As for the action choices, I think we're supposed to just pick the chain. Forte would do the work of deciding what to chain together. I was kind of hoping that the action choices would be more hands-on. It gives us more versatility and allows us to come up with a strategy as opposed to Forte doing all the work. But if that is what Forte originally intended, then I won't stray off that path.

My only issue is that when I see a cluster**** of jutsus chained together, I'm not going to pick it apart and see what jutsu is better for what. I like to keep it simple. If you enjoy the challenge, I'm not going to take it away from you, but no need to wait for my input because im not touching it

Another thing.... What the frack? Hannah is only 15 years old, but she can drink already? And she's freaking powerful. Man... It seems that everyone we know is either equal to us or more powerful. Yeah, Hannah's got dem GG moves. She's even got a[n infamous] nickname, so you can tell she's boss.

Well, I dunno. I don't mind anyone being hands on, but I can handle attack order if you guys feel like handing it over. I kind of tied the intelligence stat to that, and you guys have a 9 in INT. So that helps you in that you don't have to do too much work, since the MC has a good head on his shoulders already.
With Cadence, you have a combined what...17 in intelligence or something. But I don't mind you guys making the system your own, as long as it doesn't get too too much in my way. I'd tell you if that was happening, though.

Yeah, Hannah's got dem GG moves. She's even got a[n infamous] nickname, so you can tell she's boss. Yeah, that's another thing I noticed. She's freaking 15, man.... Here's the deal clown. I do enjoy a challenge. I like coming up with strategies. I just feel a little sad that you don't feel the same way. But I'm still happy that you're involved. If you don't want to come up with battle strats, that's fine I guess, but at least you could help me with plot choices. I like that. EDIT: Going with clown's vote, btw. Another thing... I understand your position, Forte. I value that more than my optionality when it comes to action choices. I just remind myself of that one "Supermax" choice during the Limit Break challenge. That seemed to catch you off-guard, and I'd like to try and replicate that again.

Here's the deal: if I'm at my computer I can do all the combat strategizing you want. But most of the time in on my phone, and I wont be going back and forth to the jutsu list to figure it out. Its too much of a hassle

Oh, okay. I see what you're going for. Yeah, I don't usually think through every possible choice, so if you guys come up with something that makes me go 'oh, never thought of that', well that's to your advantage. I'll hand out rewards for those, like I did after the Limit Break thing.

Righto. Probably updating tomorrow, or tonight if there's any kind of consensus, I guess. Databook...I'm starting to dread the databook a little. Lots more work to do with that.

You decided on joining her for dinner, but you'd make sure that Cadence came along with you. Before that, you head over to the room you're staying in to take a quick shower.
A few hours later, you hear a knock on your door. You open it and receive a garment bag from a uniformed woman.
"What's this?"
"Clothing for tonight. Captain's request."
"Alright...thanks." Well, it was nice. You didn't have any formal clothing anyways, so it was convenient as well. You guess that Cadence would be getting something as well, since you asked that she be able to come along.
You get dressed up in the suit delivered to you, adjusting the rose in your lapel as you head off to Cadence and Hannah's room. The latter opens the door, and her face turns a bright shade of red.
"I must admit...I'm quite jealous of those two women tonight. You look really handsome, Joshua."
"Thanks. I was hoping I could pull off the formal look...looks like I didn't need to worry so much."
"Cadence should be getting ready still...I'll let her know that you're here. Have a good time tonight," she says with a wink.
"Will do. Appreciate it, Hannah." She heads back inside, and you wait for a few minutes before hearing the door open again. Out steps Cadence, her hair smooth as silk and tied back in a ponytail. She had a strapless black evening gown on, which flared out below her knees, and you didn't hesitate to admit to yourself that it accentuated every part of her...pretty damn well, in fact. She was almost too perfect...
"Hey...just one thing."
"Yeah?"
You place one hand on her head and charge it up with lightning chakra. Immediately, her hair goes back to its natural wild state, and the clip holding her hair back breaks off, letting it spill down her back and over her shoulders as it usually did.
"Hey! What was that for?"
"...Seriously? Did you want to do that? I could just put it back if you like..." She grabs your arm as you prepare to reverse your action.
"You really like my hair like this?"
"Do you, Cadence?"
"...Yeah. I like the way my hair looks, the way it feels. It feels like...me."
"Well, I've always liked your hair the way it was. That's why I did that...sorry for not saying anything first."
"Then I'll go like this. Is that okay?"
"More than fine with me." She smiles and wraps her arms around one of yours as she rests her head on your shoulder, her black heels clicking on the floor below. You both head off to dinner soon after.
---
"Welcome. Have a seat."
You acknowledge the waiter as you pull out Cadence's chair and get her seated before sitting in your own.
"Wonder what the captain's like," she says. "Maybe someone serious? Or even someone crazy."
"Lots of possibilities," you reply. "But we shouldn't make too many assumptions yet."
You see several waiters escorting someone towards you...you guessed that it was the captain on her way at last. She stops for a moment as the waiters dust her chair off thouroughly and seat her with the utmost care.
"Thank you," she says kindly. "You all don't need to go that far, but I appreciate it." The men bow as they leave for other places.
As you look on, you note that she's only a few years older than you at the most. She has the same dark skin as you, and her eyes are a smooth chocolate brown. Her long, black wavy hair reaches down over one side of her face, obscuring one of her eyes. She wears a string of pearls around her neck and has a flower on one side of her white, high-cut dress, which rested on her shoulders and reached all the way down to the floor.
All the while, an air of familiarity lies between you...her visible eye focuses on you for a moment before her lips curl into a smile.
"I didn't think I would meet you again, Joshua."
"Again?" you query. "Have we met before?"
"Indeed we have. But that accident...it may have left you with a memory gap. So you might not remember me too well."
"Hold on. That accident...only Mom, Dad, and Cadence know about that besides me. Unless you were there, too."
"That's right. My name is Samantha..." She extends her hand, and at once, something hits you. Samantha? Wasn't that...!
"Big sis?" you say as you grab onto it gently.
She laughs softly. "That's right. You remembered...it's been a while, hasn't it?"
"Yeah, it has. No wonder you knew about Uncle Luke. Where have you been, though? It's been years..."
"I've just been out on the ocean. That's all there is to tell you. I managed to buy my own ship after working for a while, and it's been a profitable business. They've given me the name 'Wave Empress' for some reason, but such a title...it's a bit much. You're travelling with the 'Golden Shinigami', am I right?"
"Yeah, that's Hannah, from what I hear."
"Interesting...are you going home, by chance?"
"Yeah. I've been doing some wandering myself lately. Ran into Akatsuki just now, too."
"Ah, yes. Akatsuki...an interesting group, to say the least. I've dealt with them before, in various ways. They're not too much trouble if you know what you're doing."
"Guess that makes sense. You remember Cadence, right?"
"Of course! She's not one that you could forget so easily. I see that you two are a couple now...not that I expected anything different."
"You really think so?" Cadence asks.
"I would be surprised if it was any other way. You two were made for each other." You smile over at Cadence and she smiles back. Destiny, huh? Pretty cool.
"So, is there anything that you would like to know? Or are we going to simply enjoy each other's company for the evening? Of course, we could always try and do both while we eat, no?"
---
a) You felt like asking more questions of your sister (Free option).
b) Maybe just talking about goings on would be good for now.
c) Eh, you'd just let the evening flow as it wanted to (basically fast forward through).

So that's the big reveal. The captain is our older sister and something happened to Joshua to were he lost his memory. Hmm... I wonder what that was...? I guess I assumed that she brought us here to tell us something else. It also seems that everybody we've met knows who Akatsuki is... They're really not that secretive, are they?

Well, everyone that matters right now knows about them, yeah. In the manga, they were a discount mercenary group anyways, so I'm sort of playing off of that.
Alright, I need you guys to help me out a bit. Since it's gonna be a fast forward, do you guys have anything that you'd really like to know? Because after this I pretty have you either going to Water Country on a detour after a few days or just skipping 1-2 weeks ahead and getting home for the start of the next arc, or episode I guess. I'll probably add some filler or something, but I don't think I'm going to pad too much.
Or if you guys wanted some flashbacks (in the 3rd person) of other relevant people doing things in the past and whatnot. I dunno. I just don't want to annoy you guys such petty things as filler and 'character development' or whatever they call it these days. Back in my day, our characters only had two dimensions, and we liked it that way.

Honestly... I like character development, but only if its really applicable to a major decision or relative to the plot in some way (like the Cadence decision). I mean, I guess I'm one for exploring and learning more about a particular world and its characters. Right now, I'm kind of curious about Samantha. I guess she already explained that since we last saw her - she saved up for a boat, most likely for transport, until she got more money to buy a bigger boat, and so forth. Hmm... I don't mind filler as long as it's entertaining.
Let's just fast-forward to water country. We could train with Hannah and Cadence while we're there either waiting for a ship to go to Iron Country or whatever. These circumstances could help build up a friendship between them, and make Joshua's life easier when it comes to battle management and so forth. In addition, I don't mind Joshua beefing up on some genjutsu, speed, and strength.

I tend to narrow down my points of interest in thesee things. Right now, its 1. Uncle Luke 2. Cadence 3. Zabuza. I dont know why, I just like Zabuza

Well, if we take the detour, the time of our arrival back home can vary. We might get there early, we might get there on time with the riff-raff, or we might get there a bit later. But realistically speaking, you'd be landing on the edge of Water Country (on one of the outlying islands), so nothing too eventful should happen unless you will it. Otherwise, I'll get y'all some backstory on some things and people such as Zabuza and Luke and the like. And Hannah sipping a Cosmopolitan all the while.
