Just in case I wasn't clear, you can distribute points to more than one attribute. It's 100% fine if you do, just making sure you know.
Also, I'll help you guys out with exactly what the stats will do.
Agility +5 - Base damage goes from 24 to 31. Crit chance 11%(16%), crit damage 122%. Evade becomes 4.4% up from 3.2%. Endurance +5 - Health goes from 55 to 80. Intelligence +5 - Mana goes from 80 to 105, special crit becomes 10.5%, crit damage 121%. Luck +5 - who knows? Speed +5 - You go faster than people with a lower score. Strength +5 - Won't do much for your character, but you'll get 1 armor penetration every time you hit something divisible by 5. So, 3 points for 1 pen. Willpower +5 - Health regen doesn't increase enough to round up, but mana will jump to 4 points per turn. Resist becomes 4.4%, up from 3.2%.

I have learned that luck is almost always the most powerful stat in every RPG system. Putting every level's points into luck would get you killed, but high luck is incredibly useful.
As for Fenrir/Biscuit, I think we have two main routes we should pick from. We should train him in intelligence/luck for side abilities, or pump his speed and agility to bumrush opponents (maybe throw in some endurance). But not to mix both.

MC: +5 Luck A Fenrir (Alpha Male): +5 intelligence (to teach him tricks, not magic) This. Shouldn't evasion be part of speed or agil instead of end?

Totally my fault. I went back and added to the wrong one. Evade, crit damage, and crit chance are under Agility.
Now, for luck. It's not the most useful stat. Just going to throw that out there now. Don't neglect this stat. It is useful, but don't overglorify it. I'd tell you exactly what it does... but that would ruin the mystery, right? Luck is like the icing on a cake. Then again, maybe you really like icing.

Okay. I'll concede to this:
See latest post.
Here's what I'd like to do for our MC. I'd like to pump willpower because of his perks (and in time some agility as well). But I'll give you luck if you concede to answer choice B. Since we'll undoubtingly encounter close range combat in the future and our off-hand can yield high damage. We can increase our unload damage later I'm sure.
On another note, I'll vote intelligence for the wolf if you keep the name I suggested (Biscuit).
Sound good?

Concurring with Vegeta here,
MC Luck +5 B
Biscuit Intelligence +5
Not sure how the name Biscuit cropped up, but I'm all for the lulz of it.

Biscuit is an awesome name, considering that he levels up and all that. So one day, your dog named Biscuit will be able to solo a town full of people. That is, if you guys don't botch his stats or anything

What level int do you think he needs to be able to talk?

Post by someclown911 on May 13, 2011 2:37:19 GMT
He'd likely need a new set of teeth and a new tongue before he can talk.

Level 2
Allocate 5 attribute points. Agility - 17 Endurance - 10 Intelligence - 16 Luck - 18 Speed - 17 Strength - 12 Will - 17
Ability upgrade: A. You are very precise with Unload, and now each consecutive hit does 1 extra damage. (5+6+7+8+9) rather than (5 x 5). B. Off-hand strike no longer has a cool down. C. Void Breath now adds a decaying effect to anyone who survives the initial damage. Starts at 2 points a turn for 5 turns. D. Recall is now free. E. Counterstiking now adds 2% evade chance when active.
Fenrir Level 2
Allocate 5 Agility - 20 Endurance - 7 Intelligence - 14 (No magic) Luck - 10 Speed - 20 Strength - 15 Will - 10 (No magic)
Perk gained: The taste of steel is still strong in the wolf's mouth. The taste of flesh is much nicer, so the wolf has learned where to bite and where not to bite, or in other words, the concept of armor.
Effect: Penetration +5[/quote]

Sorry V. I didn't see your message in time to change my vote from A to B. Willpower/Agility/Luck sounds nice, btw. I like it.
Though Intelligence/Speed(or agility) may be better than Intelligence/Luck for Biscuit, I realized. We can decide on that later.

Isn't it weird that our dog is almost as smart as we are?
|
|
|
Post by giga on May 13, 2011 14:20:32 GMT
He'll be smarter than us. He'll be the Light Yagami of wolves. Thinking about it, why he'd need so much intelligence, I don't know. He can't communicate his battle plans with us. He can't use magic. He doesn't have disposable thumbs to build stuff. He'd have to learn how to use a gun with his mouth.
Man that sounds cool. A mouth controlled gun.
In a wolf mouth. Wolf mouths have teeth, so he could bite you, and then fire a gun. So you'd get your face bitten, and then your face blown off by the mouth gun.
Lets get that mouth gun. Like, we tell him to fetch, and instead of bringing us back a nasty crap rotting deer leg, he brings back a mouth gun. Cause he's so smart. And we're so lucky.

You have time, Vegeta. I'm not off until 8 (central) today.
Anyway... if the dog becomes more intelligent than you, I will buy plane tickets and smack each and every one of you (unless it's very temporary). If I have to explain why, I feel like we'll be repeating a lot of fights.

Changing vote from A to B. Changing vote from Fenrir to Biscuit. Changing +5 intelligence to Biscuit to +5 agility. I took the hint.

Why don't we make a Deimos clone and mash all those points into luck?
|
|
|
Post by giga on May 13, 2011 22:21:55 GMT
I thought about that, and realized his initial stats - high agility and speed - are not Deimos at all.
