza." Takamura says wearily. "Thanks Takamura." You manage to say. He only nods before grabbing the swords handle and shaving it out of Haku's shoulder, immediately knocking him unconscious. He then runs back towards Shin and Kairi. You look down towards the body of your defeated adversary before pulling a kunai from your pocket. He's still alive, and you can easily incarcerate him now with your Earth Techniques.....but killing him might be more prudent. What do you do? A) Kill him B) Tie him up C) Leave him there.
Immediately, you kick him over so that he's laying on his back. You align your kunai so that the point is sticking right at Haku's neck. *slit* The neck immediately starts pouring out blood. His eyes open for a brief second before turning grey and dead. "Well...that was unpleasant." You say before throwing the kunai away. You begin to pull out the four needles protruding from your arm. As you do this, you find that your getting a little bit more feeling in it....the needles must have been poisoned. "Now to get back in the battle..." You shunshin back on top of the Cargo and try to examine how the battle is going Zabuza is truly a monster, he seems to be battling three of your allies to an exhausting stand-still. He has a few minor cuts and stingers on his body, but he isn't showing signs of quitting. Kairi seems relatively fine as well. She is staying in the back and sneaking a few bees in Zabuza's blindspot with varying success. Shin and Takamura are fighting Zabuza in close combat. Unfortunately, the barbaric way Zabuza is swinging his huge sword is making it hard for them to get in close. It also seems to be mowing down the bees that Kairi are sending at him How should you enter this battle? A) Try to get his attention and show Haku's dead body, try to psyche him out B) Stay away and try to kite him with your arrows......unfortunately you only have enough chakra for about 10 more C) Try to sneak Haku's poisoned needles into his sword arm. D) Use a low-leveled Doton on his legs, try to make him lose balance E) Free
You quickly run back to Haku's dead body and begin looting his body. You find dozens of ultra sharp senbons in his pocket, and after close inspection, you find a small sliver of liquid at the tip. "This must be the poison he used on my arm. No time to waste!" Just as you are beginning to run back towards the fight, something very strange happens. Both the bow you are carrying and Haku's corpse begins glowing in a blinding, white light. Suddenly, you see an orb-like object expel itself from Haku's mouth. The orb slowly drifts towards you until it crashes painfully into your chest, causing all the air to expel from your lungs and knocking you down. "That...was weird." You say as you get back up and quickly rejoin the battle. Zabuza is still fighting furiously despite being clearly outnumbered. By now his swordplay is little more than him spinning blindly towards his opponents, making it impossible for them to get in close. The sheer force and speed of his sword's spin is amazing, it's almost creating a gust of wind. You quickly place a senbon between each of your 10 fingers. "I just gotta hit his arm with one of these..." You think to yourself. You quietly observe his fighting pattern for a few seconds, trying to deduce the best time to strike. You finally notice that after about 12 spins, he slightly slows down to steady himself....you quickly wait for the next chance. A few seconds later, he finishes another 12 spins. "NOW!" You think to yourself. You quickly throw 10 senbons at him, aiming for his sword arm and shoulder. "AGH!" You hear him yell before hearing a loud *thud* You notice that while most of your needles were repelled by his sword, two them managed to find their mark. One has pierced through his shoulder, and the other just above the elbow....the poison must be taking effect. "Good job Daikon!" You hear Takamura yell, raising his katana in a cheer. "NOW KAIRI!" You hear Shin scream. "Right! Bee Honey Attack!" Hundreds of bee's begin charging towards Zabuza. Without his sword, he can do nothing but let himself be overwhelmed and shadowed by the bees. After a few seconds, the bees dissipitate away from Zabuza, who is now covered in a sticky, gold substance. Only his head can be seen from all the goo. You quickly rejoin your teammates. "Now....are you ready to answer our questions?" Shin asks casually before sheathing his kunai. Zabuza remains silent. "Don't bother hoping for your teammate to save you; he's dead." You say matter-of-factly. Zabuza still remains silent, but shifts his gaze towards you. You see a twinge of anger on his face. "I'm not saying anything." Zabuza states. Shin only sighs at his resistance. "Just can't do it the easy way can you? Takamura, see if you can loosen his tongue with some genjutsu." "Yes sir!" Takamura says before running in front of Zabuza. He quickly performs a one-handed seal and stares inside Zabuza's eyes. Both him and Zabuza abruptly become perfectly still.....this must be one of his techniques. "Kairi, go make sure Boldwin is okay. Tend to any wounds that he might have, and call me if you see any severe ones." She quickly nods before running back towards the cargo, the bees loyally following her. Shin the shifts his gaze towards you and grabs your arm. "Go wash your wrist in the river. The water is clean, and will wash off all this blood. I'll bandage it once you come back." You nod and begin running across the flora towards the river.
After a few minutes, you find yourself in front of the river. The current is running rather slowly, so you have no trouble putting your wrist inside the cold water. As you are doing this however, you begin feeling a strange sensation inside you. It's rather hard to describe, but it feels sort of like a consciousness is trying to...break free. You suddenly feel an incredible amount of pain and your vision begins to whiten......and just as it began, the feelings abruptly stop. You feel the warm rush of blood returning to your face. "W-what....was that?" You ask yourself, still shaken. Suddenly, you feel: A) that you can perform single-handed seals...although not that well B) Infuse your chakra arrows with a small amount of ice chakras.. C) Like your hands and chakra are very...very cold. D) As if your body is as light as a feather E) As if you can manipulate suiton's much more masterfully.
You suddenly feel very, very cold. You look at your hands and notice that they are still red with color....but you feel yourself shivering. You feel like your going to freeze to death even under this scorching sun. "T-this....isn't natural!" You yell out loud while shivering Now you will know my curse. You hear an arcane voice say. "WHO'S THERE?!" You scream at the air, now clearly frightened. Now you will know my torment. Your body suddenly starts to turn numb, the cold is getting even worse. "STOP IT!" Now....you will know my sorrow Your body starts to spasm uncontrollably and you feel foam coming out of your mouth. Your vision fades, and you feel yourself falling down. Now...you will know my...POWER! You black out ______________________________ You suddenly awaken to the feeling of somebody violently shaking you. "DAIKON, DAIKON!" You hear a familiar voice shout. "Stop it Kairi. Look, he's coming two." "Give him some air! Daikon, are you okay?!" Your vision slowly begins to return to you, and you now see your teammates looking over you, clearly concerned. Your head is resting on Shin's lap. "I-i'm fine." You say in your bravest voice. "Did you get attacked?! Look at where we found you!" You quickly look around you and widen your eyes in shock. Snow and ice is covering every area 30 yards around you. Your body seems to be nesting in the exact center of this place.......did you do this? "Whoever did this to you must have been really powerful! Look, the whole river is frozen over!" Kairi points out "Daikon....what happened?" A) Tell them everything that has happened B) Tell them that you were attacked as you ran down the river by an unknown ninja. A ninja should always keep his techniques secret.. C) Say nothing. D) Other
"....Can I talk to you alone Shin?" Your teammates give you an exasperated look, as if they can't believe you don't trust them enough to say it out loud. Shin, on the other hand, only gives a stern nod. "You heard him. Takamura, Kairi, go back and guard the cargo. Daikon and I will be back shortly." "But Sensei! If he was attacked by a rogue ninja, we should know what happened too!" Kairi complains "I agree. He might still be out there!" Takamura adds Shin, however, wont budge on this subject. He simply points his finger back towards the caravan, and they both grudgingly leave. "Master...I." "Wait." Shin says as he puts a finger at your mouth. He then pulls out a scroll from his bag and places it between his hands. He forms a sleight of seals too fast for you to keep up with. You see the scroll glow, and then float and open in front of you. After a few seconds, you feel yourself being pulled into the scroll and then disappear with a poof. ___________________________ You reappear in a dark, dusky cavern. You hear the sound of water dripping far away from you....Shin appears moments later. "Where are we?" You ask incredulously "A tunnel many miles underground. Nobody will overhear us here. My old days in the ANBU interrogation squad can attest to that." He says blankly "Is....all of this necessary?" You say as you look around you. "Unfortunately we can never be too careful. Kairi and Takamura were trying to eavesdrop on us....I need to teach them how to do it correctly one day." He says with a smile. You say nothing. You feel a small lump in your throat from the guilt of not telling them....but you really think this has to be confidential. "Lets get straight to the point then. I looked around the area where you collapsed....you were straight in the middle of it. Did...did you do all of this Daikon?" He asks sternly "I don't know sensei." You say honestly. "I looked up your file Daikon; I even looked up your mothers. There's nothing in there with you having a bloodline limit, so how did you do it? Is this a power on your father's side or something?" You shake your head violently at that accusation. Your father didn't have the balls to leave you a last name, let alone a bloodline limit. "Then....I think we should go over everything that has happened.
You spend the next twenty minute detailing every little thing that has happened. From your battle with Haku to the strange orb that came out after you killed him. You suggest to him that you must have somehow..."stolen" his power, and that your bow must have something to do with it. Shin thinks for a minute before abruptly lifting up your shirt. Both you and him see a strange, complicated seal engraved in your stomach. The kata's are far beyond your knowledge, but you can make out small whirl in the middle....it has one black star. "That's...an amazing story." Shin says slowly as he looks studiously at the seal. "It's not a story, it's the truth." You say harshly. Shin nods at your statement before putting down your shirt. "I'm not saying I don't believe you Daikon, far from it. A horrifying technique like this...it wouldn't be above the Fuma clan. How they managed to do this though, is incredible. Seals far beyond my knowledge." "So...are we going to tell the Tsuchikage after we back?" Shin thinks for a moment, but then shakes his head. "Knowing him, he'd probably lock you up in the Anbu headquarters and try to replicate this seal. No...it's best this remains OUR little secret....you understand?"

"You mean don't tell Takamura or Kairi?" "Yes. Atleast not until I get further information on this seal. It's odd really...the Kata's were made strong enough to seal a bijyuu." He says in awe. "So...are we going to go back now?" "Well, that's your choice really." You look at him confusedly. "This place is more than just my personal hang-out Daikon. You see these tunnels?" He says pointing around him. You nod. "I created these many years ago when I was first learning Doton's. My...master locked me in here until I finally mastered them." "What?!" Shin nods and gives a little smile. "It's my fault really, after two months of zero progress, he poofed me in here and said this was the only way I would learn. He then left me here alone for six months....scary man he was, even before he became the Tsuchikage." "The Tsuchikage was your teacher?!" "Yes...but that is a story for another time. I can let you stay here for a little while, long enough so you can try and learn how to use your new power." "How long will I be here?" "Hmm....i'll visit once in a while to check on you, but you'll probably be here for atleast 6 months. We need you for the Chunin exams afterall!" "And if I decide against it?" "Then you'll rejoin the team, and well just keep doing missions until the exams come up." He says blanky A) Stay here and train B) Go back
"I'll stay here. I feel like I need to learn how to use this power.....or I might black out again." Shin nods at your statement. "I agree, but before you begin training we have to make one thing clear." He says as he pulls out a piece of paper. "Do you know what this is?" You raise your eyebrow at that childish question. "Of course I do, we were forced to put our chakra into that the first day of Academy. it shows our chakra type....and you should already know that my paper will crumble." You say a little pretentiously. He of all people should know that you have earth chakra. "I know, I know, but I just want to make sure. Now pour your chakra into it." You give a small sigh before taking the paper and following his instruction. To your shock, the paper does something completely different! The paper vanishes before you can even see what happened "W-what did it just do?!" You ask incredulously "It was a little hard to see...but I believe it turned into dirt, split in half, and then dissolved all at the same time. It seems your chakra is not only earth, but water and wind as well.....assuming I didn't miss anything else." "How did this happen?!" Shin laughs at the disbelief in your face. He then puts his hands on his hips. "I don't know, but i'm certain your seal has something to do with it. It seems your training will be a little more complicated than I thought. If I remember correctly, Ice is created by mixing wind and water, so you'll have to be proficient in both of them before you can fully master it. Good luck!" And with that Shin disappears in a puff of smoke "Well....might as well get started." _____ How will you spend the next six months? Set an amount of time next to whatever you want to consider. Things you might want to consider, A. Taijutsu B. Wind Manipulation C. Water Manipulation D. Earth Manipulation E. Stamina/Chakra pool F. Genjutsu
You spend the first month working on your stamina and chakra pool. Afterall, now that you have FOUR chakra types, it's impertinent that you have the stamina to use them effectively. To do this, you spend every day running down deeper and deeper into the tunnel. Shin must have needed a lot of practice in his youth, it took you almost three weeks to reach the end of it. You notice, however, that this has certainly improved your stamina, because it only takes a week and a couple days to backtrack to your original position. _____________ You spend the next two months working on your wind manipulation. You notice that learning it was rather.....hard. It didn't require the precise position of water techniques, or the huge amount of Chakra of Earth techniques; it was almost supposed to be......instinctive. Because of this change, it took you almost a month before you could finally create a usable wind technique. After that, however, you noticed that learning how to manipulate wind became MUCH easier. You were even able to learn a second technique before the two months ended. A) Learn two offensive wind Technique B) Learn two Supplementary/ Defensive wind Techniques __________________ The next 15 days was spent solely on reviewing your water techniques. You notice that you've been neglecting them somewhat, focusing entirely on only your Earth techniques. To your amazement, you havn't "rusted" at all, and in only fifteen days, you managed to learn an entirely new water technique......not bad. A) Learn an Offensive water Technique B) Learn a defensive water technique C) Learn a supplementary Water technique ___________________ The next two months was dedicated entirely on trying to master your new "ice" element. Unsurprisingly. this was incredibly difficult, afterall, you ARE mixing two elements together. It takes you over a month just to be able to consciously manipulate it, and even then it's nowhere near the amount needed to actually form a technique. After another week, however, you realize that your ice manipulation is finally proficient enough to learn a technique. The question is, what kind of techniques do you want to learn? Will you try to emulate Haku's "mirror" style? Or will you try to create your own, original one? A) Try to emulate Haku's Style (80%) B) Try to create your own unique style (70%)
You smile vividly as you observe the fruits of all your training. First, you examine the two wind releases you have learned. Instead of focusing on offense, you decided on learning how to use them to best suit your style of fighting. The techniques you learned, did that VERY well. The first technique you learned is, atleast you think, rather unique. By focusing wind chakra directly onto your feet, you can expel it with each step you make, boosting your speed to incredible levels. Not only that, but the sheer speed of your run leaves a gale of wind behind you, making it almost impossible for them to intercept you from behind. Unfortunately, sustaining this technique requires a great deal of chakra, and you move too fast to attack with your bow or other techniques. Luckily, you figure you'll only use this when your opponent has gotten dangerously close to you. Naturally, you call this technique "Wind Walk." The second technique you learned is also rather useful. Using your wind chakra, you can create a clone incorporated purely of it. Not only is it corporeal and able to attack, (With only ninja tools as of now) but when it is destroyed, it covers a 3 meter area with a violent, inescapable whirlwind. You figure if your clone can get close enough to an enemy, it can trap him with this effect. Unfortunately, your clone only seems to be able to use wind techniques, and the only other one you know is Wind Walk. Luckily, this makes for a quite effective suicide-charger. You call this technique Wind Bunshin. Next, you observe the new Water Technique you have learned. By focusing Water Chakra into your fingers, you can cause them to extend over 40 meters to your target, encompassing them into a tendril of water. Not only can this cause a high amount of blunt force trauma, but you can also use it to restrain (and possibly crush) your enemies, all for a reasonable amount of Chakra. The only downside of this technique, is that you only have one free arm when using this, making it quite ineffective against a large group of enemies. Still, you decide to incorporate this into your fighting style, and call it Water Whip. Finally, and probably most impressively, you review what you learned from your Ice Manipulation training. You decided NOT to emulate Haku's previous style of fighting, and instead try to learn your own unique style. The first technique you learned is devoted entirely for reconnaissance. By using your ice chakra, you can create a mirror that "scrys" wherever you want to see. If that's not good enough, you can even "enter" the mirror and reappear wherever you scryed! Unfortunately, the amount of chakra needed to scry greatly increases based on the distance, and even more is required to "teleport" yourself there. For now, you assume that you can probably only scry about 100 meters around you. You call this technique "Ice Scrying."

After 5 months and fifteen days, Shin finally appears. "Wow Daikon, you look MUCH stronger!" You only smile at his comment. The power boost and extended periods of isolation has left you somewhat cocky. "Of course, are you here to take me back?" You say blankly "Actually....no. I've come to pump some taijutsu skills into you these last fifteen days. Knowing you, you probably forgot about it, and spent the whole time working solely on ninjutsu." You blush slightly at his accurate observation. "....maybe." Shin only smiles at your meekness. He then places a Kunai in your hands. "I can teach you my personal style. It focuses on fast, quick attacks coupled with constant movement. Practitioners of this style often use a Kunai as well, since it fits so perfectly with our techniques. Admittedly though, it's not the best type of style, and often we have to rely on ninjutsu to supplement our damage." You feel the kunai in your hand. "I can teach you some other styles as well if you want. I know another which focuses on grabs and reversals, and one that focuses on strong forms and powerful strikes. Unfortunately, I can probably only teach you the basics of those.....I'm not that good at them either." A) Learn the Kunai fighting style B) Learn the grapping fighting style C) Learn the powerful fighting style. D) Forget about taijutsu, ask him to teach you how to maximize distance between your enemies and how to dodge.
"Teach me your personal style. Anything's better than nothing." You say with a shrug. Shin gives you a funny look at your comment, but then nods and reforms his smile. "Alright Daikon, first things first. We have to teach you how to properly hold a kunai!" ________________________ The next fifteen days were spent solely on learning this taijutsu style. Shin wasn't kidding when he said this style focused on constant motion, there was hardly any technique that didn't require you to run, jump, or dodge in SOME manner. Another anomaly about this style is that your left hand is almost never used. "The free hand is what makes this style so versatile. I could use it to give a free cheap-shots, grapple my opponents, etc. Most people, however, use the free hand to do ninja techniques." Shin explains. "Wait, what? How can you do techniques with only one hand?" You ask in surprise "Practitioners of this style are versed with single handed seals. It allows them to create deadly ninjutsus, but not sacrifice close-combat in the process. Unfortunately, learning how to do single-handed seals is an art by itself; I don't have time to teach you them right now. Instead, I'll just try to teach you the basics." To your surprise, you managed to learn this form quite easily; you even managed to incorporate some of your techniques to it. Shin even states that some people even use special blades that allow them to infuse their chakra into it, increasing their cutting power depending on their chakra nature. "I don't like to use them though. My Earth chakra simply isn't suited for those kinds of weapons. You, on the other hand, might be able to use them more proficiently....having wind chakra and all now." He explains _________________________________________ After the fifteenth day, Shin finally ends your training in the midst of a furious spar. Your kunai falls to the ground, and your butt soon joins it as well. You are exhausted. Shin, on the other hand, is showing no signs of fatigue at all. Instead, he places his hands on his hips and gives you his famous goofy smile. "Well..you advanced much faster than I thought. Perhaps taijutsu isn't a lost cause after all!" He says excitedly You nod in agreement. Even YOU are surprised at your progression......of course you didn't have that high expectations. "Yeah..when...is....the....exams?" You say exhaustedly. These last few days have been torture for your stamina. Shin looks at the watch on his wrist, and then pulls out a piece of paper. After a few seconds of thinking, he finally makes an "oh" shape with his mouth and slaps his forehead. "In about six hours." He says meekly. CHAPTER ONE COMPLETE Saga Reward: A) One continue (You currently have zero) B) One technique (Give a preexisting one, or create your own one. Of course, it needs to be in the realm of his ability.) C) One point in any stat. D) The ability to do one-handed seals. (Note, you will be slow at it until you work on it.) E) Best Choice (Once a battle, I'll tell you the best choice during a turn.)
"SIX HOURS?! BUT THE EXAMS ARE IN KONOHA THIS YEAR!" You scream at him. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He says scratching the back of his head. "Well never make it in time!" You complain. "Psh, who do you take me for? An idiot?" Shin says sarcastically It takes all of your willpower not to answer that rhetorical question "Look, I can take us to the village border right now. Then if we run as fast as we can, well probably be there in say.......five and a half hours?" "What are we waiting for then?!" You ask impatiently "Well...you actually have a second option, coming straight from the Tscuhikage too." You look at him curiously, why would the Tsuchikage want to speak to YOU? "The Tsuchikage has taken a great deal of interest in you ever since our last mission, he has invited you to join Iwagakure's ANBU squad....as a junior recruit of course." "Why the hell would he be interested in me? All I did was get my ass kicked by a missing-nin!" "Honestly....I'm not too sure either. But I think he somehow found out about your.....new power. The man has a knack for finding confidential information like that." "..How could he have known? You isolated me almost immediately after." Shin shrugs at your question "I can see only two possibilities. One, he sent a few sentries to supervise us during the mission, and they saw something they shouldn't. Or two, he was spying on you during your training in here. Either way, it's pretty clear he knows." Shin says with a sigh You both remain silent for a second. "So what happens if I accept his offer?" "Then you will be taken out of my team and reassigned to a veteran ANBU member. From there, you will automatically be granted the rank of Chunin and serve a 3 year apprenticeship with your new mentor. After that is finished, you will have a final examination proctored by the Tsuchikage to determine whether or not you are worthy of fully joining the ANBU. If you pass, you will automatically be given the title of both ANBU Captain and Jounin." "Wow....." You say in awe. If you fulfill this program, you could be a Jounin by the age of 14! "This program is reserved for only the absolute best Daikon. It's rare for a Chunin to be accepted into this, and almost unheard of for a Genin to be! You would learn much from this.....but it would be a shame to lose you." You suddenly feel guilty about your excitement. "Whatever you decide Daikon i'm behind you 100%, as both a mentor and friend. I need to know your decision now though. I already have a substitute that will take your place during the exams if you choose to do it." A) Accept the Tsuchikage's invitation B) Stay in Team Shin
After a few minutes of thinking, you finally make your decision. While you would have liked to spend more time with your teammates.....it wouldn't be fair if you allowed them to hold you back. You then suddenly remember all the promises you made to the village. "A shinobi must never show attachment." You think to yourself sadly. "If I ever want to help my village, REALLY help it...I must attain a position of power. This path is the best one to reach that goal.....the path to become Tsuchikage." Your introspection is abruptly interrupted by Shin. "I can see it in your eyes Daikon; the iron resolve that once made our Village feared throughout the world. You're going to take the offer aren't you?" You nod your head sternly. "Yes sensei." "I am no longer your master Daikon, so you can drop the formalities. Were colleagues now right?" Shin says as he puts his hand out. You give a wide smile before clutching his hand and shaking it. "Welcome to our ranks." Shin says stoically _____________________________________ After you made your decision, Shin reverse summoned you back to Iwagakure. Its been almost a year since you last arrived here.....nothing has changed. The streets are still littered with beggars and the buildings show no sign of ever being repaired.....how can a village function like this?! "Go report to the Tsuchikage Daikon. I'm going to go to Konoha to proctor the Chunin exams now." He says blankly. "Wish them luck for me, and tell them....i'm sorry." You say before hugging Shin. As much as you hate to admit this, you're going to miss him. Shin laughs before pushing you away and placing his hands on your shoulder. "They'll understand Daikon. Even though your off to bigger and brighter things, you're still part of Team Shin in spirit." You nod at his statement, trying your best not to cry. "Well, I'll see you later CHUNIN." Shin says with a smile before disappearing in a puff of smoke. With him gone, you give a small sigh before making your way towards the Kage tower. _____________________________________ "State your name and business." The tough-looking shinobi guarding the door says to you. He is wearing a weird animal mask and is gripping a tanto with his right hand. "My name is Daikon. I was summoned here by the Tsuchikage himself." You say bluntly. The man looks at you skeptically for a minute before finally nodding. "Wait here." He says intimidatingly before going inside the tower and shutting the door in your face. You wait for what must have been 10 minutes before the door finally reopens and somebody walks out. It's the same ninja. "The Tsuchikage is expecting you now. I apologize for the delay." He says as he steps aside and motions you to walk in. "It's no problem." You say blankly before walking inside the tower.
The interior of the tower is certainly much more magnificent than the exterior. The moment you are walked you, are covered with what must be millions of dollars worth of art. There are three large, bronze statues of men wearing Kage attire....these must have been the Tsuchikage's of the past. Not only that, but their is a beautiful artesian well in the center of the room. The many bureaucrats here seem not to care about your presence. They simply work on the mounds of paper on their desk and once-in-a-while yell for something to be done. "I hate bureaucrats" You think to yourself. "The Tsuchikage's office is on the third floor. Please report to him immediately." The ninja behind you says before going back to his post outside the tower. "Well....might as well get this over with." You say as you begin walking up the flight of stairs. ___________________________ You finally enter the double door to the Tsuchikage's room. The small, old man seems not to have noticed your presence. He doesn't even bother to lift his gaze from the document that he is reading intensively. You decide that you must make your presence known. "Hello! I'm Daikon and I-" "Yes, Yes! I know who you are! Now close the door behind you so we can do this as quickly as possible!" He snaps at you impatiently. You give a small shrug before following his instructions. You then take a seat in the chair directly in front of his desk. "So, you decided to take up my offer eh? I swore that Shin would try to talk you out of it; he's been holding a grudge against me ever since I trained him." The Tsuchikage says without lifting his gaze from the document in front of him. "You mean when you locked him inside a tunnel for six months?" You say a little ruder than you had hoped. Your comment finally forces him to bring the paper down and look at you for the first time. His stare is truly terrifying...no doubt this man is much more powerful than he looks. After a few seconds of uneasy silence, however, he finally grunts and begins speaking again. "I'm sure Shin has already told you the details about the program. And the fact that you are here means you accept correct?" You nod silently. "Then from this day forth, I personally grant you the title of Chunin and all the privileges associated with it. I also grant you membership into Iwagakure's ANBU squad....as a junior member of course. Do you have any questions?" He says stoically. E) Ask Anything F) Nope
"No sir." You reply. You want to end this conversation as quickly as possible. "Good! I hate people who ask too many questions. The paper work for your promotion should be finished by the end of the day, and your file for the ANBU is now.....DONE!" The Tsuchikage yells as he stamps the paper he was observing throughout your conversation. He then wraps the paper inside a scroll and hands it to you. "Take this and report to the location listed on the paper. Do not disclose the contents of this document to anybody, and head there immediately, understand?" You nod at his command. "Good. Now leave! You've already taken enough of my time." He says as he dismisses you with one hand. ______________________ You spend the next 10 minutes heading to the location on the paper. Apparently, the hideout isn't even in the village, it's hidden in the mountains almost 40 miles from it! The trip would have taken MUCH longer had you not learned to use Windwalk. Finally, you reach the location listed only to find....nothing. You are simply staring at the side of a mountain. "God Damnit!" You yell as you punch the side of the mountain as hard as you can. "STOP!" Somebody yells so forcefully that you jumped in surprise. You quickly look in the direction the noise came from, and see three figures staring intently at you. They are wearing dull, gray armor and appear to be wearing what looks like a porcelain animal mask. The one in the middle is wearing a cloak. "What is your business here?" The one in the middle asks sternly. He must have been the one that spoke earlier. You say nothing. Instead, you pull out the scroll given to you and throw it towards the three figures. The one on the left immediately intercepts it in mid-air and lands away from the other two. The shinobi then bends down and slowly opens the scroll, as if it was going to explode. After a few seconds of observing it, the shinobi stands back up. "It looks clean sir." The shinboi says before returning and handing the scroll to the cloaked one. The cloaked shinobi takes the scroll and reads it carefully for a few seconds. "Daikon? How the hell did you get here so quickly?! The Tsuchikage said you left his office only 10 minutes ago!" He yells in surprise. You shrug at his statement. "He said to report here immediately, so I ran as fast as I can." The man nods before putting the scroll in his pocket. "Your punctuality does you credit young shinobi. We were about to set traps, and make it harder for you to find this location.....as a test of course." He says bluntly "Right....so I'm guessing YOU are the one I am reporting too?" The man nods. "Yes, and I will also be your master for the next three years. You may call me Aoki." "Yes Sensei." You say politely bowing. "These two are my personal body guards. You may call them by their numbers instead. 18 and 19." He says as he points to the left and then the right one. You bow politely to them as well. The one on the left, 18, bows as well. 19 remains motionless. "Follow me back to the hideout. We will begin the initiation ceremony right away." Aoki says before blasting off.
After about five more minutes of running, you finally reach the entrance to the hideout. The double doors were carefully camouflaged by both the natural landscape AND an extremely powerful genjutsu; you probably never would have been able to find it on your own. Aoki quickly opens the door by touching the door with his signet ring. "After you Daikon." He says as he motions you to enter. You quickly walk inside the hideout. ________________________________________ Not to your surprise, the hideout is very conservative as far as designing goes. The furniture is limited to only the absolute essentials, and even then it's rather lacking. The only source of light are torches hanging on the rock walls. You see many other ANBUs walking around the hideout, but none bother to acknowledge your presence. They all seem to be in complete uniform as well. "Why are they still wearing their uniform Sensei? Surely they aren't ALL on duty." You ask. "ANBU are never off-duty Daikon. We wear our armor even when we sleep; to make sure we are ready to be deployed at any time of the day." Aoki explains. "Do not take your membership into the ANBU lightly. Even junior members are expected to risk their lives regularly." 18 explains in an unusually soft voice. "We are the Tsuchikage's eyes and ears; the first layer of defense to all who hope to invade our village. We are the true protectors of Iwagakure." 19 adds ominously. You slowly nod at all their comments....perhaps joining the ANBU was a little too early for you? "Now follow me to my office. We will being your initiation immediately." Aoki says bluntly.
You find yourself in Aoki's office a few minutes later. This room is also decorated rather conservatively...it's almost bleak. The only furniture you see is a plain wooden desk, chairs, and a wooden file cabinet. Aoki quickly sits behind his desk, and you sit down on the chair in front of it. "First thing is first, we have to find you a suitable uniform. 18, if you would please." Aoki says as he motions to you. 18 nods before pulling out measuring tape. 18 then begins to measure you; while this is happening, you notice that 18's ANBU tattoo is on the right shoulder, while Aoki's is on the left.....why is there a discrepancy between the two? 18 then nods before leaving the room, returning a few minutes later with two boxes. "These are the best fit I could find sir." Aoki quickly digs inside both the boxes "Hmm....I suppose these will have to work. Here, see which one you like better." He says as he hands you the two boxes. You quickly look inside both of them. The first set of armor is dull gray. The armor is different than the others as it actually has pauldrons. You notice that the steel used in it is rather bulky, but of excellent quality. This armor would most likely be able to protect you from a great deal of damage, but it looks like it might slow you down too. The second set of armor is also dull gray. It looks much more like Aoki's though, there are no pauldrons and the steel looks much lighter. The armor is certainly much lighter and more comfortable than the first one, but it probably isn't nearly as protective. "Oh, and this is just an aesthetic choice, but you may pick which mask you like too." Aoki says as he hands you a bird, boar, cat, and bear porcelain mask. "Also...you may choose to take a tanto as well. I'm not sure if it would fit into your fighting style or not, but an extra weapon would always be useful." 18 says putting the weapon down in front of you. A) Take the first set of Armor B) Take the second set of Armor ___________ 1) Take the Bird Mask 2) Take the Boar Mask 3) Take the Cat mask 4) Take the Bear mask ___________ !) Take the tanto and incorporate it into your style @) Don't take it. Use a Kunai instead.
"Hmm...I'll take this one." You say as you point towards the lighter set of armor. Aoki nods as he motions for 18 to put away the other set. "I also want this mask....and I guess I'll take the tanto." You say as you pick up both the bear mask and the weapon. "Try it on. Your armor and weapon must be a perfect fit." Aoki commands. You nod before you leave the room and enter a vacant one. You quickly take off all your clothes and put on the armor. The armor is actually quite easy to put on, the first layer is simply a jumpsuit made of strong, high-quality fiber. The second layer is simply a flexible steel vest with a set of bracers and gloves to go with it. Finally, you put on the pair of strong, leather boots as well as your mask and tanto. Everything fits perfectly. You walk over to the stone wall of the room and put your hand on it. Using your ice chakra, you create a mirror for which you can observe yourself with. "Wow...I look pretty cool." You think to yourself. ______________________ "Very nice." Aoki immediately says as you walk into the room. "We will make an ANBU out of you yet!" "Isn't that what you said about the last one? You know, before he died?" 19 says with a hint of sarcasm. "Now, now. Don't scare him off on the first day! Come here Daikon, we have to tattoo the symbol on your left shoulder now." Aoki says as he motions for you to come forward. "Why on my left shoulder? Can I not choose to do it on the right?" You ask curiously. You hear 19 stifle a laugh. "Unless you want to be mistaken for a woman, I suggest you stick with the left shoulder." Aoki says rather bluntly. You quickly walk up to him and point your left shoulder. Luckily, the mask conceals your beat red face.
A painful 20 minutes later, the symbol of the Iwagakure's ANBU squad is now embroidered on your shoulder. "Congratulations, you are now officially a member of the ANBU squad." Aoki says proudly. "Does that mean we will begin training immediately?" You ask excitedly. Aoki shakes his head "No. In fact, I have a mission for you....a way to prove your worth." "Oh...is it another escort?" "It's an assassination." Aoki says bluntly. You recoil a little bit in shock. An assassination....that's a lot for a newbie! "There is no "grace period" Daikon. The moment you entered our rank is when you ceased to be a normal shinobi. We are held at a higher standard than most; we are Iwagakure's special forces afte rall." 19 interjects. "What he said is true Daikon. The details of your missions are here. And from now on, you will cease to use your birth name. You are now "17" and will be addressed to as such!" Aoki booms as he hands you a writ. You quickly open the writ. Gato, owner of the Gato Corporation, is to be the target of this assassination. Gato has been linked to numerous attempts to sabotage Iwagakure's missions, such as the escort of Boldwin Baldwin. His actions were done in order to retrieve a compensation for the mission's failure, a tactic that has irreparably damaged the reputation of Iwagakure. This man is to be executed silently and subtly, with nobody suspecting our village's involvement. Iwagakure CANNOT be linked to his death; this would cause a huge amount distrust from our customers. His head must be brought back as proof that the deed has been fulfilled. ~Tsuchikage "Gato hired Zabuza and Haku?!" You ask furiously. "Yes. You did good work back there, we managed to extract a good deal of information from Zabuza. Such as the fact that he will be in Konoha next week for a stockholders meeting." Aoki says sinisterly. You nod at your master's information before crumpling up the writ and putting it inside your pocket. "Konoha's security will be relatively lax thanks to the Chunin exams. It shouldn't be TOO hard to sneak through the border. From there, it relatively straight-forward: kill Gato." "I understand master." "Then go 17. Go and do not return unless you have Gato's head!" He says as he dismisses you from the room. _________________________ Immediately, you exit the hideout and begin running towards Konoha. It will probably take you about seven hours of straight running to get there...but you don't care. This is finally your chance to show that your worthy of becoming an ANBU....worthy of becoming the Tsuchikage some day. __________________________ You finally reach the border at dusk. It is a moonless night and you can barely see anything more than 10 yards in front of you, but you know there are border ninja's on the other side. Your armor is camouflaged perfectly in the dark, but you should probably cross this border carefully. A) Simply walk through it silently B) Use head-hunter and try to go through it underground. C) Create a Wind Clone, transform it into a bird, and see if you can find any border patrol. D) Simply wind walk through it. E) Other
After a few days of waiting, you finally hear movement coming from down the road. Someone is approaching you. Quickly, you string your bow and get into position. You carefully aim it down towards the road, and prepare for whatever is coming your way. "****ing kids! They couldn't send anybody BETTER to escort me?!" You hear a gruff voice complain. "Tell him to shut up Shikamaru! I can't listen to his complaining anymore!" You hear a feminine voice whine. "Hey old man...shut up." You hear a voice yawn. He must be Shikamaru "No respect at all...do you know who I am?!" The gruff voice shouts "Yes, you are Gato. AKA the old man who lost all his money once Naruto kicked your lackeys' butts and built the bridge." Shikamaru points out. " To be degenerated into a state where BABIES are talking back to me." Gato says sullenly. "UGH! Why couldn't we have just taken the Chunin exams like all our friends?!" You hear the kunoichi complain again. "You heard Asuma sensei Ino.....we were one mission short to be qualified." You hear another person say. "It was only one miss-" "STOP!" You hear the one named Shikamaru shout. You look down and finally see the people holding the conversation. A short, balding man is steering a carriage. He's wearing expensive looking sunglasses and a pressed, dark blue suit. This must be Gato. There are three shinobis around the chariot, each wearing a Konoha forehead protector. They seem to be in a 9-12-3 position around the chariot. The one to the left of the chariot is a bulky looking kid with brown hair. You can't really tell....but you swear he's wearing underwear on his head. Either way, he is now looking nervously at the shinobi in front. To the right of the chariot is a blond kunoichi. She now has a kunai in her hand and is also looking nervously at the shinobi in front. Finally, in front is a skinny looking shinobi with black hair and a ponytail. He is holding his hand up and looking straight forward You see that he is looking directly at the mines you placed about 10 meters in front of him....this kid is good. They are about 10 yards in front of the tree you are hiding in. What will you do? A) Shoot Gato immediately with your Arrow B) Cut the string and launch your Kunai trap C) Use a jutsu _________ D) Wait and see what they do next. E) Other
You quickly spring into action, cutting the string with a Kunai. Almost instantly, dozens of Kunai's descend on your targets' location. "****! Above us!!" You Shikamaru yell before rolling to the side. You watch as the Konoha nin's try desperately to avoid getting hit. By pure luck, Gato and Shikamaru managed to survive the attack unscathed, but Ino and the fat ninja were not so lucky. You see two kunais embedded in the fat ones shoulder and thigh; the blonde one has a single kunai protruding from her foot. "AGH!" You hear the blonde ninja scream before pulling the kunai off her foot. The fat one follows suit. You take this time to aim your bow at Gato, aiming directly at the heart. After all...they're going to need to identify his face. "Take this you son of a *****! " You say before releasing the arrow. The arrow darts blindingly towards Gato and embeds itself in his chest before disappearing. You see Gato fall off his carriage before blood begins rushing out the crater on his body. His sunglasses fall off his head and you see his eyes are twisted in pain. Your not sure if you scored the kill, but he probably doesn't have much time left. "INO! Get Gato out of here and try to tend to his wounds! CHOUJI! THE TREE!" Shikamaru yells. "I KNOW!" You hear Chouji yell. Suddenly, you feel something violently crash into the tree you are sitting on. You instantly lose your balance and fall off, landing squarely on your back and dropping the bow. Luckily, the armor negated almost all the damage from the fall. You see that the fat ninja's fist is what shook the tree, but it looks.....much larger than normal. The two Konoha ninjas look curiously at you. Your armor seems to intimidate them a little bit....**** they shouldn't have ever seen you! "ANBU?! What the hell are they doing here?!" Shikamaru yells in surprise. "I don't know, but lets focus on killing him first!" Chouji yells before bringing his huge fist up and slamming it down towards you. Shikamaru nods before making a seal you've never seen before....this isn't going well. CLUTCH MOMENT Free Choice: Chakra: 590
You quickly focus Wind Chakra at your feet and use your wind walk jutsu. The explosive acceleration of your technique leaves a violent wind behind you, knocking both Choji and Shikamaru off-balance. You quickly retreat a few meters from the two back into the forest. "Now to catch that Kunoichi...." you think to yourself before darting off towards the direction she went. _____________ You quickly find a trail of blood leading deep inside the woods. From the looks of it, Gato is probably dead, or dying, from blood loss. After a few seconds of wind walking, you find the kunoichi leaning his body on a tree and trying to bandage his wound. The sound your technique makes is like a violent wind. She quickly sees you approaching and pulls out a kunai with her right hand, trying desperately to protect her ward. Your speed seems to scare her, because her eyes widen before she throws the kunai at you. You don't even bother to get out the way. You simply tilt your head to the side, causing it crash into a tree. Before she can follow up, you quickly pull out your tanto and shove the handle of it in her face, instantly breaking her nose and knocking her out. You quietly walk up to Gato, you see that he is still conscious....and his eyes are now in absolute fear. The bastards actually crying! You quietly kneel over to him and whisper in his ears, "Give Haku my regards in hell." You say softly. You then slice at his neck with your tanto, cutting his head off in one swipe. Quietly, you take the head and tie it to your tanto's sheath...but your mission still isn't over. You look down at the unconscious kunoichi. She's not much older than you are and she looks.....innocent. According to ninja protocols, you should probably slit her throat now....but is that really necessary? Sure her team has seen you, but the only technique they saw was a basic Wind release. Not only that, but the ANBU uniform is actually relatively uniform throughout the different nations. Perhaps you can still pin this on another village? You hear the sound of twigs cracking and somebody rushing towards your direction. You need to decide NOW. A) Kill her and prepare to engage the other two B) Make an ice-mirror next to her, try to pin this attack on the Village of the Hidden Mist. C) Same as A, but don't kill her. Make a performance with your water techniques. D) Free
You decide not to kill her. You were only tasked to kill ONE person, another would only sully your honor and conscience. Still, you can't just simply leave...you need to pin this on another village. They've already seen you do a Wind technique, perhaps one more would convince them that you are a Sunagakure shinobi. You quickly form the seals for your technique. "Wind Release: Fuuton Clone!" A perfect, corporeal clone forms a few inches from you. You tell it to draw its tanto and pose as if he was going to bring it down on the Kunoichi's head. With that done, you quickly wind walk back towards your base, convinced that Iwagakure will not be pinned for this sabotage. _________________________________ About a day later, you are back in Aoki's office. You quickly place Gato's head on his desk and sit down. You explain to him everything that happened during the mission...including your decision to spare the Konoha ninjas. To your surprise, he doesn't take it nearly as bad as you thought he would. "Hmph. It probably would have been more prudent to kill all of them...but you did a good job covering up your tracks. Hopefully, Sunagakure will even be blamed for all of this mess." Aoki says bluntly. Aoki inspects the head for a few seconds before finally being convinced that it's Gato. He then puts it under his desk in a specialized container. "Good job 17. The Tsuchikage will be pleased with your performance; you've done a great favor for your village today." Aoki says. "What now master? Do you have another mission for me?" You ask politely. "No, no. You've done quite enough for the time being. I believe it is time to finally start your formal training." You feel a wave of excitement rush over you. Finally, you will get special-ops training! "I can give you the basic ANBU training. It's a specialized regiment that focuses on developing your skills all-around. Some members, however, like to specialize in a certain skill instead. The choice is yours." A) Do the basic ANBU-training (All skills >3 will be set to 3. You also learn some basic ANBU techniques) B) Focus on ninjutsu C) Focus on your taijutsu style. D) Focus on learning some genjutsu E) Free choice
"I think I want to work on my ninjutsu some more. I already have four different natures....might as well learn how to use them." You say with a shrug. Aoki seems surprised at your statement. He quickly reaches inside his cabinet and pulls out a file. "Four natures?! Your file said you were simply an Earth release user!" He says in surprise as he picks through your file. "Well....a lot has changed." You say simply. "Show me." He orders. You spend the next 30 minutes demonstrating all of your techniques. By the time you've finished your performance, Aoki is almost standing from his chair. Even behind the mask you can tell that he is impressed. "...Incredible. Not even the Tsuchikage has shown that much skill in so many different natures. You have the makings of an incredible shinobi 17." He says in awe. "It's' not that impressive sir." You say modestly. Atleast that's what YOU think. "Maybe not yet, but soon....soon we can turn you into a world-class shinobi." He says as he scratches his chin. You politely remain quiet as he continues fantasizing about your future career. "17! We will begin training IMMEDIATELY!" He says as he stands up from his chair. You nod excitedly. _____________________________ 20 minutes later, you are now outside the hideout. Aoki has led you to a deserted part of the mountain for your training. "First things first Daikon, what do you want to practice first?" A) Focus on my Water Release B) Focus on my Wind Release C) Focus on my Ice Release D) Focus on my Earth Release E) Focus on my Chakra control. (Skills will cost less Chakra) F) Improve my one-handed seals (Make them actually usable in battle.)
We chose F. After that, we trained, and had the opportunity to travel with Aoki to the chunin exams. We changed our uniform.
Within 30 minutes, you, Aoki, and the Tsuchikage are standing outside Iwagakure's city gates. Aoki is dressed in his traditional ANBU outfit and a long, black cape to go with it. Of course, he is also wearing his porcelain mask. The Tsuchikage is dressed in his normal “kage” attire and is even wearing the impressive cap as well. You are wearing a dull-green flak jacket over your ANBU jumpsuit. Because of your last assignment, which involved a well-planned sabotage of a Konoha mission, your superiors decided it would be prudent for you NOT to wear your ANBU outfit into Konoha...in case you are discovered as the true culprit. You shake your head a little bit at your new uniform. While your new Flak-jacket is much looser than the steel vest that went with your ANBU uniform, it has nowhere near the amount of protection. Not only that, you now have to reposition your tanto directly behind your left shoulder....a change that feels very uncomfortable for you. As you stand there silently criticizing your new set of clothing, the Tsuchikage stamps impatiently with his right foot. “If you guys are done wasting my time, I want to get to Konoha already! The brat will probably slow us down bad enough already.” The Tsuchikage complains. You raise a single eyebrow at the old man's complaining. Before you can say anything, however, Aoki quickly interjects. “Sir, I'm sure Daikon will be able to keep up with us just fine. He's far more capable than his age and appearance suggest.” Aoki says simply. The Tsuchikage only mumbles something under his breath as he looks at you. By now you are more than a little annoyed....it's time to shut him up. Subtly of course. “Tsuchikage sir, if you think I will be such a burden on you, how about we travel separately?” You ask in an innocent tone. Aoki and the Tsuchikage both turn their gazes towards you. “In fact, lets make this a race!” You propose excitedly. This seems to be somewhat humorous to the Tsuchikage because he is now laughing jovially. Aoki only seems to be watching from the side-lines with increasing interest. “Son, in my youth I fought against some of the fastest ninjas ever born. My speed was once unrivaled, even after Konoha's “Yellow Flash” emerged. And you, a shinobi who hasn't even hit puberty yet, is trying to compare himself to me?” The Tsuchikage says pretentiously. You shrug at his statement. “A lot changes between a span of two generations Tsuchikage. Who knows? You may be looking at the start of a New Age.” You say bluntly. Your comment seems to have enraged the Tsuchikage because he is now staring at you with utter contempt.
“Fine! If you think you are so powerful, lets do this.” He says angrily. You give a small smile at his acceptance. This will be the perfect time to test-drive your new, “improved” Wind Walk. As both you and the Tsuchikage are preparing, Aoki finally steps forward. “Tsuchikage-sama, if you must partake in this useless demonstration of skill against a child, I will only allow this to last until we reach the border. It would be unwise to wander into foreign territory divided and reckless.” Aoki says coolly. “I can agree to that.” You say. “Fine!” The Tsuchikage yells as he performs a few seals and begins....floating. You've never seen anything like it. It seems like the race is about to start. You quickly form the seals for your Wind Walk technique.....except it now has a slight deviation from the norm. It now: A) Allows you to “completely become the wind.” You lose your corporeal body and can now travel at incredible speeds and through objects. To an unsuspecting person, your running can easily be mistaken for the wind blowing. Unfortunately, your chakra becomes completely wind during this attack, and even a somewhat “weak” Katon can still do a considerable amount of damage to you. Also, because your body is not corporeal, you cannot use attacks during this form. This variation is best used for keeping distance from your enemies and traveling. B) Allows you to “completely become the wind,” although in a much more spectacular way. Instead of just becoming wind, your running turns you into a vicious cyclone which can easily scar landscape during your travels. Although your speed is slightly slower than the above, this variation is a much more powerful offensive threat. Unfortunately, your chakra becomes completely wind during this attack, and even a somewhat “weak” Katon can still do a considerable amount of damage to you. Also, because your body is not corporeal, you cannot use attacks during this form. This variation is best used for closing distance between your enemies and fighting multiple ones. C) An improved version of your previous Wind Walk. Your speed and Chakra cost is slightly decreased, and your incredibly fast movement seems like a “blur” to your enemies. Because you keep your corporeal form, you can easily couple your running with your tanto....but you still move way too fast for you to effectively use Ninjutsu. This variation is considerably slower than the other two, but is much more versatile. This variation can be used to both keep and close the distance between enemies....to a lesser extent.

Almost instantly you feel Wind Chakra envelop you. At first, it's exactly the same as your original Wind-Walk, but as you begin running, you notice you're slowly going faster and faster. You no longer feel anything and your body disappears into a powerful gust of wind. The feeling of your new technique is incredible; you feel so....free, as if the very idea of not moving in some way would kill you.
You quickly blast off towards the direction of the Iwagakure-Kusagkure border. The sheer speed of your technique is nothing short of amazing, you're moving so fast that the landscape around you looks like a blur. Within a span of only 10 minutes, you've crossed the 100 mile distance between Iwagakure and the border.
You immediately end your technique right at the tip of the border. Your body reappears and you feel very, very dizzy...to the point where you actually had to throw up. Not only that, your technique drained you of almost ALL of your chakra.
To your delight, however, you notice that you are standing here completely alone...you won the race!
“Maybe NOW he'll give me a little bit of respect.” You say with a smile.
_____________
You waited there for an additional 10 minutes before you finally saw something on the horizon. Two figures are flying full-speed in your direction; it's the Tsuchikage and Aoki. They both land violently in front of you.
“Unbelievable.” They both say in unison....although with a much different tone.
“Sensei, Tsuchikage-same, you finally made it!” You say with a goofy smile that would bring even Shin's to shame.
“Daikon...what was that technique?” Aoki asks in awe.
“It was a CHEAT!” The Tsuchikage complains. “That damn wind you created made it damn-near impossible for me to fly!”
You say nothing, but keep your smile.
“Let's hurry up and keep going. Konoha is still a great distance away.” Aoki sighs.
“To get showed up by a damn brat....” The Tsuchikage mutters under his breath as you all begin traveling into Kusagakure.
____________________
About two hours later, you finally find yourself in front of Konoha's great village-gate. Almost immediately, you are greeted by a pair of Konoha ANBU members.
“Greetings Tsuchikage-sama. The Chunin exams are set to begin in about twenty minutes. I am here to escort you there under the Hokage's orders.” The masked Shinobi says politely.
“Very well. How far away is the stadium from here?” The Tsuchikage asks.
“Not far, sir. We can reach it in about 10 minutes if we leave now.” He answers blankly.
“Then lets go!” The Tsuchikage orders. _____________________
The stadium is quite a sight to behold. Thousands of spectators are pouring into the entrance...but of course your party gets to skip all of that. As you are walking with the Tsuchikage up to the -kages' personal booth, you feel Aoki's arm grab yours.
“Daikon, I will allow you to go back and talk to your former team. Technically, only I am obligated to act as the Tsuchikage's bodyguard. I believe Shin is sitting over there” He says as he points to a row of seats.
A) “It's okay, I'll go with you and the Tsuchikage.”
B) “Thanks, I wanted to see them anyways!
C) “It's okay, but I DO want to see the other contestants.”
You suddenly feel yourself giving Aoki a giant smile. You've missed Shin and Takamura.....even Kairi a bit too. Besides, you're eager to find out how they've changed these past couple of months.
“Thanks, I wanted to seem them anyways!” You say excitedly.
Aoki nods his head before continuing up the stairs. You, on the other hand, begin almost sprinting down them. _____________________________
You make your way to the place where Aoki said Shin was supposed to be. Sure enough, you spot him instantly.
“Daikon? Is that you?!” He asks excitedly as he goes up and gives you a big hug.
You notice that his face has a new scar running across the bridge of his nose....what has he been doing these past months?
“Yeah, it's me! Where is Shin and Kairi?” You ask as you are finally let go by your master.
“Were over here.” You hear a familiar voice say.
You turn around towards the sound of the voice and see both Takamura and Shin.
Takamura looks much more different now. His lanky build has changed so that he is now almost ripping with muscles. His sword, Sandai Kitetsu, is hanging threateningly on his back. He is also sporting a new black-white jump-suit.
Kairi also looks much different. She has also developed some muscles these past few months, and her eyes show that she has been hardened by some of her past missions. Her red hair has now been cut short, and she is wearing her clan's ceremonial robe.
“Wow....you guys look so different.”
“So do you Mr. Chunin.” Takamura teases as he pulls on your flak-jacket.
“We heard all about your promotion. Congratulations Daikon.” Kairi says in an uncharacteristically nice tone.
“Uhh...thanks. How has the Chunin exams been?” You ask curiously.
You see both Takamura's and Kairi's eyes turn sad. Kairi clutches her right shoulder before speaking.
“It's been horrible Daikon. Two people have already died and we haven't even started the tournament yet!” She says in a somewhat shaky voice.
“I heard that Jinchruuki kid and the Raikage's son are responsible for it.” You say.
“It's true. Both those freaks are taking this exam way too seriously. Gaara killed your replacement without even giving him the chance to surrender, and E broke that Inuzuka guy's neck even after he knocked him out. I'm starting to wonder if anybody ELSE is going to have to die before the examiners actually take their job seriously.” Takamura says as he folds his arm.
“....your fighting E next aren't you?” You ask in your bravest voice.
Takamura remains silent for a moment, but then nods his head.
“Unfortunately, yes. The guy's a real monster....he can create this raiton shroud which makes him exponentially faster and stronger. Not only that, he's also quite skilled with the blade as well....his uncle must have taught him.” Takamura says a little nervously.
Before you can continue the conversation, you hear an examiner shout.
“Takamura and E! Please report to the center stage at once!”
Takamura looks at you before forming a confident smile. You know he's trying to be brave.
“Wish me luck.” He says as he begins walking down towards the arena.
A) *Watch the match*
B) *Take control of Takamura and fight E*
"I can do this, I can do this.." You think to yourself as you walk out of the tunnel and towards the center of the arena.
As soon as you step inside the ring, you hear a thousand different "boo's" coming from the crowd....ten guesses on who they bet on.
Still, you can't lose this fight, not when even Daikon himself came here to watch you fight.
You take a deep breath and continue your way to the center, stopping about 10 yards from your opponent.
Your opponent is none other than the legendary Raikage's son himself, and their are definitely similarities between the two. E has dark skin and is literally bulging with muscles, you can't believe he is only 11 years old. He has short, pale-blond hair and is sporting what appears to be sunglasses. He is wearing a tight, blue jump-suit that clearly shows his well-defined muscles. If that's not enough, he's holding his sheathed sword in his right hand threateningly.....this guy is strong.
E looks at you up-and-down before giving a wide, arrogant smile. He points at you with his right index finger before scratching it across his neck in a threatening gesture. You merely roll your eyes at him.
"Remember the rules, gentleman. Stop when I tell you to stop, and no arguing against my decisions, got it?" The examiner says bluntly.
"Yes sir." E says is a mock-polite tone.
You only nod your head.
"Very well.....BEGIN!" The examiner yells before jumping clear out of the way.
E smiles at you before clutching his sword with two hands. He violently pulls out the sheath with his left hand....so hard that the sheath flies into a wall and cracks it. The sheath hangs there, crackling with terrible raiton energy.
The sword is incredibly narrow and thin...it almost looks like a toothpick. Still, you saw first-hand how sharp this sword is......that poor puppy.
The crowd goes absolutely crazy at his flamboyant display of strength.....
"It's time I shut them up." You think to yourself as you calmly unsheathe your katana.
A) Wait for him to attack and counter appropriately
B) Fly in and engage him with your katana
C) Cast a jutsu ________
D) Other
Chakra: 500
You slowly unsheathe Sandai Kitetsu and point it towards him.
The crowd remains perfectly silent at this point...probably getting ready to cheer as soon as E speed blitzes you.
E doesn't seem intimidated at all, he looks at your katana as if it was just a harmless twig. He positions his sword over his back and gestures for you to attack.
You smile at his gross underestimation of your power....it may be your only chance.
You begin to wave the sword slowly forwards and back, subtly adding your chakra into it. E looks at your sword curiously at first, but you then notice his once confident eyes now look.....unfocused. He's already in your genjutsu.
"NOW!" You hear someone in the crowd yell.
Quickly, you shunshin directly in front of E. His eyes show that he is still unable to process that you are even here...excellent. You quickly grip your sword's handle with both hands and slash it directly at his neck as hard as you can.
*CRACK*
You hear the crowd gasp at the unmistakable sound of steel meeting flesh. You hear tiny droplets of blood dripping down into the ground.....but something isn't right.
Your sword feels as if it's stuck inside something....something very heavy and tight. You try desperately to pull it out, but it just wont budge. You look up at E and see that he is staring at you in utter contempt, as if he can't believe you had the gall to actually wound him. You notice that the cut your sword made is shallow, much more than it should be...and that is when you hear it.
The sound of lightning crackling begins to emanate from E. It's rather soft at first, but it soon grows louder and louder until it almost seems like a roar. He soon becomes enveloped in a pale-yellow shroud of pure lightning; the chakra coming from this technique is amazing. It must have been the reason why the force of your slash was mitigated.
The crowd goes into an uproar at the sight of E"s shroud, everyone knows he's now being serious. During their deafening cheers, you try desperately to wrest your sword out of his shroud.
E looks at you indifferent at first, but a maniacal smile begins to form on his lips. He grabs your sword with his left hand and effortlessly begin pulling it away from his neck. You try to wrestle control of it from him, but it's hopeless....he's just too strong.
He then brings his own sword up high in the air, as if he's going to ceremoniously execute you.
**** just got real
Chakra: 440
A) Let go of the sword and shunshin away
B) Use flying swallow on your blade, try to make him let go
C) Let go of the sword and cast a fireball right in his face
D) Other
Deciding that your sword is not worth your life, you quickly let go and shunshin away from him just as he's bringing down the sword.
You feel a sharp pain right before you reappear 10 yards away from E. You feel a warm fluid running down your shoulder; it's blood.
The crowd goes absolutely crazy at the sight of your blood. They resume their deafening cheers and yell "Finish Him!"
E holds up your sword right in front of you. He then clutches it tightly with his left hand, charging his lightning chakra into it....before finally throwing it at you. The sword darts towards you in an unbelievable pace, there is no way you can hope to catch it in the air. You bob your head to the side in order to dodge your own weapon, which engraves itself deeply into the cement wall, sparks still flying from the blade.
You quickly look back at your enemy.....only to notice he is now standing directly in front of you, his sword raised up in preparation for a slash. How fast is this guy?!
"DIE!" E yells maniacally as he brings his sword down.
The sword falls on you at an unbelievable velocity. Somehow, you managed to keep your head from that attack, but the sword still managed to graze your cheek...more blood pours from your body.
Before you can create more distance between yourself, you feel his left hand grab your mouth with an incredible grip. He raises you up high before slamming you violently onto the ground. You instantly feel all the air escape from your lungs, and your vision is starting to get fuzzy.
You manage to picture E holding what appears to be a huge rod of lightning in his right hand....and he's about to end this.
Clutch Moment
E) Free Choice
Still on the ground, you quickly form the seals for your Demonic Illusion genjutsu before he can bring...whatever that thing is down on your head.
His body abruptly stops and starts to twitch. His eyes widen in shock as he realizes he no longer has control of his body.
Your vision finally becomes clear now, and you realize what that thing he's holding in his hand is. It's his sword....except it is now charged with Lightning chakra. That sword would have most surely killed you had it made contact with you.
To your surprise, his body starts showing small signs of regaining control....his shroud must be weakening the strength of your genjutsu. Before he can completely regain control of his body, you quickly form the seals for your follow up attack.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
A huge orb of fire shoots out from your mouth. The orb instantly engulfs E and propels him into the sky. During this time, you quickly shunshin towards where your sword is.sticking from the wall. You grab the handle, and with all your might, pull it free from the cement.
*BAM*
You quickly turn around towards the direction of the sound.
E is laying on his back, smoke hissing from all over his body. He quickly gets back up and you notice he's a lot less damaged than he should be. His shroud is obviously the reason for this, but it looks...smaller than before. His face is glistening with sweat and his eyes are starting to show signs of fatigue.
"His stamina must be his Achilles heel..." You think quietly to yourself.
He turns towards you and his face instantly contorts into rage. He lets out a loud scream before his electric shroud explodes back into its normal size....a little bigger maybe. Something tells you your normal genjutsu won't work as effectively on him as last time.
"I'll....KILL.....YOU!" He hisses angrily
"If I can survive this...he'll probably be standing on his last wheel. The question is....how do I?" You think to yourself.
E points his sword at you. It instantly explodes with powerful lightning energy.....he's trying to end this.
Chakra: 440 - 50 = 390 - 100 = 290 - 10 = 280
Clutch Moment
E) Free Action
You decide that if you're ever going to pull out the big guns...it might as well be now. Quickly, you drop your sword and form the seals for your ultimate genjutsu attack.
"Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death!"
Once again, A freezes in place as he becomes a victim to another one of your genjutsus. Roots burst through the ground underneath him and begins to coil around until they form a huge tree behind him. He drops his sword as the tree violently tightens around him. You see the fear in his face as he desperately tries to force his way out of your attack....you don't give him the chance.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"
You channel the technique so that it stays ignited as it engulfs him
_________________
"Well A...it seems your son is having quite a bit of trouble." The Tsuchikage says laughing.
The Raikage does no look amused at all. He's clutching the arm of his chair so tightly that the wood is actually starting to crack.
"Damnit! I told him that he should've learned how to defend against genjutsu! And now he's going to lose to someone who is clearly his inferior!" A yells angrily.
"The battle is not yet over A. He still has a chance of winning this match." The Hokage says politely.
"However unlikely it is." The Kazekage laughs.
_____________________________
Even ten seconds later, you are still desperately channeling your fire technique. This last attack has cost all of your chakra...this has to defeat him.
After what feels like an eternity you are finally forced to end the technique out of pure exhaustion. The pure strength of your technique has left a crater in the middle of the arena. As the fire dissipates, you see E laying down on the floor, his Electric shroud nowhere to be seen.
The crowd remains perfectly silent at the sudden turn of events. They can't believe you've actually won.
"Finally....it's over." You say with a sigh.
The examiner finally reappears in front of you in a cloud of smoke. He looks skeptically at E for a second, and when he doesn't move begins to speak.
"The winner of this bout is...."
"WAIT"
Both you and the examiner look towards the sound of the voice.
E is slowly starting to get up, using the blade of his sword for support. You see that his body is shaking as he tries to stand up on his own weight....he's obviously weakened.
"It's....not....over." He manages to pant from his bloodied mouth.
The examiner looks at him skeptically.
"I've..never fought someone...who could survive my shroud. I want to fight him...as an equal." E says with a hint of pain.
The crowd goes absolutely crazy at his sense of new-found respect towards you. Even you feel a little warmer towards the man who tried to kill you. They chant for the fight to resume.
The examiner still looks at him questionably, as if he's unsure if E could even put up a fight anymore.
You know you are obviously less damaged than he is....but your chakra shortage is making you feel faint. if you continue the fight will be purely determined by who is the better swordsman. Is he really weakened enough for you to say that you could win? But then again....your honor is now at stake.
You look down at your Katana...
A) Pull it out from the ground, signify to the examiner that the fight is not over.
B) Leave it there, act as tough as you can and tell the examiner that it's over.
Deciding that a victory now would be worth nothing, you pull your sword out from the ground and point it at E.
"Examiner, as you can see...the fight is not yet over." You say confidently.
The crowd instantly begins cheering at your words. Some of them are actually chanting YOUR name instead of E's. What a wonderful dark horse you have become.
E looks at you with a new found respect. His eyes no longer show the maniacal urge to kill you now...he just wants to win. With a bit of strain, he points his sword at you as well.
The examiner looks at both of you before sighing. He then signals for the match to resume and jumps out of the way.
The crowd becomes perfectly silent as the match resumes. They nervously prepare to cheer for the winner to emerge...whomever it may be.
E begins to silently limp towards you, his sword raised up in preparation for an attack. You stand there motionlessly as you tightly grip your sword.
Still though, something seems very....odd. Your sword feels completely different in your hand now...you swear that your actually sensing its joy. Almost as if the sword is starting to become sentient towards you.
Sandai Kitetsu has awakened.
You suddenly feel the spirit trapped in the sword trying desperately to communicate with you. It says it has tried so many times, but you could never hear it....not until now. You feel its strong desire to win this battle, and the shame it felt the brief moment when it failed you against E. You calmly ask that it reveal itself to you.....and that is when you see it.
The spirit.... it's:
A) A middle-aged man with long, unkempt hair.
B) A manifestation of fire.....
C) A samurai with long, pointy white hair and large, red shoulder pauldrons.
D) An ice-blue dragon
E) A young man with long red hair and an "X" shaped scar on his left cheek.
Time stops around you as the spirit finally shows itself.
It's a young man with long red hair and an "X" shaped scar on his left cheek. He has a rather unimpressive build, but the aura he is emitting......you can tell he was a powerful samurai when he was still alive.
"You've done well to awaken me Takamura-sama." He says with a kind smile.
"W-who are you?" You ask curiously.
"I have many names....some that I am not proud of being called. You, however, may call me Kenshin."
You say nothing. Instead, you stare deeply into his eyes. They show signs of a man who has lived a very troubled life....but at the same time, they show kindness as well.
Kenshin walks up to you and touches your sword.
"Sandai Kitetsu.....I can hardly recognize it." He says with a hint of sadness.
"...Wait, you used to wield this?"
Kenshin nods sadly.
"Yes, but in my lifetime it was known as "Sakabato." Now....it has changed in both name and idea." Kenshin says as he shakes his head.
"What do you mean?" You ask curiously as you hold up the weapon.
"It was once a sword that shared my oath...to never kill a man. It wasn't simply a sword, it was an extention of who I was." He says longingly. "After my death, I could only watch hopelessly as the wicked degenerated it into a simple tool for murder. It has been corrupted by the blood of men....I cannot use it in this state. My soul will not allow it."
"In this state? You mean it hasn't always looked like this?" You ask as closely examine your sword.
Kenshin gives a soft chuckle before shaking his head. He then puts his hand on the sword.
"No....THIS is it's true form. This...is Sakabato." He says mysteriously
Your sword glows with a blinding blue light. After a few seconds, the light dies down and your weapon....has changed.
The hilt is now a black color, the arm guard now a stainless silver. Most importantly, however, the blade is now...on the wrong side.
"A reverse-bladed sword?!" You yell in exclamation.
"It has been many centuries since a worthy warrior has wielded this sword. I am now willing to be your companion, your mentor for the rest of your life. I can teach you techniques that allowed me to shape a whole new era, skills that once gave me the name Battosai....the Kendo of God himself. Under one condition."
You look at Kenshin curiously..what exactly would a spirit want?
"You must pledge right here and now that you will never take another life with this sword." He says bluntly.
You look at him with widen eyes. You can't exactly....do this.
"Kenshin, you know that I'm a shinobi of Iwagakure...I have to fulfill my duties." You say solemnly.
"I understand Takamura....but Sakabato wasn't made as a tool for murder. You will no longer be worthy to wield it if you turn it into one." He says bluntly.
A) Agree to his oath
B) Don't do it.
You grip Sakabato tightly before answering Kenshin.
"On my honor, I promise that I will never take a single life with this sword." You say solemnly, meaning every last syllable.
Kenshin looks at with a small smile, clearly pleased at your answer.
"Very well. Then let me give you a taste of my power.....the power to protect those you care about." He says stoically
Kenshin then disappears and time resumes its normal course. E once again begins moving, clearly towards you. When he is only 10 yards away from you, he loosens the grip of his sword and then instantly tightens it, erupting it with lightning chakra.
Do not be afraid. As long as I am with you...we will never lose a fight against another swordsman.
You nod at his Kenshin's voice. You suddenly feel an out-of-body experience; someone else is controlling you now.
This will be, but a taste of what you will be able to do....watch carefully.
With a yell, E charges at you with an uncanny swiftness, his electric-charged sword coming down on you.
Automatically, your body races to meet him. When he is only two yards away, you feel time slow down once again. In quick succession, you strike him in seven different body parts; head, left shoulder, right shoulder, left arm, right arm, left waist, right waist, between the legs, and chest. You then side-step his attack...all of this happening in a span of barely a second.
You then sheathe Sakabato as E drops his sword and begins to fall..
"Kuzu Ryu Sen." You say instinctively.
The crowd remains perfectly silent at this. The examiner rushes in and frantically examines E. You notice that he sighs in relief when he finds E is still alive. He quickly runs over to you and lifts your left hand.
"Winner....Takamura!" He yells in a booming voice.
The crowd then begins their deafening cheers.

You stand there in shock after witnessing Takamura's new technique. You're...not even sure what he did.
"H-how strong has he gotten?" You ask out loud in amazement.
"Who knows?" Shin asks with a shrug. "Still...I've never seen him do that last attack. What did he call it? Kuzu-something?"
"It doesn't matter. All that's important is he won....and will most definitely be promoted." Kairi says bluntly.
Both you and Shin nod in agreement. Kairi then punches you playfully on the arm.
"Come on, lets go congratulate him as he's coming up." Kairi says as she begins walking down the stairs towards the tunnels.
______________________
Both you and Kairi are now walking inside the narrow, dark tunnel, waiting anxiously for Takamura. After a few seconds, you spot a figure walking towards you.
"Wait....is that him?" You ask as you point towards it.
Kairi looks for a second, but then shakes her head. You notice that she is now releasing a small number of bees from her sleeves.
"No. It isn't." She says seriously.
The figure finally comes close enough for you to make him out. He's a boy about the same age as you, give-or-take maybe two years. He has short, red hair and is carrying what looks like a huge gourd on his back. His eyes are slitted and seem to be covered in mascara...he's looking threateningly at Kairi.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" Kairi yells angrily.
"I saw you walk down here and I got.....excited." He says with a wicked smile.
"Who is he Kairi?" You ask curiously, not taking your sight off of him.
"Gaara of the Sand, aka the bastard who killed our teammate." Kairi hisses.
Gaara laughs maniacally at her introduction.
"That weakling had no purpose showing himself in my presence. He should feel honored being killed by the most powerful Shinobi in the world." Gaara says calmly.
"Bastard!" Both you and Kairi yell in unison.
"Don't worry little girl. You'll rejoin him soon enough.." He says before bursting into a fit of laughter.
"I could kill you right now!" She yells as a plenitude of bees begin releasing from her sleeve.
Gaara stops his laughter and now looks at her curiously. The cap of his gourd pops out and sand begins pouring out of it...
A) Try to calm both of them down
B) Summon your bow and try to intimidate him out of a fight.
C) Attack with ___________
D) Do nothing.
Deciding that fighting in this tunnel will probably not be the best choice you try to defuse the situation.
"Hey, lets calm down now. You two will fight soon enough." You say in a calm voice.
Kairi says nothing, but she's obviously still fuming. Gaara looks up at you curiously.
"What's the matter, are you so weak that you wouldn't fight me even when you have back-up?" He asks mockingly.
You say nothing. Instead, you quickly Wind-walk through him and reappear behind him. You are standing back-to-back from him.
"Don't misunderstand me you freak. I could kill you right now if I wanted too....I'm just trying to be civil." You say without raising your voice.
Gaara recoils at your incredible speed. You hear the sound of sand rising and you instinctively Wind-Walk back to your original location. Both Kairi and Gaara are now looking at you in amazement. Gaara, however, quickly reverts back to his regular self.
"I suppose even the weakest of prey needs to be swift. If you honestly think that speed enough is to defeat me...then I will kill you as soon as I finish with HER." Gaara says before he disappears into a gale of sand.
"I'm going to enjoy killing him." Kairi says blankly.
"Antagonizing him might not be the best thing to do." You hear a third voice say.
Both you and Kairi looks towards the direction the voice; it's Takamura.
"Did I put up a good show?" He says with a coy smile.
____________________
As you are walking back up, Takamura recounts first-hand about his battle. It's actually pretty interesting....until he starts talking about a "spirit" inside his sword. He must have gotten hit harder than you thought.
"Oh, there you three are." Shin says with a small smile.
You quickly walk over and sit in the seat next to Shin; Takamura and Kairi remain on their feet.
"Whose fighting next?" You ask curiously.
Shin hands you a piece of paper, it's the match-up for the tournament. You quickly read the paper.
Takamura vs E
Shino Aburame vs Neji Hyuuga
Rock Lee vs Hinata Hyuuga
Kairi Kamizuru vs Gaara
Naruto Uzumaki vs Dosu Kinuta
Sasuke Uchiha vs Kankuro
Temari (Free. Will fight Takamura)
"The next match is about to start Daikon." Takamura says as he taps on your shoulder.
"I'm going to enjoy this." Kairi says laughing.
The next match was not nearly as interesting as the first one. The moment the match started, Neji connects with a flurry of...pokes. It must have been much more painful than it looks, because Shino falls down instantly and doesn't get back up...much to Kairi's delight.
The second match was a tad bit more interesting. The Hyuuga girl actually put up quite a fight, but Rock Lee eventually defeated her with an amazing taijutsu combo.
Finally, it was Kairi's turn to fight.
"About time." She says as she cracks her knuckles. She doesn't look afraid at all.
Takamura and Shin look at her a bit skeptically, but say nothing.
"Be careful." You say with a hint of concern.
"Thanks for your concern, but you don't have to worry about me. I have a plan." She says confidently before walking down towards the arena.
You look worriedly at her back. Shin places his hand on your shoulder.
"Don't worry Daikon, She's strong." He says with a smile.
A) *Watch the fight*
B) *Take control of Kairi and fight*
_____________________________
You walk to the center of the stage with your head held up high. Finally, it's your turn to fight...your turn to avenge your fallen comrade.
Gaara looks at studiously, a small smile curled in his lips. His right hand is shaking uncontrollably, and you can tell he is getting excited at the thought of killing you. You react by slowly allowing bees to exit your sleeve.
"-nd no killing each other got it?" The examiner asks.
Neither of you listened to a single word he said.
"FIGHT!" He says as he disappears in a cloud of smoke.
Gaara smiles as sand begins to rush out of his gourd.
E) Free Choice
You quickly begin your attack.
"Bee Scouting Technique!"
Hundreds of drones instantly pour out of your sleeve and rushes Gaara. You command them to surround him and try to find a weak point in his sand armor. The drones obediently commence their suicide rush.
Gaara doesn't take a single step from his original location, but he wills his sand to race towards you, killing a number of your drones in the process.
You quickly backflip to avoid the sand, but it continues to chase after you. The drones continue to try and reach Gaara, but a thin layer of sand always appears to block their paths. To your surprise, however, you notice a single drone manage to land on Gaara's shoulder. Unfortunately, it is quickly killed when Gaara crushes it with his hand.
"Atleast I know there's a weak-point..." You think reassuringly as you continue to dodge the sand.
Still, it doesn't really help if only ONE bee out of hundreds are able to pierce through his sand armor. There must be someway to slow it down....both his armor and the sand chasing you.
E)
Suddenly, an idea springs into your head.
"Bee Honey Technique!" You yell as you point your hands towards Gaara and the sand chasing you.
Hundreds of bees begin to pour out of your sleeve. You tell them to charge Gaara and the sand that is pursuing.
The bees instantly obey your orders and suicide-rush the two targets. To your delight, Gaara doesn't realize what they are doing, and he allows the sand chasing you to crush all of your bees. They instantly explode into a yellow, gooey substance. The honey inside the stand sticks all of the grains together, severely decreasing its speed.
"What?!" Gaara yells in shock.
The rest of your honey bees finally reach Gaara's location. Predictably, a thin layer of sand surrounds him as soon as the hundreds of bees attempt to sting him to death. You gently will for them to explode next to him, covering the rest of his sand in honey.
The effect was more than perfect...his sand armor has been completely covered in honey and is hardly capable of defending him now. You notice him struggling to seperate the sand particles.... It's time to follow up with your biggest attack yet.
E)
With all of his sand incapacitated, you opt for the Coup de Grace.
"Take this you son of a *****, BUG BOMB!" You yell as hundreds of bees pour out of your sleeve and charge Gaara.
The bees race quickly towards Gaara, and you see the fear in his face as he realizes what is attached to each and every single one of the bees' abdomens. You see him desperately try to cover himself with the sand. All of the bees quickly surround him. You clutch your fist and will all of the tags to explode.
The explosion created is absolutely deafening. Smoke soon covers the whole arena as every single one of the tags explode in unison.
You hear the crowd gasp at what must undoubtedly be Gaara's death.
It takes many minutes for the smoke to finally clear. The explosion has caused quite a large crater to form in the middle of the arena. You slowly walk to the edge and peer down, gasping at what you see.
You see a thick orb of sand sitting idly in the middle of the crater. The sand must be really thick if it managed to shield Gaara from your attack.
Still, you're not worried, hell you're actually smiling. You bend over and begin speaking to the orb.
"That sand of yours is truly incredible Gaara. I used all of my Chakra and I still couldn't land even a single hit on you." You say in awe.
Gaara doesn't reply back, but you swear you can hear him muttering inside of the orb.
"But judging by the fact that you're hiding in there like a little *****...I'm guessing you're on your last leg." You say mockingly.
He still doesn't reply, but you notice his mumbling has gotten softer.
"You're not the only one holding back demons." You say with a grin as you finally release the seal and allow its chakra to envelop you.

"What is she doing?!" Takamura yells in shock.
"It seems she was forced to use it after all." Shin says with a sigh. "I should have known better to hope she wouldn't."
"Doesn't she know they'll disqualify her?! That she's doing exactly what he said she would do?!" Takamura screams.
Shin says nothing at first, he only looks at Takamura sadly.
"Honestly, I don't think she cares anymore. Gaara made this fight personal, and you know how she is...she would rather die than lose now." Shin says with a shrug.
"Damnit...." Takamura says resigning.
"What exactly is she doing?" You say obviously lost.
Takamura looks at you sadly before replying.
"She's about to use her cursed seal."
You feel a rush of chakra invigorate your body. It feels different that your normal one, it's much darker and wicked....but also stronger as well. You see the purple tendrils begin to form around you.
"It's over Gaara." You say as you bite your thumb, pouring all of your chakra into this technique.
"Summoning Technique: Queen Bee!" You yell before slamming your hand on the ground.
A huge queen-bee instantly appears amidst the smoke. The bee is easily over 10 yards long, and is extremely bulky. The buzzing its wing creates is deafening...it lands next to you and patiently waits for your orders.
"Trap him." You say simply.
The bee instantly complies and opens its mouth. A thick stream of wax instantly shoots out of its mouth and quickly covers the crater. After a few seconds, the wax dries and soon dries completely You step playfully on the now-filled crater....its as hard as the ground around it.
You smile to yourself as the examiner appears right next to you, bending over and feeling the wax. Y
"Call it, examiner. This fight is over." You say blankly as you begin rescinding the seal. The Bee obediently stands next to you.
The examiner thinks for a minute before sighing.
"I'm calling it, the winner i-"
His words are instantly interrupted by a spike of sand erupting from the ground and piercing through his stomach. You quickly mount your bee and fly high into the air, before you suffer a similar fate.
"What the ****?!" You yell in shock.
You look down and see Gaara burrowing his way through your wax. The right side of his body is now completely covered in sand...it's in the shape of a demon.
"I'LL....KILL....YOU!" He shouts in a demonic, crazed voice.
__________________
"What the hell is going on?! Did he just kill the examiner?!" You yell
"He's awakened his Bijyuu! Why the hell aren't they stopp-"
You and Shin both abruptly stop talking as you see what appears to be...feathers falling down from the sky. You can't help but want to stare at them.
"KAI!" Shin yells before forcing the feathers around you to disappear.
"NOW!" You hear someone yell out in the crowd. You then hear a pained scream before the sound of steel connecting with steel soon surrounds the arena. You see almost all of the spectators have been completely knocked unconscious. What the hell is happening?
"SHIN! OTOGAKURE AND SUNAGAKURE NINJAS ARE ATTACKING KONOHA! IT'S AN INVASION!" Takamura yells frantically
"WHAT?!" Both you and Shin yell.
All of a sudden, you see a smoke bomb ignite inside the Kages' booth. Are they being attacked too?!
"Damnit, DAMNIT!" Shin yells in an uncharacteristically angry voice.
"Look! The Sand Jinchruuki is being carried away by those shinobis.... Kairi is chasing after them!" Takamura points out
"That stupid girl! Takamura! Go chase after her and make sure she doesn't get hurt! I'm going to stay here and help fight off the shinobis." Shin orders.
"Yes sir!" Takamura yells before blasting off.
What the hell are YOU going to do?
A) Chase after Kairi as well.
B) Your duty was to protect the Tsuchikage. It's time you followed them.
C) Stay and help Shin fight the shinobis.
"My duty here was to protect Tsuchikage. I have to follow them." You say stoically to Shin.
He nods at your comment. "I understand, but be careful Daikon....anyone who has the balls to attack a room full of kages is undoubtedly powerful."
You quickly nod before performing the seals for your Wind Walk. You quickly dash towards the Kage booth, hoping that you are not too late.
___________________
You reach the booth only to find that it is completely empty. Upon closer inspection, however, you see that there is a very large hole on the ceiling, and you hear voices above you. You quickly jump up.
_____________________
You climb up and notice that the Raikage, Tsuchikage, and Hokage are standing together. They are facing a pale, feminine looking man.
"-here is the Kazekage you fiend?!" You hear the Tsuchikage cry out.
The man makes a chilling laugh before brushing his long black hair out of his face.
"Do not worry you old fool. You'll join him soon enough." He says with an evil smile.
"You are a fool if you think you can beat us! You are clearly outnumbered!" The Raikage yells angrily.
"That is where you are wrong....." He says smoothly before quickly forming a combo of seals.
"Edo Tensei!" He yells before slamming his hands onto the ground.
Two wooden coffins immediately burst through the ground. The coffins immediately open up and reveal two different people.
One is a man wearing a red armor and with long, flowing black hair. The other one is very large with dark skin and a white beard. He looks very similar to the Raikage.
The kages seem amazed at this technique....even angry.
"You MONSTER!" The Hokage yells
"You always were too soft for your own good. THIS is the power you can achieve when you don't let the weak hold you back!" The man yells maniacally.
At that moment, two more shinobis come and join the man's side. One of them is a young man with white hair and glasses. The other is wearing tape to completely cover his face from the eye down, and has these two metallic "guns" on his hand.
You quickly run over to join the other Kages.
"You should've ran when you had the chance boy." The Tsuchikage grunts
"Where's Aoki?!" You cry out as you summon your bow and point it towards the other group.
"He's dead. That kid with the guns killed him." The Tsuchikage says sadly.
"Another cockroach interrupts my fun? No matter....his fate will be the same as yours." He says with an evil smile.
At that moment, you see a large, purple field completely envelop the rooftop you are standing on. They've sealed you in!

Who fights whom?
Tsuchikage Daikon Hokage Raikage
vs
Orochimaru Dosu Kabuto Third Raikage First Hokage
(One person will have to fight two people.)
Hint: Whom you fight will greatly affect your reward for this arc.....but it will also GREATLY affect the difficulty.
"ATTACK!" The Raikage yells with fury as he activates his shroud.
Instantly, all of you rush towards the five enemies. The pairing is almost instinctual.
The Hokage charges directly at the man with the red armor and black hair; the Tsuchikage charges towards the leader himself; the Raikage runs to fight both the Third Raikage AND the white haired man.
The area around you soon becomes deafened and destroyed by this crazy battle-royale. From your peripheral, you can see the Hokage shooting a rather large fireball at his enemy; the Tsuchikage flying high into the air with the Third Raikage and the white-haired ninja carefully avoiding his attacks, and the Raikage ostensibly destroying his opponent in close-combat.
And you? Naturally, you ran towards the son of a ***** who killed your master. You quickly stop about twenty yards away before shooting a chakra arrow that speeds towards your enemy. Dosu gives a small smile before jumping high in the air and pointing his guns towards you.
"Drilling Air Bullet!" He yells before shooting an incredibly fast and dense ball of air.
You quickly roll out of the way of his technique. The bullet completely punctures through the roof of the building, leaving a rather large hole in its stead.....that attack would've killed you had it hit. You quickly shoot two arrows at Dosu while he is in the air, both of which he easily dodges by doing a flip.
He lands gracefully on his feet, and then begins adjusting the metal guns attached to his arm. You notice that they start to make a loud, static-like sound now. He then charges at you at an incredibly fast speed....is he a taijutsu specialist?
E) Free Action
You quickly Wind-Walk and reappear behind him.
Dosu seems impressed at your speed because he abruptly stops after losing sight of you. He looks around frantically trying to find you.
Perfect.
You quickly form the one-handed seals for your technique and perfectly mold your chakra.
"Earth Release: Mud Dragon!" You shout at the top of your lungs
Instantly, a large brown dragon forms in front of you; it charges towards Dosu at an incredible velocity. Dosu quickly notices the sound and quickly faces behind him.
"AGHH!" He yells in pain as the Dragon collides with his body.
The dragon carries his body in its mouth before slamming violently into the ground, releasing large amounts of mud all over the roof. You can't see Dosu's body.
You quickly look around to observe the other battles raging around you. All of them are focusing completely on their individual fight...you could probably score a cheap-shot at one of your enemies. You raise your bow and aim at:
A) Third Raikage
B) The pale leader of your enemies
C) The man with the red armor
D) The white-haired ninja
Chakra: 415
You aim your bow at the white-haired shinobi fighting the Tsuchikage and quickly fire. The arrow darts towards him at an incredible velocity
*BAM*
Your arrow violently connects with the base of his skull. Blood and brain matter gush out the back of his head as he violently collapses on the floor with a *thud.*
As you begin cheering, however, you notice something is quite odd. The Tsuchikage hasn't even noticed that you had killed not one, but TWO enemies already. Not only that, the Tsuchikage is still in the exact same place using the exact same attacks.......something isn't right. You quickly look around and notice the same anomaly is happening in the other battles as well. The Hokage and Raikage are almost lazily fighting their enemies, using the same attack over and over. They don't even seem to be moving from one place to another anymore.
Suddenly, you begin to hear the sound that came out of Dosu's metal arm. The sound is relatively soft, but you notice its getting stronger and stronger as time goes on. You catch a small movement under the mud about 10 feet from you.
Dosu instantly shoots out from the mud and charges at you.
"nokiadtifotuopans!" He noises in an uncharacteristically gruff voice.
E) Free Choice
Suddenly, it all makes sense. The unrealistic fighting going around you, the ease at which you disposed TWO Jonin-level ninjas in a span of about twenty seconds......all of this isn't real.
"A genjutsu....but when did I get caught?!" You think frantically to yourself.
At that moment, you remember the rustling sound Dosu's gun made after he adjusted it....could it be?
Quickly, you pull a kunai out of your pocket with your left hand. There are two ways to break out of a genjutsu, but the only one you can rely on right now is a deep, sudden pain. You take a deep breath, and then plunge the kunai deep into your thigh.
_________________
"GET THE **** OFF ME YOU BRAT!" You hear the Tsuchikage yell as you break out of your trance.
The battle you have emerged into is much different than the one in your trance. The Hokage is lying face-down in a pool of blood, a monkey fighting the red-armored man in his stead.. The Raikage is now struggling to fight both the white-haired ninja and Orochimaru at the same time. Finally, you see the Third Raikage slwoly crawling on the roof....his body has been completely destroyed from the waist down.
And you? Well, you are in mid-air, holding a tanto that has stuck itself right ontp the Tsuchikage's left shoulder, and a kunai that is piercing through your left thigh. You gently take the tanto out of his shoulder and the kunai off your leg.
"FOR GODS SAKES STOP TWITCHING IT!" The old man yells in pain.
At that moment, you see Dosu jump up towards both you and the Tsuchikage at an alarming pace. He extends his arms in what looks like an attempt to hug both of you....but you can see chakra focusing on his guns. He must think you're still caught in his technique.
Thinking quickly, you turn around and smash the handle of your tanto square into his nose. You see his mask turn red with blood as he lets out a painful cry. Not letting your attack end there, you quickly clutch him by the fur of his jacket, reposition yourself so that his head is slightly in front of yours, and dive straight towards the roof.
*BAM*
The speed of your falls create enough force to cause the roof to cave-in under you. You both land on the buildings hard wooden floor. Naturally, Dosu takes more damage than you and you find yourself on top of him. You attempt to end this by slitting his throat with your tanto, but he quickly shoots a small gust of wind from his guns. The chakra inside wasn't enough to do any real damage, but they managed to launch you off of him and into a wall.
Dosu pants like a dog as he slowly gets back up. You see blood dripping down from the top of his head, he's obviously hurt.
"You...think you're actually winning this fight aren't you?" He says in tired, angry voice.
"I'm not the one with blood gushing out of my head and mouth freak." You say bluntly.
To your surprise, however, he actually starts laughing.
"You are such an idiot. Did you actually think you could fight on OUR level? You got caught in one of my most basic genjutsus, and if thats not enough.....I actually made you attack your own allies! I was controlling you like a puppet." He laughs maniacally.
You suddenly flashback to the picture of the Hokage lying face-down in the ground.....could your arrow have caused that?! Dosu suddenly raises his right hand up.
"Of all the genjutsu types in the world, the most dangerous are the ones that work through sound. Using my chakra, I can manipulate ANY SOUND, and trap my opponents. I can even do it with a single snap."
He then snaps his fingers. You notice, however, that the sound of his snap doesn't die down like normal....it grows louder and louder and louder until it deafens the fighting above.
You black out.
_________________
Suddenly, you find yourself in a dark cave, the sound of a hundred different scratchings and whisperings coming from all around you. It grows louder and louder and louder until you want to tear off your own ears. You suddenly lose control of your body and collapse on the ground, but the voices just wont stop. You then hear the sounds coming closer and closer to you. You feel panic and suddenly start to sweat profusely, you're absolutely terrified.
You then hear a voice speaking from directly behind you....and you scream.
_____________________
"You were an idiot to think being good at ninjutsu was enough to fight on our level." Dosu says as he casually walks towards you, swinging a kunai in his hand.
He stops directly in front of you and looks down. You are shaking and whimpering like a little baby.
"Genjutsu really is amazing isn't it? I can degenerate you into this state with a simple snap of my fingers. Never underestimate your opponent...remember this lesson in the afterlife." He says in a pseudo-soft voice before lifting up his kunai.
Too bad he doesn't take his own advice. He doesn't know that the kunai you stabbed yourself with was laced with a corrosive poison..strong enough to knock you out of his technique. Your thigh is absolutely burning now....but that is a small exchange for what you're about do to him.
Now is the time for your counter-attack.
E)
You quickly form the one-handed seals for your water whip and point your finger at him. Dosu's eyes widen in surprise as he realizes you are no longer under his control.
"Good game you son of a *****!"
You shoot your water whip directly at his shoulder....with a slight deviation. You channel your ice chakra into the technique as well..creating an incredibly fast and long "ice spear." The spear instantly pierces through his shoulder blade, and the velocity of your whip allows it to go completely out of his body as well, making him drop his kunai pushing him straight out of the room's window.
*CRASH*
All of a sudden, you find it impossible to mold your chakra and your technique abruptly ends. Your ice-spear instantly melts back into water, and you hear the sound of Dosu's body free falling towards the ground 20 stories below. Your vision is starting to turn white, and you bend over and vomit all over the ground. You feel your whole body beginning to turn numb.
"****....that damn poison's getting to me." You say dizzily.
Quickly, you reach into your Flak-jacket and try to find something, ANYTHING to mitigate the effect of your poison. You feel a syringe and quickly pull it out; it's an adrenaline shot.
"It's not an antidote, but its the best thing I got." You conclude to yourself.
You quickly inject the syringe into your body, giving a short gasp as you feel the liquid enter your body. Immediately, you regain feeling in your arms and legs. Your vision returns to normal, and you soon find the strength to get back on your two feet albeit with a bit of effort. Unfortunately, the adrenaline can't do anything about your inability to mold chakra.....then again you were almost out anyways.
"The adrenaline will probably only buy me 10 minutes max...I can't waste anymore time!"
You quickly sheathe your tanto before climbing back up and rejoining the battle.
__________________
The battle on the surface seems to be going better.
The Raikage is now once again fighting one-on-one with Orochimaru; the white-haired ninja nowhere to be found. The Hokage is still down, but you see that the monkey is starting to overpower his opponent. Finally, the Tsuchikage is ostensibly winning a fight against the Third Raikage....how he got back his legs you don't know.
How are you going to reenter this battle?
1. Use your Tanto
2. Use your Bow
A) Attack Orochimaru
B) Attack the Third Raikage
C) Attack Hashirama
D) Run over and try to help the Hokage.
You look over towards the fallen Hokage. While he is in no condition to fight...perhaps it's not too late to save the old man.
You quickly race over towards the old man, dodging and avoiding the battles waging around you. When you finally get to him, you kneel on your right leg and begin examining him, the stench of his blood is overwhelming. You quickly find the source of all this blood, it's a deep puncture on his chest. To your relief, you can instantly tell your arrow was not the cause of this, the wound is much too small...barely a pebble in diameter. You notice, however, that the wound is incredibly deep, far enough to actually go entirely through his body. Luckily, he's still breathing....but his breaths are becoming shorter and farther apart.
"Damnit...don't die on me yet old man!" You yell at him as you pull out your first-aid kit.
You open the kit and look through all your supplies. There's gauze, bandages, sutures, a needle..etc. You realize that you don't have the medical training to effectively use any of them, so you quickly use an alternative; a blood pill.
"Eat this." You say before shoving the medicine down his throat. You then apply some gauze to both sides of the wound, in an attempt to minimize the blood loss.
You're not sure if he will survive your third-rate first-aid, but it sure as hell was better than nothing.
And that was when it happened.
You suddenly felt the bow slung behind your shoulder begin to vibrate. It then begins to slightly glow a light-blue color. You suddenly feel a consciousness entering yours.
Kill the old man. You hear a devious voice say in your mind
"What?!" You yell in shock.
The voice begins to laugh an almost child-like laugh. He sounds like an incredibly violent five year old.
He's probably going to die anyways, but if YOU kill him then WE get his power. It's a logical choice isn't it?" The voice says in an almost sing-song tone.
"B-but..."
Look, remember how much more powerful you got when you killed that Haiku or whatever-his-name was? Imagine how much more power you will get from stealing a HOKAGE'S soul. You'd be friggin unstoppable! He says cheerfully
You remain silent.
What are you scared of? Nobodies going to notice...they probably all thought he was already dead anyways. This is YOUR chance to capitalize on the situation, and you'd be an idiot if you didn't!
You begin to think quietly on what the mysterious voice is saying. While what this voice is saying is most likely correct, and that this action would elevate you into a new tier of power....what is the cost? Is power really worth this, "Faustian-Deal?" Could you really murder this man in cold-blood? Will your honor allow you to do this dirty deed?
You know that you could make an argument on both side....but the choice is up to you.
A) Kill the Hokage, it's in everyones best interest.
B) Forget it, this isn't worth the price of your soul.
After a long moment of thinking, you finally make your decision. You cannot bring yourself to killing this helpless old man, no matter what the rewards may be. After all, what is the point of power if have to lose yourself in gaining it?
"I won't do it." You say blankly before standing back up.
You can feel the consciousness's disappointment as you mutter your words.
Awww, why are you such a ****ing p****? Genkuyagero Fuma was never this soft! The voice complains.
"Well I'm not him!" You snap.
Fine, fine. If it will make you feel better, go ahead and ignore the chance to become all-powerful. He mopes.
"I think I have more pressing concerns." You say seriously. "There are still three enemies left and I can't mold chakra at the moment." You explain to him.
Hmm, it seems your in a bit of a predicament. Hey, turn around and let me see the enemies. He orders.
You quickly oblige and face towards all three of your enemies. At once, you feel the consciousness's surprise.
Holy ****! That hair....hes gotta be Hashirama Senju! And there's no mistaking it...that's the Third Raikage too! And over there...it's Orochimaru! My god, you've found your way into a friggin treasure cove! The voice shrills in excitement.
"Really? For some reason, I havn't been considering my situation as "lucky." You say sarcastically.
Well then your a fool! Don't you understand my, OUR ability? How you somehow managed to obtain that kid's blood-line ability after you killed him?! The voice yells in disbelief.
Feeling slightly embarrassed, you shake your head.
I dont believe it....you had the ultimate power in your fingertips this whole time and you didn't even know it! Son, you have the power of Dominance; the ability to steal the souls of your victims and take their power as your own! He says with an amused tone.
"How exactly will this help me?" You ask confusedly.
My God, are you stupid or something? Read my thoughts, I...CAN....STEAL....SOULS! And you see those two guys over there? They are zombies, Shinobis unnaturally brought back through a technique....literally just walking-souls. It would be almost TOO easy. He brags.
Suddenly, victory doesn't seem as uncertain as it once was. "How exactly do I steal their souls? If what you say is true, they're already dead." You say skeptically.
Normally, in order for me to take a soul, they have to be hit with at least ONE arrow....but you said you couldn't mold chakra right now correct?
You nod your head.
Then theirs no getting around it. I'll have to take control of your body and do it myself. He says bluntly.
"Can you really do that?" You ask skeptically.
Yeah, but you have to give me permission to do it. And you'll have to tell me which soul to take...I could probably even take Orochimaru's if you're feeling a bit lucky.
"I can only take one? And how would you ever manage to hit them, my body is about to collapse from the poison any second!"
Yeah, I can only dominate one soul every six months. Our seal needs time to slowly adjust our body to the new chakras. If we try to take any more, it'll throw your body all out of balance and they might actually battle us for dominance of your body. As much as I hate to admit it, we're going to have to let two of them go. And to answer your second question.... I will be able to fight with your body much better than you can. He says with a small hint of arrogance.
.....
A) "Fine, take Hashirama's soul!"
B) "Fine, take the Third Raikage's soul!"
C) "Fine, try to take Orochimaru's soul."
D) "No way am I letting you take control of my body...**** OFF!"

"Fine! Go ahead and take Hashirama's soul...he seems powerful." You say with a shrug.
"SEEMS powerful? Boy, in my time, he single-handedly created the modern ninja world, and was once revered as the second coming of Rikkudo-Sennin! It will be an honor ripping out his beautiful soul. The voice says maniacally.
Before you can change your mind, you suddenly see white molecules beginning to congregate on your face, until it covers your face entirely, blinding you. You suddenly feel an electric surge race through your body, and soon afterwards you lose control of your body. Suddenly, your vision returns in two thin slits....are you wearing a mask?
"Ahh...its been a while since I've last had a physical body, especially one this short and weak. Give me a minute to readjust." You say without knowing it. Your voice sounds much different, as if two people are trying to speak at once.
Your arms and head begin moving on their own. It examines everything on you, from your weapons, tools, gears, and even some of the scrolls in your jacket.
"Okay, I think I got this. Watch and learn kid." He says arrogantly before forming a sleight of seals.
"Ice Release: Nova Clones!"
Two clones immediately appear next to you. They are completely identical from you...except they seem to be made of a slightly lighter hue. He then flicks his left hand and your bow materializes in it.
"Go!" He shouts before aiming his bow at Hashirama.
All of a sudden your clones disappear in a violent gust of wind...are they wind-walking?!
"How the hell did you manage to do that?!" You ask incredulously.
"Don't interrupt me when I'm working!" He snaps at you, clearly concentrating on his bow. He seems to be muttering an incantation of sorts
Each of your clones reappear in front of each of your enemies. The Third Raikage doesn't even flinch before giving your clone a raiton shroud powered chop to the neck, which instantly decapitates it. You see your clone smile before bursting in a powerful nova of ice, completely fogging the area with snow. Once the snow clears...you see that he has been frozen solid.
"What?!" Orochimaru yells as he witnesses your action. He tries to create distance between him and your clone, but he instantly grabbed by the elbow. His arm instantly freezes solid, and your clone rips it straight out of its socket. Orochimaru gives a loud painful yell before being elbowed in the face by Raikage's follow-up attack.
Finally, Hashirama is the only one left. By now he has completely overpowered his enemy, and is now looking at you...completely apathetic.
"It's over." He says as you see an arrow beginning to form on your bow's string. It looks much different from normal....it's red and there is no point. It almost looks like crossbow bolt.
Hashirama quickly forms a sleight of seals and throws his palm forwards. Instantly, numerous giant roots sprout from the guard around you and try to coil around you.
"TOO LATE!" Your body screams before being enveloped by a mirror and reappearing right in front of Hashirama.
He then launches his arrow directly at Hashirama's heart. To your surprise, the arrow doesn't automatically disappear after it makes contact. It protrudes from his body and begins pulsing a dark purple color. Hashirama seems to recoil in pain at your attack...
Your body quickly forms a sleight of one-handed seals before lifting up his right hand...it begins glowing bright white color.
"Spirit Release: Soul Steal!" Your body yells before pulling the arrow out with his right hand.
Hashirama instantly collapses into the ground. His body soons begin peeling and breaking until it turns into a mound of dust and clay. Your body is now holding the arrow up in the air, it's glowing a bright yellow color.
"His soul.....what a beautiful thing isn't it?" He says almost adoringly.
Before you can answer, he lifts up his shirts and jams the arrow right into your stomach. As blood begins to flow out, your seal instantly reappears. The kata's suddenly form TWO starts instead of one....this must be your new power.
That...was amazing. You say in awe.
"Heh....everything I did was something completely in your realm of ability. You're a lot more powerful than you think kid....even if you'll never be on HIS level." He says somewhat softly.
You suddenly feel your stomach begin to violently chug. How will you dominate this soul?
A) Learn Hashirama's personal Mokuton style
B) Learn a different style. (Think Kurama from YuYu Hakusho)
You suddenly feel a warm sensation running down your body as you completely dominate Hashirama's soul. To your surprise, the process isn't nearly as bad as when you took Haku's soul.
"Good job kid, you're learning. And now for the snake..." He says as he snarls his teeth.
You see Orochimaru standing about twenty feet from your location. He's panting heavily, and his right stump is now seeping red blood.
"It seems... the insect was stronger than I thought." He says wearily.
"It's over Orochimaru." The Tsuchikage says as he lands next to you. You notice that he is covered in sweat and there is a trail of blood running down his nose. "The brat has thoroughly beaten you and you are outnumbered." He says seriously.
"Do not speak lies old man! I still have one last trick up my sleeve.." He hisses before wiping his stump with his left thumb.
"Raikage! Stop him!" The Tsuchikage yells.
Almost instantly, the Raikage appears behind him in a flash of yellow, his arm winded back in preparation for a hay-maker.
"Summoning Jutsu!" He yells before slamming his left hand onto the roof.
A giant snake immediately forms on top of Orochimaru and the Raikage. It collapes ontop of both of them, instantly caving the roof in. His body begins to crush the building one floor at a time. You find yourself falling with the building until something hard catches your hand.
___________________
"That sneaky bastard." The Tsuchikage grunts.
You are holding onto the hand of the floating old man and are suddenly back in control of your body. To your surprise, he's actually got a rock-hard grip. You look down and see that the building is now in ruins, the snake clearly dead from the fall.
"The Hokage and Raikage were probably killed in that attack....****ing damnit!" The Tsuchikage yells angrily.
"What about Orochimaru?" You ask
"Until I see his dead body on my table, I'm going to assume he is still alive. I just saw his lackeys escape as well.." The Tsuchikage says worrily.
"Shouldn't we chase after them?!" You ask in shock.
The Tsuchikage looks down at you and lifts a single eyebrow.
"I'm not sure about you kid, but i'm using the last of my chakra just floating here. Following them would be stupid." He says bluntly.
You remain silent for a moment before nodding in agreement. To your surprise, the Tsuchikage's face actually softens.
"I'm sorry you were dragged into this mess Daikon. If it's any consolation....you're probably the only reason I'm still alive right now. You did well kid." He says softly.
You say nothing as he gently floats both of you towards the ground.

The Prelude to War
It has been three weeks since the failed invasion of Konoha, and the ninja world has sunk into a state of chaos, mainly due to the increasing tensions between Konoha and Sunagakure. Sunagakure claims that they only played a part in the invasion because Orochimaru tricked them into believing they were only following the Kazekage's orders. Konoha, still grieving for their fallen leader, denies that claim and demands that they compensation for the damages to their village and the immediate surrender of Gaara, the sand jinchruuki.
Unsurprisingly, Sungakure refuses those demands, and have such ceased all diplomatic relationships with Konohagakure, exacerbating the tension between the two countries. In response, Konohagakure has begun militarizing their forces and are demanding that the other villages take a side in what will no doubt be the Third Shinobi War. Kumogakure, another village that lost their leader in the ensuing invasion, have proudly pledged their loyalty to Konoha and have created an alliance. In response, Sunagakure has created a three-way alliance between Kusagakure and to everyone's surprise, the wandering Fuma clan.
Many other villages, including Iwagakure and Kirigakure, have yet to choose a side in this struggle. Unfortunately, there is little doubt that they will be pressured into choosing a side, or become a target themselves.
"What a load of ****!" You yell as you fold up the news paper and throw it into a basket. You recoil from the pain caused by bending your leg even a little bit.
The battle on the roof top was more damaging to your body than you originally thought. The potency of the poison alone knocked you unconscious as soon as the Tsuchikage landed, and it would take 4 weeks for that and all your other injuries to heal as well. You've been bed-ridden at home ever since.
You remain silent as you try to find a way to pass the time. The continuing threat of war has caused your mother to join the security force along the border, and the house is rather lonely....with one small exception.
War huh? It seems there's a new one every generation....how exciting! He shrills in delight.
Throughout your extended period of rest, the bow has decided to make his presence much more known from now on...to your chagrin. He speaks to you almost every day and demands that you call him by his (supposedly) true name, Lilacor.
"Easy for you to say. You're not the one that's going to risk their life to fight it!"
Psh, I've already paid my dues kid, trust me. Besides, war has a tendency of bring the best out of people....at least in terms of power. Just imagine all the powerful souls you'll be able to fight and feed me with!
"You're making me out to be some sort of Necromancer!"
"Well, is your power really that much different from one? The power of dominance originated from perhaps the strongest necromancer of all time."
"But i'm not summoning spirits or creating zombies from my fallen enemies! Isn't that what necromancers do?!"
Lilacor remains silent for a few moment. For some reason, you feel like he's laughing at you. In time kid. He says ominously.
You feel like now is a good thing to ask about something, but what should it be?
A) Ask who the "strongest necromancer of all time" was.
B) Ask about Lilacor's past history....when he wasn't an annoying bow.
C) Ask about his previous owner, Genkuyagero Fuma.
D) Ask about when he took over your body, can you use that form again?
E) Attempt to learn more about your power of dominance. Are there any weaknesses or limits?
"Tell me about yourself Lilacor, before you became a....bow." You say curiously.
Lilacor says nothing for a long moment, it almost seemed like he wouldn't speak about it.
My life was pretty simple actually. I killed my parents at the age of five when they wouldn't buy me what I wanted. I learned necromancy from a demon at the age of seven, and.....the next few years are kind of a blur. All I remember is I caused so much trouble, an army was actually sent to kill me. Lilacor recounts rather sarcastically.
"You're a necromancer?!" You ask in shock.
Duh. Didn't you wonder why I know so much about manipulating souls and whatnot?
"To be honest, it never crossed my mind."
...I suppose I should have expected as much. Your world's sense of "morality" has pretty much put a taboo on my life's work! Who would've thought that I, the great necromancer Lilacor, would be doomed to be forgotten within the pages of history? Sucks, man.
"..What exactly is Necromancy anyways?" You ask curiously.
Oooh, its caught your interest hasn't it?! Lilacor asks excitedly.
"Explain what it is first and then I'll answer you." You say harshly.
"Fair enough. Necromancy is the art of communicating and manipulating spirits. A common misconception about our art is that it is limited to only raising and controlling the dead...a very small branch in our scope of power. At the height of my power, I rarely used the power of the dead actually....I harnessed the power of nature spirits instead. Much more powerful and less moody in my opinion." He says with a strange fascination.
"How exactly are you able to do all of this? Talking with spirits, raising the dead...it seems like stuff taken out of a story to scare little children!"
It's actually not that different from ninjutsu really; we still use chakra, hand seals, etc. The only thing atypical about it is that many of our techniques require a "ritual" before we can reliably use it in battle.
"Can anyone learn necromancy?" You ask.
Yes, but it takes an incredible amount of intelligence and willpower to be any good at it. The rituals required are also extremely esoteric and impossible to do....without a teacher of course Lilacor gives the last line a rather large emphasis.
You say nothing...you already know what Lilacor is going to suggest.
I can give you power kid....I could turn you into one of the most powerful necromancers the world has ever seen! Your strength would be so great that even DEATH would be nothing, but your personal tool. You would be able to directly communicate with the nature spirits of the world; earth, fire, wind, water...they would all be your powerful allies in battle! Lilacor yells impressively.
"...What's the catch?" You ask skeptically, but clearly interested.
Lilacor laughs a little bit before answering.
You're catching on kid....everything in the world has a price and this power is no exception. Necromancy is a dark, and unforgivable art. Many techniques and rituals require that you gamble your own soul in order for them to succeed...my state right now is a testament to what can happen if you make even the slightest mistake, and I count myself lucky.
You widen your eyes in shock at his warning.
And....I require a slight favor in return. He says in an obviously pseudo-innocent voice.
"And what would that be?"
It's simple really, I wish to be freed from my accursed state. You just have to promise to help me regain my freedom. He says bluntly.
You silently ponder whether or not to accept this offer. This is literally a Faustian-deal, but perhaps you can utilize this power in a less....corrupt way than Lilacor. It is obvious that this art would seriously compliment your power of Dominance, and the way Lilacor describes necromancy...it doesn't seem inherently evil. The art seems to be very much like the humans who practice it, capable of both great good and great evil. Still, you know Lilacor is holding something from you...not telling the whole story.
(This is a MAJOR turning point in the story, and will affect how Lilacor communicates with you for the rest of the CYOA.)
A) "Okay, teach me!"
B) "No."
After spending a good few moments weighing the advantages and disadvantages...you decide to accept his offer. While you are a little bit afraid about where this path can lead, you are confident that you will have the willpower to resist the temptations that come with such power.
"Very well, teach me the art of Necromancy." You say seriously.
You suddenly feel a wave of delight coursing from Lilacor. Your answer must have pleased him greatly.
"Good...GOOD! Now were making some progress! I can tell were going to have a bright future ahead of us!" He literally squeals
"When will we begin the training?" You ask curiously.
Right now." He says bluntly.
Before you can reply, your vision turns hazy and you black out.
__________________________
You awaken inside a majestic throne room. The room is lavishly designed with a grand red carpet, a huge chandelier, and many expensive portraits. There is also a large dining table adorned with expensive food and wine...this room is fit for a king. In the middle of the room is an elegant red/gold throne...someone is sitting on it.
"Daikon! Welcome to my castle! Please! Make yourself at home!" The figure says excitedly as he rises from his throne and walks towards you.
You gasp in shock when you witness his appearance. He looks....exactly like you. Except his body is composed entirely of black and white and half his face is covered in a skull mask. He is wearing an elegant outfit...something only a noble could afford to wear.
"Lilacor? Is that you?!" You ask.
"Of course it is! Whom else would be gracious enough to personally invite you to their castle? Would you like something to drink?" He asks in an uncharacteristically polite voice.
You look towards the table and see that there many bottles of red and white wine. Personally, you're not much of a drinker and so you shake your head. "Where are we Lilacor?"
"You're in my home! The bow of course!" He says matter-of-factly.
"The...bow?" You look around at all the expensive furniture and food. "This isn't nearly as bad as I thought." You say in awe.
"Bah! Trust me kid, it gets old REALLY fast. Anyways, if you're going to reject my hospitality, I guess well just start your training right away." He says bluntly before snapping his fingers.
The dining table instantly disappears, along with the food on it. In its place, is a huge, red pentagram. In the middle of the pentagram is a pedestal which holds a large, black grimoire. You can smell the scent of blood coming from it.
"Step inside the Pentagram Daikon."
"Wait! What is the purpose of this?!" You ask fearfully.
Lilacor raises a single eyebrow at you. He is obviously surprised at your hesitation.
"Daikon, a Pentagram to Necromancy is what Hand-seals are to Ninjutsu. It is a vital component of our art, and what allows us to focus the energy needed to commune with spirits. You shouldn't be afraid of your own tool!" He says rather harshly.
You say nothing and hang your head down. To your surprise, Lilacor walks up to you and puts his hands on your shoulder.
"Look kid, I know this seems scary, but its only because this is strange to you. Trust me, I'll be here to guide you every step of the way...I wont let any nasty spirits hurt you. So there it is lad...it's just you, me, and the dark now. Are you willing to take the first step towards power? Are you fit to be my apprentice?" He asks very seriously.
You nod your head.
"Then step inside the Pentagram." He says as he gently pushes you towards it.
You slowly walk inside the Pentagram, feeling a strange sensation the farther in you get. You stop in front of the pedestal and notice that the grimoire is already open....the pages are blank.
"Write your name in the book with your blood."
"What is this?" You say curiously as you examine the book.
"It's a contract Daikon. Death is rather territorial about its domain, we must make a pact with it to ensure there are no...conflict between him." He says ominously.
You shrug and bit your thumb. As you begin to write your name....
"WAIT DAIKON!" Lilacor quickly interjects.
You look back at him. "What?"
"I need to ask you something first....how do you picture death?" He asks
"What do you mean?"
"Do you picture death as a malignant spirit who wants nothing, except to harvest the souls of humans? Or do you picture him as benign spirit who does what he does to keep balance in the world? As trivial as this sounds....your answer is very important." He says seriously.
A) The first one
B) The second one
C) Free Choice
You think for a minute before answering.
"I view Death as a combination of the two. One who's ultimate duty is to bring the world into balance, but does things in a malevolent and malignant view.."
Lilacor seems impressed by your answer because he gives you a large smile. "That's a very good answer Daikon. I'm happy that you caught my false dichotomy...nothing in this world or the next is simply good or evil. Now focus hard on your answer and sign your name." He orders.
You nod and follow his directions. You carefully write your name on the blank page, trying to be as neat as possible. As soon as your write down the last letter, your blood begins to glow a bright yellow, and you suddenly feel very...cold.
"She's coming Daikon! Be on your very best behavior....and try not to stare." Lilacor says with a laugh.
The pentagram you are standing on starts glowing a purple color, and you notice everything outside of it disappears in a deep darkness. You feel a powerful presence approaching.
"A bit young to be making a deal with the devil aren't you?" You hear a chilling voice say from the darkness.
You look desperately towards where the voice came from, but you see nothing. Finally, you see a figure walk out and become illuminated by your pentagram's glow; it's Death.
Death is very different than how you pictured it....for one its in the form of a 16 year old girl. She has beautiful long black hair, and elegant facial features that clearly show a promiscuous aura. She is wearing a black, short-cut dress which greatly compliments her voluptuous figure. Her eyes are large and have a dull gray color..she's beautiful. But you can tell that she isn't an entirely benign spirit, she's shouldering a rather large scythe over her shoulders and her teeth are unnaturally pointed. She is eying you hungrily.
"Whats wrong kid? Has my appearance left you speechless?" She asks in a seductive voice.
Her question quickly traces you out of your trance and you shake your head vigorously. "Of course not!" You yell back at her stubbornly.
She only gives a small, quiet laugh at your rejection. She then comes closer to you and places her fingers on your neck; they're freezing cold.
"That's good kid. The dark will offer many temptation in many different forms. They could take the shape of power, envy, wrath or even...." She then brings her mouth close to your ears, "...lust." She says in a promiscuous tone as she licks her lips.
You find yourself motionless from terror. You're feeling a plethora of feelings right now...none of which you've ever felt before. Luckily, Death withdraws herself from your personal space.
"Now....I assume you have summoned me here because you want to work a deal of some sorts? I must admit, however, I'm very territorial about people entering my domain....and it seems you already have without my permission." She says with a hint of anger.
"W-what do you mean?" You ask in a confused tone.
She says nothing. Instead, she touches your stomach with her finger. Instantly, two purple orbs shoot our from your presence; they land next to you and shape themselves in the translucent form of Haku and Hashirama.
"WHERE AM I?!" You hear the voice of Haku yell in torment.
"Cold.....why do I feel so cold?" You hear the voice of Hashirama whine.
"Beautiful souls aren't they?" Death says in a sweet voice. "You would imagine my discomfort when I found they were....cheated from me." She says in a dangerously low tone.
You are terrified about what she could to you....but you try to remain calm. Perhaps you can flatter her?
"I'm sorry Death. I did not mean to overstep into your domain, please accept my humble apology." You say with a polite bow.
Death looks at you curiously for a second, but then gives a small smile.
"Such civility! I...suppose I will let your ignorance slide just this once." She then snaps her fingers and the two souls return to you, screaming during the process. "After all, we will be partners from this day forth." She says softly.
"About our contract...I was wondering if you could outline to me the details. Just to make sure I don't accidently breach it." You asks politely.
"Very well. The terms are actually rather straight-forward, I will allow you to work with souls that have fallen under my possession, and....." Death shuffles uncomfortably.
"And?" You quickly add.
"...and you will be granted immunity from me. Your soul will never cross into my realm.....you will walk the Earth for eternity. In other words, you'll be immortal...at least spiritually." She says softly.
"Wow....but what do you get out of the deal?!" You quickly ask.
"That doesn't matter anymore Daikon." She then gives a smile that shows her sharp teeth. "I've already taken it from you." She says ominously.
"Wait! Wh-"
"Do not worry too much about it. You probably won't even realize its gone, so lets just keep going hmm?" She says before flicking her hand and summoning a weird balance-like object. "I need for you to decide on a proper storage place for your soul....somewhere you can go if your physical body is killed." She says studiously.
"Umm.....how about?"
A) Your Iwagakure Forehead protector
B) Your Tanto
C) Your ANBU mask
D) Other
You try to think about the optimal place to store your soul. It has to be discreet, and yet not something you can lose easily. After a few minutes of thinking, you finally get it.
"Can I put my soul into a sliver of wood?" You ask curiously.
Death looks at you peculiarly. "Well...yes, but why would you want to do that?" She asks skeptically.
"I figure I need to put it somewhere safe and where I can't lost it, so I was thinking I'd put it in a sliver of wood and ingrain it in my left wrist. That way I would never lose it, and I wouldn't have to worry about someone stealing it while I'm gone." You say blankly.
Death remains silent for a moment before busting out in a laugh. It takes a few seconds for her to compose herself.
"Is my plan stupid?" You ask hesitantly.
"No, no. It's brilliant actually! I'm just not used to Necromancers who actually have a sense of....restraint. Most would want to store their souls in a priceless artifact, a self-portrait.....I even had a case where one asked to have his soul stored inside a castle! Can you believe that?!" Death asks playfully.
"Wow..."
"Tell you what kid, I'll even help you out a bit on this. Give me your left hand." Death says as she holds out her right arm.
You quickly oblige to her command. Her ice-cold fingers run down your palm and stop at your wrist. She brushes it off a little bit with her thumb before speaking.
"This seems like a decent enough spot....this is going to hurt." She warns as she flicks her left hand, and a sliver of wood appears.
You nod before closing your eyes and bracing yourself. You suddenly feel a sharp, painful sensation on your wrist; you feel a warm liquid ooze down your hand. You open your eyes and see that Death aligned the wood perfectly inside your wrist, you can't even see it anymore!
"That wasn't so bad was it?" Death says playfully. "Here, let me kiss it and make you feel better." She says before kissing your wrist. Instantly, the bleeding stops and the hole on your arm instantly closes up.
"Uhh,,,thanks?" You say very uncomfortably.
"No problem kid. It will take about two years for your soul to be fully transferred into that piece of wood. The process is subtle, and you probably shouldn't even feel it, but...."
"But?"
"But if it is removed before the transfer is complete, you will instantly die." Death says bluntly.
"Okay..." You try to say in a brave voice. "I suppose our business together is now finished?"
"That is correct. You've finished your pact with Death....you're a Necromancer now." She says rather sinisterly.
You say nothing.
"Just do be careful during your training. I'd hate for our next meeting to be.....premature." She says before smiling.
The pentagram abruptly stops glowing and you are blinded by the pitch black that now envelops your senses.
Your meeting with the Devil is over.
_______________________
You are suddenly blinded by the bright light of a chandelier, you are back in Lilacor's throne room. You see that he is rushing excitedly towards you.
"Daikon! How did it go?! You didn't stare at Death did you?!" He asks excitedly.
"It went well enough. The contract was made, and she allowed me to venture into her domain of power." You say wearily.
"Good, GOOD! Everything is going exactly as planned! We can finally start your training!" Lilacor almost squeals.
"Wait. I still have important duties back in the normal world....how long will this training last?" You ask seriously.
Lilacor laughs before playfully hitting you on the back.
"Don't worry Daikon. Time in here is much different than the real world. When you come back to the mortal world it will seem only as if you've been gone for a few minutes at most. Besides, I've used all my energy just bringing you here, so well probably be in here for about....two years?" He says uncertainly.
"Two years..."
"I know it sounds like a long time, but it really isn't. If you managed to learn just the basics of Necromancy in that span of time, then you would a genius without parallel! With that in mind...I suggest we begin your studies immediately." He says seriously.
"Okay, what should we start with?" You ask.
"Hmm...that's a tough question. We could begin by teaching you how to properly communicate with spirits, but that is a year-long study in itself. You could also start learning Soul Arts, the ability to manipulate and change human souls. I could also teach you how to raise the dead and create monsters, but that is a rather complicated subject too. Finally, if your up to it, we can also start working on creating your Hollow form."
"Hollow form?"
"Yeah. Remember back when I saved you during the Chunin exams? With the mask and everything? That was my Hollow form. The plan is for you to have your own one day."
"But why should I even bother? Couldn't I just call on you?"
"Well, for one thing, possessing your body took a whole lot of chakra; I only had enough to do it because I've been spending the last 50 years just sitting around and storing it! Second, that form is not nearly as powerful as the one you would eventually create. Finally, your soul becomes weaker each time I possess you; it's in both our best interests that it doesn't become a regular occurrence."
You silently weigh all your options...which would be the best?
A) Work on communicating with spirits.
B) Work on Soul Arts
C) Work on raising the dead and creating monsters.
D) Work on your Hollow Form
E) Free Choice
_______
"Can you tell me a little bit more about that Hollow-form thing?"
Lilacor gives you a great smile.
"Sure kid, but before I can explain it completely, I have to ask you....do you know what a 'Hollow' is?" He asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Honestly, I do not. Sorry." You say as you shake your head.
"Hollows are corrupt spirits; humans who weren't able to cross into Death's domain after they died. Th-"
"Wait! Why weren't they able to cross over?!" You quickly interrupt.
Lilacor gives you a slightly annoyed look before answering.
"Usually, it's because they died before they could finish something really important to them during their lives. Others don't even realize they have died and they simply walk the Earth until someone convinces them to move on....or until they transform into Hollows themselves. And some, a very few mind you, are simply so strong-willed that they outright refuse to move-on." Lilacor lectures.
You nod your head, silently taking all this new information in.
"Eventually, over the course of many years, they all begin the transformation into Hollows. They then spend an eternity harvesting and harassing the souls of the living. It's almost sad really." He says with a shrug.
"Is there nothing we can do about that?" You say sadly.
"Actually, that's when OUR job comes in. We Necromancers have the ability to "see" Hollows, even destroy them if were powerful enough. I'm sure you've already noticed....but Necromancy isn't inherently evil, by killing Hollows we have a vital role in keeping balance in the world. Without us, they would eventually kill every living-being in the world....that is why Death allows us to venture into her domain of power; were expected to deal with Hollows in return." He says stoically.
You remain silent for a few minutes before asking. "So...what happens to the Hollows after we destroy them?"
Lilacor shrugs before answering. "Nobody really knows. Death claims their human souls finally move-on and enter her realm, but I'm a bit skeptical about that."
"How exactly does this Hollow-Form work then? Do I dominate one of their souls?"
"Not exactly, you must undergo a process known as Hollowfication. It SHOULD only take a few minutes, but its...terrifying." He says ominously.
"Wait, how does it work?" You say with a hint of fear.
"Well, first I sever the chain that links your soul to this world. Since you signed your pact with death...your soul won't leave this world. You will forcefully begin the transformation into a Hollow."
"A-and then what?" You say, not trying to hide the fear in your voice.
"Then you will have a set amount of time to forcefully stop the transformation. If you manage to do it, I can reattach your soul to your body and you'll be good as new....with Hollow powers too of course."
You open your mouth to say something, but nothing manages to come out.
"I won't lie about the risks Daikon. Even with me supervising you, there's a chance that you won't be able to stop the transformation in time. The rewards, however, are well worth it...you could probably be propelled into Kage-level. Now that you know the risks, are you sure you want to do it? Remember, we could always come back to this later. "
(Very important.)
A) "Yes."
B) "No, lets work on _______ instead.
You take a deep breath and close your eyes. A few moments later, you muster up all your courage and look at Lilacor straight in the eyes.
"I'm doing this." You say seriously.
Lilacor looks at you skeptically before giving you a small smile. "Alright then. Sit over there while I get the ritual ready."
You spend the next thirty minutes silently waiting for the preparations to be complete. During this time, you silently observe Lilacor. You see that he has opted NOT to use the Pentagram you signed your pact with, and instead is busy-at-work creating a Hexagram-like shape in the middle of the room. You notice that instead of blood, he is using a light blue liquid to make it. You also notice that in one side of the Hexagram, he has added a line that connects it to a small circle. Is that where he is going to be sitting?
"It's almost done Daikon. Give me five more minutes." He says, knocking you out of your thoughts.
"Alright then." You reply simply.
He spends the next five minutes carefully writing down letters on each "point" of the star...you can't discern what they mean. After a few seconds of double-checking his work, he finally nods and looks towards you.
"Alright Daikon, I'm done. Sit down in the middle." He orders.
You nod and slowly make your way to the middle of the shape. Just like with the Pentagram, you feel a strange sensation that moment you enter the shape. You notice that Lilacor is walking up to you.
"Okay...so how will this work?" You ask hesitantly as Lilacor finally stands directly in front of you.
"Like this." He says as he raises his right hand, it begins to glow a dark purple color. Soul Release: Unbinding Chains!" He shouts before shoving his hand into your stomach. He then puts his left foot on your chest and violently pushes you. You feel something exit from you...it's your body or atleast a perfect clone of it. You notice that it lays motionlessly on the floor just outside of the Hexagram.
"W-what did you do to me?!" You yell at him.
Lilacor jumps out of the Hexagram, and into the circle connected to it. He sits down and forms a couple of strange, unrecognizable seals. Both the circle and the Hexagram begins to glow brightly.
"I've seperated you from your body. You are now nothing, but a spirit...look at yourself." He says solemnly.
You look down and notice that you look exactly the same....except there is now a huge, gaping hole in the middle of your body. Strangely enough, blood is not rushing out from your wound, and you can see completely through it. There is a long, double, serrated chain coming out of it.
"What is that chain?!" You ask fearfully.
"It is the chain that binded your soul to your physical body. Be careful Daikon....the chain is going to start eating itself and encroach any minute from now." He says seriously.
"What happens when it does that?!"
".....You will turn into a Hollow."
Suddenly, your chain begins to develop multiple mouths throughout itself. They squeel and start ravenously chewing on themselves. Bits and pieces of your chain begin to fall off and towards the ground, severely decreasing its length. While you don't feel any pain from this process, an overwhelming fear begin to rush throughout your body.
"A...AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"STOP IT DAIKON! YOUR FEAR WILL ONLY MAKE THE PROCESS GO FASTER!" Lilacor yells back at you in a fatigued voice. "You must keep calm!"
"HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO STAY CALM?!" You frantically scream.
"FOCUS! Take a deep breath and try to slow your breathing! You won't be able to stop this unless you have a cool-head!" He orders.
You quickly follow his advice and take a deep breath. You slow your breathing and try to focus on something that calms you down. The chains suddenly lessen their chewing and while you're still feeling panic, it's not nearly as bad.
"Good Daikon! Just stay like that! Now... I need you to listen to me carefully okay?" Lilacor says in a low tone.
You quietly nod your head, you notice that cold sweat is beginning to pour down from your face.
"Right now, my necromancy is mitigating the Hollowfication process...but my powers can't hold it off forever. I don't know why, but your soul is collapsing much faster than normal; I can probably only buy you another five minutes." He says somewhat skeptically.
You feel a twinge of horror beginning to resurface itself.
"You have to work fast Daikon. The only way to resist the process is to make your soul unbendable! Think of something that will fill your soul with so much resolve that it will be forced to stay in this realm!"
Suddenly, your chains begin to encroach at must faster pace; you're running out of time. You close your eyes and try to think of something that fits this description.
"Think carefully Daikon!" He pleads.
(If you choose wrong, you're going to die.)
E) Free choice
Frantically, you try to think of something that fits Lilacor's description. What gives you purpose in life? What is keeping you from just letting yourself die right here and now? There's gotta be something, ANYTHING.
"Daikon! The Chain!" Lilacor points out frantically.
You look down and notice the chain is now barely an inch long, and the mouths are showing no signs of slowing down. But you're not scared anymore; you have your answer. You think about becoming the Tsuchikage, about finally restoring your village back to its former glory...and making sure children like Alice didn't have to live the lives they did.
And that is when the last chain broke.
"****! It's too late Daikon!" Lilacor yells in despair.
You feel your body violently begin to spasm and shake. A white liquid like substance starts forcing its way into your mouth and you feel as if it's pulling your body inside-out. You feel yourself starting to black out as your eyes begin to bleed....you feel a terrible rage begin to overwhelm and attempt to control your body. You're turning into a Hollow.
"NO I WON'T DIE YET!" You yell as you desperately try to keep control.
You suddenly lose vision of everything around you, is a mask covering your face?
"MY ANSWER WAS RIGHT DAMNIT!" You yell into the air as you grab whatever is in front of your face and begin to pull.
It doesn't matter that your answer was right! It's too late! Give it up man, you lost fair and square! You hear a strange, third voice say.
"**** YOU!" You scream as you begin to pull on the mask harder and harder. You feel the edge of it slightly loosen from your face.
Whoa! What the hell are you doing?! You'll kill both of us if you remove that mask!
"I'D....RATHER....DIE...THAN...BECOME...A....****ING....HOLLOW!" You yell as you continue pulling with all of your might.
"D-Daikon! DON'T STOP! YOU'RE WINNING!" Lilacor yells in encouragement.
"Just...a...little...more!" You mutter as you finally loosen the half of the mask off your face.
"STOP! I"M BEGGING YOU!" You hear the third voice plead once more.
"...a.....A....AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" You scream as you finally pull off the mask, tearing off a large piece of your face along with it.
The moment you pull off the mask, a blinding light fills the area and you hear the painful voice of something screaming.
_____________
"D-Daikon....what did you do?" Lilacor says in awe.
You say nothing...your appearance has left you speechless. The transformation has caused your hair to turn as white as snow. Your clothes have changed as well, you are now wearing a white kimono with a black sash. To your surprise, your eyes are no longer concealed, but everything from the nose down is covered in a huge, white-jaw like mask. You also notice that the hole in your stomach is still there. For some reason, you're feeling an intense feeling of rage right now.
"What the hell? This isn't like your Hollow-form at all!" You say angrily towards Lilacor.
"No...it isn't." Lilacor says in a shaky voice.
"Did I **** up?!" You yell annoyingly.
"No...this..is perfect!" He says with a reinvigorated excitement. "I never knew a form like this existed! You're not a human who has gained Hollow powers....you're a Hollow who has gained Human powers!" He squeals.
You give a scowl towards Lilacor. "What the hell is the difference?! Was this worth nearly having my soul torn apart?!"
"YES! IT WAS!" He shouts back at you. "RIGHT NOW YOU ARE IN YOUR MOST POWERFUL FORM!"
You look at him curiously, now more skeptical than angry.
"This...feels weird. I can't feel chakra flowing in my body anymore." You say as you hold your hands up.
"**** chakra! YOU ARE IN YOUR HOLLOW-FORM NOW. YOUR ENERGY IS UNLIMITED!" He shrieks in delight.
You say nothing. Lilacor seems annoyed at your lack of excitement.
"...it seems a demonstration of your new power is the only thing that will convince you." He says as he snaps his fingers.
___________
You reappear in an area filled with...nothing. It's completely flat, empty, and white....you notice that Lilacor did not reappear with you.
"Why the hill did you bring me here Lilacor?!" You say with annoyance.
"I'm going to SHOW you the power of your new form! Were going to completely dominate the souls of Haiku and Hashirama right now!"
"COMPLETELY dominate? What's the difference?" You ask curiously.
"Right now...you've managed to take their souls, but it's not enough! They're still brooding inside you, silently contemplating the best time to wrest control from you! They're resisting your influence, blocking their true power from entering into you! If you do this now, their full-potential will be completely at your disposal. You will be a God!" Lilacor shouts maniacally.
"...And how exactly do I 'completely' dominate them?" You say with a renewed interest.
"That's easy Daikon. You fight them inside this realm and win. You hurt them so badly that they will beg for mercy and submit to you for all eternity!" Lilacor yells.
"Where are we anyways.?"
Lilacor gives a crazy laugh before answering, "Inside you of course."
Suddenly, two brights orbs fly past you and land about 20 yards away. They slowly shape and bend until they take the form of the two Shinobis you dominated; Hashirama and Haku.
"We wont submit to you anymore, demon!" Hashirama yells bitterly.
"We are no longer your slaves!" Haku screams at you.
You say nothing. You only look at them curiously, the way a King would look at a minor inconvenience.
"DIE FIEND!" They both yell in unison. Hashirama begins form a sleight of seals. Haku rushes at you, Senbons in hand and a snarl on his lips.
Instinctively, you reach out your hand and focus energy on your palm; a small, blue orb of energy appears. You quickly shape and bend it...so that it has the appearance of a huge, elegant bow. You notice that the bow now has a Pentagram in front of it. You raise the bow towards Haku and say nothing.
This is going to be good.

Skills Acquired:
Cero User: Daikon Rank: N/A All Ranges
Daikon focuses all of his energy into an arrow. When fired, the arrow will take then form of a huge, powerful energy blast. The pressure is strong enough to punch a hole into a mountain. Note: There is a slight charging period
Portal User: Daikon Rank: N/A All Ranges
A powerful Space/Time technique. By creating a hole into a different dimension, he can teleport anywhere almost instantaneously.
Licht Regen User:Daikon Rank: N/A Mid-Long Range
By focusing an incredible amount of energy into his bow, Daikon can shoot a volley of arrows all at once. These arrows can range from a few hundreds to even a thousand
You say nothing as you begin charging an incredible amount of energy into your bow. Patiently, you wait until Haku is only 10 yards away from you.
"Licht Regen." You say apathetically before releasing the arrow.
The pentagram infront of your bow glows brightly as the arrow crosses through it. Immediately, a volley of arrows charge towards Haku.
You see his eyes widen in shock as he futilely tries to defend himself by creating a single mirror in front of him. The very first arrow completely shatters his mirror, and Haku screams in pain as the remaining arrows tear him apart. A few seconds later, the only recognizable part of him is his dismembered head, which is laying motionless next to chunks of flesh.
You hear a distant *poof* sound coming from behind you. You turn around leisurely and notice that Hashirama is standing about 15 yards behind you, his hands performing the seal of the tiger.
"Bringer-of-Darkness Technique!" He yells in fury.
You say nothing as the sheet of darkness begins to cover you. You only manage to give Hashirama a bored look before being completely blinded.
"It's over." Hashirama says as he slowly walks up to you. He stops right next to you and pulls out a kunai. "DIE DEMON!" He yells as he brings down the knife.
*CRACK*
_________________
"H-how...." Hashirama says in disbelief
You're clutching his Kunai wrist tightly with your right hand. Your face maintains its apathetic appearance.
"I have no chakra fool. Your genjutsu won't work on me." You say bluntly.
Before he can reply, you twist your right hand violently, instantly breaking his wrist. As he screams out in pain, you let go and slam the butt of your bow right in his face, propelling him many yards back. Hashirama rolls about a dozen times before he finally manages to recover. He slowly gets back up, looking at you with utmost contempt.
"Is that all you got?" You ask pretentiously.
"...Bastard. DON'T LOOK DOWN ON ME!" He yells in fury before biting his thumb and slowly forming one-handed seals.
You decide not to interrupt him. Sure you could've ended the fight right here and then..but this might actually turn interesting.
"Summoning Jutsu!" Hashirama yells as he slams his hand down.
The area is instantly covered in a thick, odorless fog. You can't see anything, but you feel the ground violently shake...as if something is emerging from underneath it. When the fog clears...you widen your eyes in surprise.
In front of you lies a titan easily 100 feet tall. Her body is covered in many different trees, rivers, and boulders. She looks downs at you, anger clearly in her eyes.
"Who is this mortal that dares shows his face to me?!" The titan booms angrily.
"He is a demon. Lend me your power and together we can vanquish this monster!" Hashirama yells from an unknown location.
You say nothing, but you softly whistle in respect towards Hashirama. Perhaps this won't be as easy as you thought.
The Titan yells in fury before lifting her foot up in preparation to stomp you. The shadow it imposes is easily over 20 feet in diameter.
"DIE!" She yells before stomping onto the ground.
You quickly portal a few yards away before you can get crushed. Even from that distance, you can feel the terrible shock wave her attack caused. You probably won't survive if she manages to even graze you.
"YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM ME!" The titan and Hashirama yells in unison.
Trees and roots begin to violently emerge from the ground around you. From your peripheral, you can see that the Titan has grabbed a rather large boulder crusted in her body and is preparing to chuck it at you.
"A two front attack..." You mutter to yourself before clutching your bow tightly.

I believe this was the consensus before the lock:
Changing to Wind Walk away, avoiding both attacks. Afterwards, start charging your Cero.

Don't know why we'd put charge Cero instead of just using Cero on the Titan but ok. Charging it is obviously a part of using it. Plus we might have to specify who to use it next turn now.

“Your weak attacks won’t work against me!” You shout arrogantly before transforming into a gale of wind.
You quickly wind-walk out of the trees…and judging by the way that rock completely flattened them, you made the right move.
“Where is that insect?!” The titan booms in frustrations.
“I do not know, but do not drop your guard! He is a crafty little demon.” You hear Hashirama voice from an undisclosed location . You quickly reappear about 30 yards in the air behind the Titan. To your surprise…..you’re actually flying.
”Another cool power!” You hear Lilacor say excitedly in your head.
You say nothing; instead you aim your bow at the Titan and begin charging all your energy into an arrow. The pentagram in front of your bow begins to glow a blinding, deep-red color. The piercing light attracts the attention of your enemy.
“THERE HE IS!” The titan yells as she turns around to meet you face-to-face.
“Open your mouth! Let us vanquish him once and for all!” Hashirama cheers.
The titan obliges to her masters command, and she opens her mouth wide. You sense an incredible amount of Chakra being focused in there.
“Fire Release: Destruction of the World Jutsu!” You hear Hashirama’s voice yelling from inside the mouth.
Immediately, an incredibly large ball of fire shoots from the titan’s mouth and charges at you. The heat coming from this technique is amazing; the ground itself starts to combust as the technique moves over it. You feel your eyes begin to melt the closer and closer it gets……but you never needed them anyways. After all, your target was nice enough to lay down right in front of you.
“Cero.” You say calmly before releasing your arrow.
The minute the arrow touches the pentagram, it explodes into an incredibly large energy beam. The beam quickly punches through the fireball and charges straight towards the titan, much to her surprise.
“No….NOOOOOOOO!” The titan yells in fear.
The beam violently connects with her; everything from the shoulder-up is completely shadowed by your blast. You hear the sounds of two people screaming in excruciating pain as you continue to channel the blast. By now, your eyes have regenerated good-as-new.
”Oh my God Daikon…. You’re ****ing BRUTAL! Word can’t describe how proud I am at you right now!” Lilacor says in a pseudo-parental voice.
As the blast finally ends, you marvel in satisfaction at the damage you caused. Half of the titan’s face has been completely blown off, and the other half is quickly crumbling and burning. Her shoulders are still connected, but they are also violently charred and ravaged by your technique. It’s time to finish this.
You quickly form the one-handed seals for your signature attack. While you can’t feel the chakra being molded, you can instantly tell your new power-source is going to cause its power to raise to a completely new level.
“Earth Release: Fumbling Tectonics.”
The ground underneath the titan instantly SPLITS into two halves, both of which quickly give-in due to her weight. She tries in vain to keep her footing, but she quickly begins to fall.
“Ice Release: Arctic Breath” You say calmly before huffing and blowing a freezing breeze towards the titan.
The breeze almost instantly begins freezing the titan solid. By the time she hits the Earth, she is completely encased in a block of ice.
*SHATTER*
“How…..are…you….this…strong?” Hashirama puffs as he vomits mounds of blood.
You say nothing as you slowly walk towards your defeated enemy. He is laying stomach-down on the floor, next to the remains of his defeated summon. He tries desperately to push himself up…..but it’s rather hard to do that when you’re missing an arm. His eyes widen in fear as you begin to close the distance between him and you.
“G-get away!” He desperately yells before performing a sleight of one-handed seals.
A small cluster of vines instantly shoot out from the ground in front of you. They quickly swing towards you in a desperate attempt to entangle you. You simply slap them out of the way with your free hand; the plants quickly freeze after making contact with it. You then portal directly in front of him. You look down at him, but say nothing.
“WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!” Hashirama yells, almost a sobbing.
You give a small smile before leaning into his ear.
“Your soul.” You say in a sinister voice.
Hashirama begins shaking uncontrollably; you can hear him whimper in terror.
“ENOUGH DAIKON!” You hear Lilacor yell from behind you.
You quickly turn around and see that he is walking towards you, holding the dismembered head of Haku by the hair.
“Torment……when will my torment end?” You hear Haku’s head say with great sorrow.
“Shut the hell up!” Lilacor yells as he slaps the head violently on the cheek. He then throws the head right next to the defeated Hashirama.
Hashirama says nothing, but he quickly cradles Haku’s head in his arms. You return your gaze to Hashirama, looking at him menacingly.
“Do you acknowledge me as your king?” You calmly say to both of them.
“YES! ANYTHING! BUT PLEASE….DON’T HURT US ANYMORE!” Hashirama yells.
“We will be your….slaves.” Haku says solemnly.
The two souls suddenly glow a light shade of purple. After a few seconds, they revert back to normal….you’ve completely robbed them of their power.
You say nothing for a few seconds, but then release your bow. You turn around and begin to walk away, thinking that your confrontation was complete.
“Wait, Daikon.” Lilacor says as he blocks you with one hand.
You shoot a piercing glare at Lilacor.
“It’s over. They’ve submitted to my power and are now my slaves for all eternity! I have nothing left to say to these broken souls.” You say harshly.
Lilacor doesn’t cower under your glare. In fact, he almost seems amused by it.
“No….it isn’t over Daikon. And just fyi……make sure you don’t forget whose REALLY playing the cards you arrogant little prick.” Lilacor says with an obviously fake smile.
You scowl at Lilacor, but say nothing. “What do you suggest I do with them?”
“By defeating them here, you’ve already managed to completely dominate them…so they’re pretty much useless to you now in this form.” Lilacor explains
“This form?” You ask curiously.
“Yes…..but there’s a certain something we can do to make them more…..useful.” Lilacor says as he gives an evil grin.
You raise a single eyebrow at Lilacor.
“They would be the perfect candidates for starting your undead army.” Lilacor says.
“NOO! HAVE MERCY!” Hashirama yells in fear.
“HAVE YOU NOT ROBBED US OF ENOUGH?” Haku whines.
“ENOUGH! A SLAVE WILL NOT TALK TO THEIR KINGS THIS WAY!” Lilacor snaps at the two of them.
The two souls instantly cease their complaing, but you can distinctly hear them sobbing at their possible fate.
“How exactly will this work?” You ask curiously.
“You may not have noticed, but these two souls are incredibly powerful….at least compared to non-necromancers. Using my powers, I can corrupt and transform them into powerful monsters. See that kid over there?”
Lilacor points towards Haku. “He has the making of a powerful Lich….possibly the strongest of all-time! And Hashirama? He could become an equally powerful Dark Druid!” Lilacor cheers.
“But if I do this, what’s stopping them from revolting against me once more?” You ask prudently.
“Don’t worry about it Daikon. The ritual and transformation will slowly brain-wash them to be totally obedient….they will be your loyal slaves until time itself stops. “ He explains.
You quietly begin to think about his offer. Before you can go through TOO much introspection, however, Lilacor places his hands on your shoulder.
“Look Daikon, I know you might feel guilty about doing this…..but these guys are YOUR souls, YOUR property. They’re never going to leave this dimension. If you don’t do this, they’re going to spend the rest of eternity doing…..THAT!”
Lilacor points at the two souls silently crying to each other.
“Give them a purpose to live man, a go-“
“WE DON’T WANT TO LIVE AS YOUR ABOMINATIONS!” Hashirama interjects with rejuvenated bravery.
“WE WOULD RATHER DIE THAN BECOME YOUR MONSTERS!” Haku adds.
“SILENCE!” Lilacor yells harshly at the two.
“Look Daikon, you NEED minions. There WILL be a point in your training where I will no longer be able to hold your hand…..it is at that time that you will need allies the most. You’ve already robbed them of everything else, why not tie the final knot?” Lilacor questions.
A) “Turn them.” B) “Don’t turn them.”

A. While I'd rather stay a good guy, I like where this is going. Daikon started off innocent enough, but for power and service to his village he goes down a darker and darker path. This is exactly the issue. Daikon is turning cold, dark, arrogant, and evil. This is what necromancy does, particularly the hollow form, which compliments . I almost think that while in this form, we pose a threat to Lilacor himself. But power is not the answer. Voting B. The Fuma leader had this bow. He knew Lilacor. But considering that we have the bow (thus Lilacor), this means that Fuma rejected Lilacor.... I really wonder how he did that? Did he gain the Iragan eye that way? Did he lose any power he gained through soul dominance? I have a feeling that we'll get to the answers down the road. I guess we'll just have to deal with what he have right now. I'm resolved to keep Daikon good. No matter the cost.

“No, I won’t turn them. They’ve suffered enough.” You say stubbornly.
Lilacor looks at you with a piercing glare, he is obviously angry at your decision.
“You really are damn difficult aren’t you? You’ve already taken everything from them….why not atleast TRY to make them useful?” Lilacor says as he shakes his head.
“THANK YOU MASTER!” Haku and Hashirama yell in unison.
Lilacor gives both them an annoyed look, which quickly transforms into one of complete rage. He twitches his hand and a hexagram instantly appears under the two souls.
“W-what is this?!” Hashirama yells as he looks down.
You quickly look at Lilacor, confusion engraved in your face.
“If you won’t allow them to be useful through battle….perhaps they will benefit me in some other way.” Lilacor says sinisterly.
Immediately, a large, three-headed dog emerges from the Hexagram. It is easily over 15 feet tall and is barking menacingly…..it looks at the two souls hungrily.
“No…NOO! DON’T LET THEM DO THIS TO US!” They both plead in unison.
You instinctively twitch for your bow, but Lilacor quickly punches you in the stomach. Suddenly, you feel chakra inside your body again, and your body is now reconnected to your soul. Before you can retaliate, he grabs you by the neck and slams you hard on the ground.
“I am more than tired of your ****ing morals and insubordination. Make one more ****ing move and I will kill you right here and now!” He yells threateningly.
You say nothing and quickly submit. You hear the terrifying screams of pain and the sound of flesh being ripped from bone.
“Do you think you were “good” in sparing them? Don’t wrap yourself in such denial! You already stole everything from them…ESPECIALLY that boy.” He relaxes his grip and allows you to stand up. “You took everything from him; his power, his potential, his future, evens his life! Don’t you dare look down on me for what I did…….I only finished what you started. In the end you are just as rotten as me.” Lilacor says before walking away from you; he opens a portal and quickly walks through it
You say nothing as you slowly creep behind his steps, feeling tears well up in your eyes because everything he said was true. ___________
“I almost don’t want to train you anymore.” Lilacor says bluntly as you reemerge from the other side of the portal. “If you don’t have the balls to shape your own broken slaves, what hope do I have in you freeing me?”
You say nothing and hang your head down in shame.
“You have the talent….no doubt about that, but your conscience is hindering what should be your ultimate power! Perhaps I was wrong in choosing you as my apprentice….maybe I should just abandon you and go after that Dosu instead.” He says disappointingly
You widen your eyes in shock at what he says.
“You think I’m kidding don’t you? Give me one ****ing reason I should keep wasting my time on you.” Lilacor hisses angrily. “You’re nothing, but a child….a hopeless, naïve, child.”
(Careful….he’s going to abandon you if you don’t appease him.)

Ok, yeah, fuck being good when it comes to dealing with Lilacor. Daikon can always repent some other way.
I vote something along the lines of...
"I apologize for the insolence. I have let pity get the best of me. From now on, I will utterly dominate the souls I capture. You're right, I should not make so much waste. And hey... With the way you praise Dosu, maybe we should make dominating his soul a priority, wouldn't you agree?" ---
And then to keep Daikon relatively good, we'll only steal villain souls, like Dosu and Orochimaru... Man, I only voted otherwise because Hashirama was a good guy and didn't deserve the fate, really...
But I can justify soulcrushing Orochimaru.

This is exactly why I voted against Necromancy, I knew we would never be in control, we have to do everything Lilacor wants. We don't control Necromancy, Necromancy controls us.
Even if we appease him, we have to be evil to do it. There was no such thing as a non-evil necromancer. I was hoping at best to be neutral but it doesn't look like its gonna happen.
Sure Necromancy makes this cyoa badass, but ensign is such a great writer anyway that I throughly enjoyed his story even before Necromancy appeared.

This of it this way, Ice...
As long as Lilacor exists, souls will be dominated... At least this way, we have some say in it, instead of giving ol' Dosu the reigns.
And hey... We'll be able to give Lilacor his dues once we jailbreak him into the mortal plane.

Another thing I'm thinking of....
All the souls we dominate... If we ever change alliances and Lilacor abandons us, doesn't he get those souls? So we're essentially giving him power. He'll be a much more difficult opponent down the road if that happens.
