The bear roars at you, dramatically unhinging its jaws to boast its massive, threatening mouth. Large globs of spit smack your face. If only you had your Molotov cocktail ready.
You take the opportunity and smash your torch into its skull again. And again. Adrenaline pumps through your body, giving you boundless energy and fury. Your torch rips the bear's already mutated skin, revealing bloodied bone.
It tries to swipe you with its ragged paw, but your brutal assault was the beginning of its end; your torch easily parries the weak attack, and you counter with a swing of your own. The metal rod collides and deals the final blowing, sending the hideous bear crashing into the stone ground, lifeless and definitely bruised. You wipe its spit and warm blood off your face.
"Excellent work!" your enthusiastic teacher yells, sending you jumping into the air in surprise. "A bit messy, but very impressive! You obviously have a talent with large weapons!" he gleefully says. You think back to when you hit Amin with the tree branch.
"I guess I do," you coolly agree.
"Yes, yes! Finally, a student worthy to learn my talents!!" he yells even louder. "We'll begin your training immediately!"
He walks over and grabs a torch.
"Oh no. No," you worriedly say while raising your torch to defend yourself. "I just fought that bear. No sparring."
"Haha! Relax! I'm not going to spar with you," he laughingly assures. "No, sparring is for equals. I'm going to try to murder you!"
He instantly appears in front of you, raising his torch.
"Just survive, buddy!" he screams.
A. Rely on your strength and parry his attack. Overpower him. B. Rely on your perception and deflect his attack. Outmaneuver him. C. Rely on your agility and dodge his attack. Outspeed him. D. Rely on your endurance and tank his attack. Overbadass him.
For no reason at all, I'll post the stat layout. No reason.

A. Rely on your strength and parry his attack. Overpower him.
Taijutsu, melee weapons, unarmed. Bascially if you want to be Lee pick this.
B. Rely on your perception and deflect his attack. Outmaneuver him.
Perception obviously. However it provides absolutely no bonus to any skills what so ever. Which imo, makes perception the least useful of the stats.
C. Rely on your agility and dodge his attack. Outspeed him.
Reaction time, tinkering, speed bursts, sneaking. Imo the most ninja like. I remember how useful traps are from The New Age. Also this seems to be most compatiable with our quick learning skills.
D. Rely on your endurance and tank his attack. Overbadass him.
Endurance, Explosives, Big guns. Basically if you want to rely on sheer power. Not ninja like at all however.
Stats not here Willpower (genjutsu) Intelligence (ninjutsu)

Huh. I didn't even notice Perception had no stats associated with it. I'll edit this post and assign some stats to it.
[Stat x 5 = Base Skill]. So if your Strength was 5, you'd have [5 x 5 = 25] in Melee Weapons and Unarmed, before training is even added. If you really like explosives but don't like Endurance, you don't have to put points into Endurance. All putting points into Endurance does is raise the base skill so you need less training. You would want to consider others things, like how strong or how finesse you want your character to be, before you consider how stats affect skills.
Barter - Allows you to upgrade your normal ninja gear and pick up a few special goodies, like Molotov's Ambrosia. WILLPOWER Speech - Your silver tongue can open windows of opportunity for you. WILLPOWER Big Guns - You love your attacks flashy, expensive, and most of all, GG. Improves your ability to learn them, increases potency, and helps you survive after using some of the more dangerous ones. ENDURANCE Explosives - You love your attacks damaging, blowing up, and most of all, dangerous. Improves your ability to learn and use exploding jutsus like fireballs and clones. Also improves your bombs, like exploding tags and C4. ENDURANCE Melee Weapons - You always carry the bigger club, and with this skill, you really know how to use it. STRENGTH. Unarmed - You love CQC and small weapons like kunai, as it offers a balanced fighting style. STRENGTH Non-elemental Ninjutsu: Shunshins, water walking, clones, etc etc. Skill used when trying to dispel barriers. INTELLIGENCE Medical - So you or your ally doesn't die of infection after a brutal fight. Also gets you back on your feet faster, and maybe even put others on their feet through poisons. INTELLIGENCE Tinkering - Learning how objects work is a hobby of yours. You're excellent at building traps, and you know how to abuse structural weaknesses. You can even pick locks! PERCEPTION VATS - Your increased learning ability can cause your brain to go into overdrive, making things appear in slow motion. With a higher VATS skill, you can have more control over this ability, allowing you to pull off complicated tasks in mere seconds. PERCEPTION Speed Bursts - Too fa-. AGILITY Sneaking - Determines how well you can avoid detection by those around you [without the aid of ninjutsu or genjutsu]. AGILITY

As he raises his torch to smash you, it happens again. Your eyes widen as your teacher's lightning-fast downward thrust begins to slow down. You remember your ferocious duel with the bear, and how time itself seemed to slow down when you struck your first blow. At the pace your teacher is now moving, you think you might have a chance at dodging this; you command your body to twirl to its side. In slow motion the metal torch grazes the tip of your nose, safely missing your body and smashing into the stone tiles below. Pieces of stone fly up and sting your legs; his attack must have shattered the flooring.
"That was pretty good," your teacher compliments. "Your mind's initial reaction was to dodge my attack. It trusted its life to your body's agility."
He maliciously grins and pulls out a few palm-sized balls from the pouch on his waist. "Lets see how you react to this!"
The balls violently explode, filling the room with obscuring smoke. You can barely see the flickering flame illuminating from your weapon.
A. Trick him by throwing your voice and blindsiding him. B. Outsmart him; insult his training regime so he'll give his location. C. Close your eyes and focus on any sound. D. You obviously can't find him in this smoke, but he probably can find you. Wait for him to attack, and counter.

So far from our choices we have: 1.+Agility
2. +Melee Weapons
3. +Tinkering
4. Incredible learning speeds. = +2 intelligence, gain skills more quickly from training, receive higher skill bonus from stats, different VATS
5. +Badass points
6. +Explosives
7. +Melee Weapons
8. +Agility
A. Trick him by throwing your voice and blindsiding him.
Barter or willpower, neither one fits our current style, if we take it, we might start spreading ourselves thin or atleast with less opportunites to specialize in combat related stats (i.e endurance).
B. Outsmart him; insult his training regime so he'll give his location.
See A
C. Close your eyes and focus on any sound.
I'm thinking perception (which would be tinkering or vats)
D. You obviously can't find him in this smoke, but he probably can find you. Wait for him to attack, and counter.
Either melee weapons, unarmed or vats
So far we have some agility and melee weapons. Now we need the perception to be able to use those tools. Perception will also help our tinkering, which we currently have one of.

The way he pulled out those smoke bombs and laughed... he wants you to panic. But you're stronger than that; you close your eyes, calming your nerves. You take in deep, long breaths of the smoke. And then you concentrate. You block out the sound of your beating heart, the sound of your breath, and above all the sound of your mind.
Nothing.
Until suddenly, you hear the faintest hint of noise behind you... of what sounded like a shunshin. Whirling around, your torch parries your teacher's strike.
"Few untrained ears could hear a shunshin. Where did you learn to block out all distractions?" he intently questions.
"The final boss of Tobirama Kart," you proudly say as you make a strike at him. "To defeat Tobirama is to surpass your mental weaknesses."
He makes a shunshin away from your torch's range of motion.
"Very well, student of Tobirama," he says with the most serious of faces. "Your former teacher has taught you well. This is your final test," he solemnly says while forming multiple handseals.
The room's smoke condenses into a large ball, igniting into a dangerous looking fireball in front of your teacher. Even at your distance, its radiating heat burns your eyes.
"Survive, and attack your opponent!" he affably commands.
A. Bluff and say you'd end him with a powerful Suiton passed down from Tobirama. B. Quickly run to the side and throw your torch at your teacher. C. Use your powerful leg muscles to jump over the fireball, dramatically delivering a downward slash. D. Knowing that an explosion could disrupt the delicate flow of chakra in that fireball, throw your Molotov cocktail at it, and let the resulting bang singe your teacher.

You weigh your options. Unlike the previous tests, he wants you to survive and attack, something a little difficult when there's a giant fireball next to him.
"Idea," you think to yourself in the most deep and badass inner voice you can muster. Reaching for your Molotov cocktail, you shoot a grin off to your teacher. His eyes open when he sees the Molotov cocktail.
"Too late!" you shout, throwing the cocktail at the ball of fire. He wildly forms seals, trying to cancel the jutsu before-
BANG
You throw your arms in front of your face, trying to block the heat and force. The incredible noise nearly burst your eardrums, as a loud ringing noise emanates through your head. The stone tiles underneath the fireball are completely destroyed now. Their remains litter the room. You think you even see some pebbles lodged in the walls, having been turned into fierce projectiles from the force.
"Well done!" you hear a voice from behind. Your teacher stands at the base of the stairwell without a scratch.
"But how-"
"You were fighting a mere shadow of mine," he explains. "Using clones and intense taijutsu, I may be the most dangerous close-combat fighter in all of Suna!" he proudly boasts. "I took note of your amazing learning speed when you talked with Gaara. Did you know Shadow Clone send their memories back to the user?" he asks.
"No, I didn't," you say.
"With each Shadow Clone, the user can learn much faster by taking their memories. I've mastered entire taijutsu styles in a day's worth of light using clones," he says with a large grin. "I may be the perfect teacher for your special ability because of my previous training with Shadow Clones. I know how to reduce mental fatigue from taking vast quantities of information. I know how to keep endurance high when studying. All of this knowledge from trial and error; and I offer it to you," he says.
Before you can respond, a clipboard poofs into his hands.
"Now then, during your trials I took note of your battle strategies, choices of attack and defense, your body's strength, your body's speed, your body's flexibility, and a wide host of other qualities. I wouldn't have put you through those tests if I didn't think it would help you," he says.
"Why thank you," you sarcastically answer.
"Hey now, it's all for the better! From your fights I've been able to quantify your skills and attributes!"
He hands you the clipboard. Most of it is in tiny, illegible handwriting, but on the bottom you make out a chart:
Strength: 3 Perception: 4 Endurance: 3 Willpower: 3 Intelligence: 6 Agility: 5
Barter - 15 Speech - 15 Big Guns - 15 Explosives - 15 Melee Weapons - 45 Unarmed - 15 Non-elemental Ninjutsu: 30 Medical - 30 Tinkering - 35 VATS - 20 Speed Bursts - 25 Sneaking - 25
"What do these numbers mean?" you ask.
"It means you're impossibly skilled for an untrained ninja. Most people at your training would have skills in the single digits, with a couple high 20s. The majority of your skills are above 20," he laughs.
"Nice," you say. "What about my attributes?"
"Your intelligence is unsurprisingly above-average, and you have good agility coupled with decent perception. Your weakness is in your strength, endurance, and willpower. In particular you show talent with melee weapons, but your strength can't back it up. I'd like to pump up your muscles to add force to your swings," he says.
"If I use a piercing weapon, would strength matter as much?" you question.
"Smart question! My experience in combat tells me that strength is always useful in close-quarter situations, but if you plan on using piercing weapons, you could rely more on your agility. But you'll need to be quick on your feet to survive," he warns. "So; what would you like to train in?"
A. Focus on Strength B. Focus on Endurance C. Focus on Willpower D. Your choice of one or more stats, up to three.
1. Focus on Melee Weapons 2. Focus on Speed Bursts 3. Find and focus on an elemental affinity. 4. Your choice of one or more skills, up to three.
Choose a perk from the list:
!. Intense Training (10) - Raise a stat of your choice by one point. @. Fast & Furious (3) - Raise your VATS and Speed Burst skills by 10 points each. #. Art is Eternal (3) - Raise your Medical and Tinkering skills by 10 points each. $. Art is a Bang (3) - Raise your Big Gun and Explosive skills by 10 points each.

Since Intelligence is our strength, and that's the main stat for ninjutsu, learning an element would be best. Then if you want to use ninjutsu, endurance would be needed. Endurance will also help our explosive paper seal traps and ninjutsu. Finally fast and furious for overall speed and reactions to augment our ninjutsu and taijutsu.
Ninjutsu main stat- Intelligence Taijustu main stat- Strength Genjutsu main stat- Willpower Barter - WILLPOWER Speech - WILLPOWER Big Guns - ENDURANCE Explosives ENDURANCE Melee Weapons - STRENGTH. Unarmed - STRENGTH Non-elemental Ninjutsu: INTELLIGENCE Medical - INTELLIGENCE Tinkering -PERCEPTION VATS - PERCEPTION Speed Bursts - AGILITY Sneaking - AGILITY
