"Lord Gaara," the man guiding you says. "This is the boy the scouting team found."
Gaara lifts his weary eyes off his papers and takes a look at you.
"Why were you near our border?" Lord Gaara asks.
"Excuse me?" you respond puzzled.
"You heard me," he continues. "We're at a difficult time right now, and we find some monster carrying you on our doorstep. He killed half the scouting team before he ran off without you. So, tell me; why were you near our border?" he sternly repeats.
"I honestly don't know," you reply sadly. "That man took me from my home. He killed my father," you say as you ball your fists. "I don't know why I'm here. I don't know where here even is," you answer.
Tense silence fills the air for what feels like hours. Gaara sighs before answering.
"You couldn't have picked a worse time to be found by us," he says. "You're at the Village Hidden in the Sand. We're on the verge of war."
A. Ask information about who's involved in the war. B. Ask information on who Gaara thinks will win the war. C. Ask who put the bonds on you. D. Ask if they know the way to your family's home.

A, it seems that Gaara thinks his side will lose. Just my best guess, though.

"War?" you ask. "I thought the villages were at relative peace now?"
Gaara sighs as he stands up. "They have been, but things have taken a turn for the worse. The Stone Village is accusing Suna of kidnapping one of their magma users," Gaara explains.
"Did you?" you question.
Gaara merely gives you an apathetic look. "No. To tell you the truth... I wish we did order that kidnapping," he says sadly. "My sources tell me there have been strings of kidnappings in every country. Bloodline users, clan members, anyone who may be somehow special. One of our prominent poison brewers was attacked and barely managed to escape," he explains. "Whoever did these kidnappings managed to frame Suna when they went after that manga user."
You didn't listen to that last part. "Kidnappings are happening to people who are... special?" you slowly articulate.
He nods his head. "I think you were victim of this organized kidnapping effort. You may be able to help us solve this; I'm sorry to ask you of your family now, but do you know if your mother and father had anything... unusual?"
A. Yes; I remember my father mentioning a unique kekkei genkai. B. Yes; I remember my father mentioning combining elements. C. Yes; I remember my father mentioning incredible learning speeds. D. Yes; I remember my father mentioning a hidden family treasure.

For the sake of fairness, I'll just go ahead and post how Morning Sun is different from usual Naruto stats. This will come up later when you choose your stats, skills, and perks, but I'm letting you guys know this stuff before you pick this round, so you're better informed.
If you've played Fallout 3, you already know how this will work. There are 3 things to keep in mind: Stats, Skills, and Perks. Stats are the usual stuff. Skills are, obviously, skills your character has aquiried throughout his journey. Perks are the quirky, fun bonuses. As an example, Orochimaru may have "Snake Contract", "White Snake Power", and "Fast Ninjutsu Learner" as his perks. Perks can be trained or bought with arc rewards.
There will also be a shop you can buy things at later on.
Your stats out of 10:
Strength Perception Endurance Willpower Intelligence Agility
Strength: Increases your melee damage with most forms of taijutsu, how much stuff you can carry, and how large of objects you can lift. Main stat for taijutsu.
Perception: Increases your ability to spot hidden enemies, detecting if someone used substitution, and seeing what hand seals people use during combat.
Endurance: Increases your chakra levels and physical stamina. Determines how long you can fight and how much of a lickin' you can take.
Willpower: Increases your ability to impose your will on others, such as bartering and persuasion. Used for creating [and partly defending against] genjutsu. Main stat for genjutsu.
Intelligence: Increases your learning speed with everything and improves ninjutsu potency. Main stat for ninjutsu.
Agility: Increases your reaction time and general dexterity.
Your basic skills out of 100:
Barter - Allows you to upgrade your normal ninja gear and pick up a few special goodies, like Molotov's Ambrosia. WILLPOWER Speech - Your silver tongue can open windows of opportunity for you. WILLPOWER Big Guns - You love your attacks flashy, expensive, and most of all, GG. Improves your ability to learn them, increases potency, and helps you survive after using some of the more dangerous ones. ENDURANCE Explosives - You love your attacks damaging, blowing up, and most of all, dangerous. Improves your ability to learn and use exploding jutsus like fireballs and clones. Also improves your bombs, like exploding tags and C4. ENDURANCE Melee Weapons - You always carry the bigger club, and with this skill, you really know how to use it. STRENGTH. Unarmed - You love CQC and small weapons like kunai, as it offers a balanced fighting style. STRENGTH Non-elemental Ninjutsu: Shunshins, water walking, clones, etc etc. Skill used when trying to dispel barriers. INTELLIGENCE Medical - So you or your ally doesn't die of infection after a brutal fight. Also gets you back on your feet faster, and maybe even put others on their feet through poisons. INTELLIGENCE Tinkering - Learning how objects work is a hobby of yours. You're excellent at building traps, and you know how to abuse structural weaknesses. You can even pick locks! PERCEPTION VATS - Your increased learning ability can cause your brain to go into overdrive, making things appear in slow motion. With a higher VATS skill, you can have more control over this ability, allowing you to pull off complicated tasks in mere seconds. PERCEPTION Speed Bursts - Too fa-. AGILITY Sneaking - Determines how well you can avoid detection by those around you [without the aid of ninjutsu or genjutsu]. AGILITY
Some skills require training or perks before you can use them or invest points into it, such as:
Katon Ninjutsu - You have a katon affinity, and can use katon jutsus. Suiton Raiton Doton Fuuton Special elements Clan jutsus Seal Ninjutsu One handed seals
As an EXAMPLE of perks, here are three you could choose:
Beginning Perks: [the number after the name refers to how many times you can take it] Intense Training (10) - Choose a stat to be raised by one point. First Rule of Fight Club (3) - Raises your Melee Weapon and Unarmed skill by 5 each. Elemental Affinity (3) - Choose Raiton, Doton, Katon, Suiton, or Fuuton as an affinity.

The thought of your father saddens you. "Yeah, my father mentioned my mother memorizing entire books worth of information in days," you say.
Gaara lifts his left eyebrow in curiosity. "Interesting. That will help you prepare for your mission."
"Mission?" you loudly exclaim. "What mission?"
"Suna rests in a vast, barren desert. It's our protector; anyone invading must pass through its unforgiving heat and smothering sandstorms. But the grains of sand have special chakra-altering qualities to it. Anyone who spends an extended period of time breathing the sand has their chakra signature permanently altered, immediately telling sensors what village we're from," he explains. "You don't have that altered chakra signature."
"So you need me to act as an agent of your village?" you ask.
He smirks. "Exactly. You'll be directly reporting to me."
"I'm essentially homeless now... you paying?"
"As a Kage, I can reward you handsomely for your service." He motions to the man who led you to this room. "He will be your teacher until you are ready to take on this mission. Consider this a front, and a token of our friendship," Gaara says while smiling. "You can make a difference in this world. You don't have to live in hatred and loneliness. Even if you don't accept my mission and leave Suna... you'll need the strength not to go down that dark path," he solemnly says.
A. Ask why he can't just hire a ninja from outside of Suna. B. Ask about your newly appointed teacher. C. Ask about your mission. D. Nod and leave.

After a quick nod you turn around and leave Gaara's office. You hear quick footsteps racing to catch up with you.
"That was pretty badass, kid," your teacher says.
"Thanks. Asking questions that will inevitably be answered is for women."
"Ain't that right! Say, better let me lead since I know where I'm going."
You immediately stop walking, realizing you had no idea where you were going. "Yeah. Good point," you quietly agree.
"Now then, lets start that training!" he enthusiastically roars while throwing his arms wildly into the air. Dude might be insane, you think.
"Where are we?" you ask. A gloomy room surrounds you with only the flicker of torches on the wall to illuminate it. Behind you lie the stairs you took to walk down here; to the front looks to be a massive iron gate.
"We are in the training room!" he yells while walking to the gate. "This is where the magic happens!"
"That's nice. Say, about Gaara... he seemed nice. Why did he have me put in bonds?" you innocently question.
He reaches his palm out to the gate, and it begins to rise.
"Hmm? Oh, right. He actually didn't know about the bonds," he explains. "I put those on you."
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah, about that, I'm a fan of having my students learn by doing," he hurriedly explains. A deep growl comes from behind the rising iron gate. "Particularly by doing dangerous activities."
"The cra-"
"Say, I gotta go kid. Good luck!"
He disappears in a cloud of smoke, and a menacing black bear stumbles out of the gate. The flesh itself looks to be rotting off; its fierce jaw opens to reveal an assortment of razor sharp teeth.
"FFFFFFF-"
A. Grab one of the large torches on the wall. B. Try to dodge the bear's strikes and land quick blows against the beast. C. Run away. Your teacher is obviously crazy. D. Good thing you always carry a Molotov cocktail, just in case something like this happened.

A. A bear's only weakness is fire, but only if it is not in projectile form.

You make a dash for the wall behind you. The sounds of a frantic yet lumbering chase echo in the room as you assume the bear wildly charges at you.
Grabbing the hanging torch's handle you immediately dig your feet into the ground, giving you leverage as you make a powerful swing to your backside.
CRACK!
Your attack occurred just in time, with the bear within mere feet of devouring you. In slow motion you see the burning torch connect with the bear's jaw, sending shockwaves through the bones in his skull. A contorted face of pain marks the bear's expression as it receives the weapon's blow. Scorch marks litter its jaw from where flames lashed at its flesh.
The slow motion ends, and you're brought back to reality when the bear roars in response, as if to assert its dominance in your love-hate relationship. He loves to eat you, you hate being eaten.
A. Continue aiming at its head, opening something gives out in its thick skull. B. Try to get the bear to eat your Molotov cocktail, and light its contents inside the bear's mouth. C. Throw your Molotov cocktail at the bear, let the flames bask on its hide. D. Yeah, it's time to run now.

B. Fire is a bear's only weakness, but only if it's inside of the bear. Common knowledge.
