If we vote A we still get a reward right? Voting B for now. Still considering that. Probably cut it back to improving on a preexisting technique, but we'll get to that in time. Votes confirm A as the winner for now so I'm going to go ahead and get started on the side-story in a topic for it.

Can we choose what we do next now or are you going to do it yourself? Because I have a plan that could royally screw Madara over.

I have a general concept for a couple of different paths that I was going to suggest in the next vote, but by all means go ahead. I'd like to see how we can take out the prime antagonist early.

I wanted to see if we can save/warn the Jinchuriki before they get captured. I also wanted to sit down and have a chat with the 9 tails and see if we can figure out why he is always so angry. I bet it is because since day 1 he has been controlled by the uchiha/senju all his life and when he isn't being controlled he is being sealed in side somebody.

Intriguing concept, overt. I'm all for adding it toward the next path we choose. The 9-tails may be how it is also as a loss of all Yin(positive IIRC) chakra and is little more than malice with all Yang. If more of it's lost chakra was acquired things could go better on that front.

I was thinking we could research the death god seal thingy to find out a way to release things sealed inside it.

Konoha, Two Weeks after the Fall of Root You've spent much of the last couple of weeks figuring out what works and what doesn't in your eight-years-old body, then how it compares to the henge. To your dismay it obviously takes longer to convey a Rasengan in child-mode, as you're starting to refer to your body as, and shunshining around makes you go wobbly at times.
It's a pretty crappy deal, but at least the fuinjutsu techniques you picked up here and there in the ruins of Uzushigakure in the pseudo-future don't rely on size so much as the intention and dexterity to perform the seals. Oh, and the abundant amount of freaking chakra.
You honestly doubt you could pull off a tenth of them if you didn't have a naturally renewing chakra demon fox within your stomach to power them properly.
Regardless of that, you can confirm that your older henge is best suited for combat still, and Sage Mode still works no matter which way you go about things.
Along the way you've been debating if it's worth the risk to try reconciling with the Kyuubi as Bee and his bijuu did. Unlikely given our previous interactions, and not really needed right now anyway, but if it comes down to facing down Nagato again I think it would help. Hanzo seems pretty intent on going out there in another three months after getting his body back into top form. You think, mind jumping from one subject onto another.
It might be a good idea to get a jump on Madara's jinchuriki collection plan, but helping free up Nagato might be worth the risk. You pause and sigh. If you do the former you'd probably be able to stay with Sage Mode as your major trump card, fuinjutsu not counted, but if you go for the latter and have to deal with each of Nagato's paths...
What do you do? A. Agree to help Hanzo take on Amegakure, with the intention of stopping Nagato. B. Try to reconcile with the Kyuubi, and go seek out the other jinchuriki. C. Agree to help Hanzo only after gathering up further allies from the other Lands. D. Try to reconcile with the Kyuubi, then work with Hanzo to take on Amegakure. E. Other.
No percentage this time.

Probably, but given who we have on our side at the moment he'd probably still go out of his way to eliminate us.

We just have to stop his friends from dying. That was one of the main things that drove him crazy.
I imagine that Madara is still gathering his team since most of the captures happened in part 2 so ima vote D

When Naruto faced Pain for the first time, God Realm wasn't working properly. I don't know how our seals will stop a Shinra Tensei to the face. And then there's Nagato himself, who won't be shy of using Gedo Mazo.
And make sure to rasengan his Rinnegan eyes to dust. Future Naruto knows that Madara had a Rinnegan.
Also, Nagato allowed Akatsuki to communicate with one another through projections. He even allowed them to seal bijuus through the projections. Killing Nagato and destroying the Rinnegan would be a massive blow to Akatsuki's communication, power, and efficiency.
Edit: We should ask Yamato to weaken the Kyuubi while we fight it. We won't have Killer Bee to help this time, but we'll make up for it with Yamato's increased power. Maybe even bring Yamato to the Rain Village afterwards.
Edit 2: Wow, I just realized something. Naruto is completely out of character. He hasn't once day dreamed or fantasized about Sasuke. No wonder this Naruto is so likable.

You pause another few moments in thought before nodding to yourself. It should be years before Madara has the resources to start collecting the other jinchuriki and their bijuu, and for the most part he ultimately worked through Nagato to get that goal started up. For all I know, he's still manipulating the third Mizukage right now.
You push to your feet, resolution growing now that you've made up your mind and focused on a goal to work toward. I'll try to convince Nagato to step back and change, but unless Jiraiya himself was with me and Hanzo was willing to stay out of the matter, I really don't think there's much hope that I can do that before he dies again. As you think that a grimace appears on your face.
If this really does come down to a fight, I'd rather have every area covered. And that means... closing your eyes as you trail off, focusing on that inner realm within your mind where the Kyuubi is sealed away at, you slowly sink out of conscious thought once more.
-----
When you open your eyes again the fox is already watching you quite warily, the single red disk of its right eye focused intently. I'll have no part of joining your side, boy. It swears quite clearly, apparently skimming your thoughts.
Our agreement was neutrality; a truce, working only so long as a threat to our existence carried on. I won't start answering your calls just because you want to walk across the skulls of our opponents more easily!
You frown at the hostility seeping through its voice and running across the air between it and you. "I might very well need the full brunt of your help to stop Nagato in the days ahead- he wasn't exactly a pushover the second time around, and if he has any of that skill readily available to demonstrate again, not to mention what aide the other possible-Akatsuki might have to contribute, the battle could--" your voice is drowned out by the roar that echoes off the sewer chambers from behind the cage bars.
YOU CARE ONLY TO PRESERVE THAT MAGGOT'S LIFE! the sheer degree of killing intent that slams into you is impressive and definitely close to the same amount Sasuke once directed toward the end of things. I have given you the power needed to murder any of my adversaries, and you squander it time and again and trade it in for your precious Sage Mode and senjutsu chakra!
As you listen to its words the intent and message within flickers through among the derision and condemnation it is throwing forward-- flickers of doubt, possibly even a shred of fear for its own life.
In a moment you make up your mind. Is it a good idea? Probably not, but then again, you once swore to sway even the hatred the fox possessed toward you, and you never had the chance to hold to your word in the future.
"Alright, I got it. You won't team up with me like Bee and the eight-tails, even though it would mean getting out from behind that seal and the chance to stretch your bones and tails for the second time in nearly eighty or more years." You say when it pauses to say something else.
A beat passes in silence, and before it can say anything or growl you're already shunshining toward the edge of this place back toward your body. It snarls at your retreating backside and the echo hangs around within your ears once you open your eyes up again in the outside world a second or two later.
One Month Later You let the fox stew on your parting commentary for a few days before going back in. It was not pleasant. You retreated sooner than before with the frown still etched into your features, wondering if it was a good idea to taunt it with the possible benefits of a working partnership when it's personality was so volatile.
Back and forth over the next week and the week after that you tried to come to some form of agreement with it, but wading through the killing intent had quickly become a tiresome effort that left you more drained mentally than any other activity.
By the mid-way point of the third week you went to meet up with Yamato. Barring another trip to Kumo and working with Bee, you were limited to trying to get aide from the local bijuu-controller, and he seemed to be in good enough health that he could actually do so.
Yamato was understandably concerned by your words and things kind of snowballed into meeting with the Hokage and from there working out something to contain and supervise you should you actually go through with trying to beat the Kyuubi into submission again as you had to the last time.
Needless to say, the fox was less than happy and even less willing to do anything. If anything, as a month comes to pass since you first got it in your head to work with it as thoroughly as possible, you've only managed to sour your relationship to about the point it was in the future.
You know it will violently oppose being subjugated, especially by the First's chakra again, and as you think about it, one last option presents itself-- but you've only got a few hours before the time and date you, Yamato, and the Hokage agreed upon for opening the gate and getting things underway will arrive.
What do you do? A. Wait for Yamato's help and the Hokage's supervision, should this turn sour. B. Open the gate now and hope your mom and dad's remaining chakra will still activate and lend aide in subduing the Kyuubi. C. Other.
-----
Been a long while, huh? Sorry to make you guys wait. I honestly didn't think I could write this and the other storyline along with my other projects and keep everything from suffering, and unfortunately it seems that most of that happened anyway.

Thanks, guys. Life has been moderately busy, but like I said in the last post I tried to balance my writing out in the free time I did have and it still didn't work out as well as I had intended.
-----
You know what you should do. Having the fox as your ally is more important for the time ahead than having it forcefully subdued and putting Yamato's life at stake.
You may still have to fight it, but if that happens, you're sure your parents remaining chakra will activate again and you can still overcome what resistance the fox can show.
Standing up from your couch you quickly set up a short parameter and put up at least rudimentary sensor seals and such as a basic precaution. Its possible this will take the full three or so hours you have left before the meeting, and if the Hokage shows up... he might give pause to examine them for a few seconds before otherwise interfering.
Sighing warily, you return to the couch, shut your eyes, and silently hope this works out.
-----
The Kyuubi is already agitated when you arrive, the fur standing on end and a growl emanating out from its jaws. Rather than flashing into a henge as you usually would you walk up through the now-dried out sewer tiles and push through the killing intent it levels at you, raising a hand before it can start up the usual venomous rhetoric.
"I'm willing to work with you and grant you the freedom you deserve from within my body, to materialize your physical form even if we both stand at the controllers position in the mindscape, for limited periods every week." You begin your offer, having cut back from once a month to possibly a few times per several days.
What the locals might think upon seeing the Demon Fox of old doesn't concern you-- in all probability, you'd position yourself rather well out of the way of anyone that could report it, and having the ability to shift into the fox's form like that might be a great intimidation tactic when you face Nagato's troops in Ame.
For a moment things seem like it might actually be willing to agree. Then the tails slam against the bars of the cage and send out another crushing gust of chakra-suffused wind, forcing you to step around quickly.
I've told you before, boy, I will never join your side like a subservient pet, no matter what you try to say! It intones deeply, both red eyes pinned upon your form.
Settling down for a moment you stare at it. "Nothing, huh?" you ask rhetorically, already half-knowing that would be the answer. The decades when the earlier jinchuriki' held control over the Kyuubi, never knowing freedom even once in that time frame, must have eroded what minimal thoughts it had held toward escape.
Being released by Madara was probably the highlight of close to a centuries worth of containment and misery, trapped in the cramped space and used like a living battery for whatever needs the jinchuriki had, and then half of it's being was ripped away and sealed into the Shinigami.
"I figured you'd say that... but I hoped you might be able to see past the hatred." You say and then shunshin forward to the small tag at the front of the gate holding it back.
Before the Kyuubi can try and doing anything, such as direct the brunt of it's intent at you from nigh-point blank range, you rip the tag off.
A moment later and you watch the fox tense up even as you draw your arm around to the seal on your stomach, the complex key to it appearing along your right arm, but before you can touch the two together a strong hand descends upon your shoulder and a voice you were both reluctant and very much looking forward to hearing again pipes up from behind.
"Naruto... what the hell is going on?" your father's last remaining chakra shreds asks softly.
You flicker into your older henge, surprising him and shaking his grip loose, and then slam your fingers into the seal and twist it open. "Wait!" his voice and sudden lunge comes too slowly without his sealing technique applied to aide him, and the lock rapidly enlarges before spiraling around and splitting open.
"Sorry dad, but we've already been over this in the future. Think you and mom can lend a hand in winning this match?" you say over one shoulder as the gates swing open, followed by the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps and an echo of Minato's words with a greater degree of stress applied to them.
For a long moment silence pervades the air, before the thick red eyes narrow considerably and the hind legs kick off to surge toward you.
You soar backwards and catch both of your parents in your shunshin and drag them a good distance away, with the yellow and orange effects of Sage Mode quite clear on your face from that moment of silence to draw it out.
The Kyuubi spies your form again and adjusts its launch to come at you again, and you smile at the uncertain look on your moms face, sparing a moment to do the same for your father before calling up a set of clones.
Two of them shunshin forward and emerge with the Rasenshuriken, while two more gather at your side and offer their aide up over your hands-- and in seconds the lost art of the Planetary Rasengan is surging in place there.
The first two clones don't bother dodging and crash into the Kyuubi with their technique active, hoping to knock it over, only for a pair of the tails to sweep forward and knock them aside to explode uselessly and rather harmlessly away.
Minato recovers from his surprise the swiftest and steps up to your side quickly. "What do you need us to do?" he asks before grabbing Kushina and jumping out of the way at the same time you and the clones do, only you meet it in mid air and launch the swirling assault forward.
What now? A. Minato uses his FTG seals to transport suicide-clones to point-blank range on the Kyuubi and generally warping you around the field, until it's worn down enough for Kushina to chain it down and let you rip out the chakra(Will end the battle quickly, but no other new techs but the Rikudo stuff)
B. Stay out of the fight until it's over and you can talk with them later on(will gain additional knowledge and possibly further techniques, but a harder battle).
